This is my new theory! When Kairi lost her heart it went inside of Sora. But this didn't create Namine. Namine couldn't have a body, so when Sora released his heart, she was then created. She is made of Kairi's soul, which is made entirely of light, and Sora's body. Later, Xion was created in order to speed up the release of Kingdom Hearts, and to keep Sora from awakening. To do this, Vexen made her a replica of Sora from his memories of Kairi. This makes Xion the Kairi Sora remembered after he woke up. Because Namine is part of Sora as well as Namine, they are connected through Sora AND Kairi. Xion is connected to Kairi because she is the memories of Kairi Sora possesses. I hope this one doesn't backfire...

She is a replica of Sora that was intentionally made (by Vexen) to copy Roxas' abilities involving the Keyblade. In order to keep Sora from awakening, they created her from his most precious memories: those of Kairi. This explains why she resembles Kairi. BUT, she looks different to others. Xigbar see's her as Ventus because he remembers Ventus from Radiant Gardens, and because she is technically part of Sora, as well as Ventus, she looks this way to him. Xemnas sees her as Sora, due to "the connection", and Saix sees her as nothing more than a faceless puppet. Axel saw her as this at first, but when he befriended her, he saw as Roxas does.

Well, yes. But he could dual wield I think mostly because now that Xion was gone, her Keyblade had no master, and because Xion is connected to not only Sora but also Roxas, he was then able to Dual Wield.

Technically, Xion never forged with Roxas, after she was defeated she disintegrated or something and merged back into Sora's heart, and then Riku and DiZ came after Riku defeated Roxas and put him in this alternate world where Roxas doesn't know who he is (at least as a Nobody) and lives there to eventually merge with Sora and awaken him.

Exactly! Remember what King Mickey said? Ansem led the heartless in an attempt to free Kingdom Hearts and failed, whereas Xemnas led the Nobodies in another attempt and failed that time.

Hmmm... yeah, guess you're right. I guess we'll never really know for sure, huh? Well, it doesn't really matter. But if Xion is sleeping inside of Sora's heart, then there could be some way to reawaken her through Kairi or Namine since they have a bit in common. I doubt that could really happen, though. You never know.
