  1. Balthasar got a bit uneasy. He'd always been afraid of heights, but he never knew why. Perhaps it was the tension between Zeus, the god of the sky and the one who had defeated Kronos, his supposed father. But either way, he'd always had been afraid to be in high places, and the way Matt asked that had made him jitter a bit. "Why, what are you gonna do?" He asked, slowly backing away. (not to be naggy, but is there anyway we could move the story along?)
  2. It seemed their were many things that their group of friends had experienced without him, and more and more Balthasar felt like the third wheel, as if he could never truly be as good of a friend they were to each other. In fact, he felt that he could never have that close of a bond with anyone. "Oh, I see..." He said referring to Nessa's comment about Night. He awaited for someone, anyone to make a move soon.
  3. Balthasar turned to the others. "If he's a vampire, can't a stake through the heart or sunlight or a cross kill him or something?" He asked trying to end this conflict. "I don't think a dumb vampire should be too much for all of us to handle right guys?" He said, beginning to get a bit cocky after using part of his powers for the first time, even though he did it involuntarily and out of luck.
  4. Balthasar blinked. "Whoa whoa whoa, there's vampires now? Does everything exist now? Are aliens going to exist now too?" He said jokingly, yet also very frustrated at the fact that he was a non believer for such a log time only to find out not only were these kind of things real, but that he was also one of them, the unique beings. And now, he couldn't tell what was fake and was was real anymore.
  5. (Sorry I haven't been replying for a while, but this is a perfect time for me to come in haha) Balthasar, who had been standby idly by while the scene took place, decided to jump in front of Matt to protect him. Before the chain belt made contact with him, Blathasar flung his arms up to brace for impact and.... Nothing happened. He put his arms down to reveal that everything around him had stopped. Off in the distance he could see palm trees still swaying back and forth, but the general vincinity, and everyone in it, seemed to lay in silence. "Did I do this?" He asked himself, stepping out to the side of the chain belt. He contemplated his next move. "Can I control this yet?" He asked himself. "Ugh, of course not. Which means I have no control over how long this will keep everyone frozen. I wonder if...." Balthasar backed away towards the strange man, and then faced all of his friends with his back to the mysterious enemy, taking in a deep breath. Then concentrating, he waved his hands at them, as they unfroze. "Phew, just what I wanted." He said relieved. "Even the chain belt is still frozen along with this guy. But our luck won't last for long I barely know how I was able to do this, and I don't know how long this will last I suggest we leave while we still can." He said gesturing everyone away from the man.
  6. Balthasar ran along with the others to the shore, where he saw the man. "I'm guessing he's not a friend of yours?" He said to Allison and Nick, glaring at the man and figuring out his next move to get Matt out of danger.
  7. Balthasar was walking through the Forest, calling out to the people he was searching for. "Night! Fenris! Guys! Anyone?" He said strolling down the forest. "Hurry up! I wanna start my training, or better yet, check out that sea temple. Who knows what's in there?" He said to whoever heard him.
  8. Balthasar shrugged. "I'm kinda new to this magic thing. All I know is apparently, I'm the son of Kronos, the Titan who controls time. Quietus over here told me I can freeze and accelerate molecules within a certain area which gives the illusion of me controlling time. But I have no idea how to use it, I'm still a little skeptical about me being the son of a titan." He said, putting his hands in his pockets.
  9. Balthasar looked around. "I think we're closer to the forest, lets get Matt, and then we can get the guy on the shore last, when we leave. Lets go." He said gesturing to everyone towards the forest.
  10. Balthasar heard some of the voices called out, and he crossed his arms. "Couldn't use your magic thing to move us closer to each other, huh?" Balthasar asked gesturing at the magic spear. He glanced around his surroundings, trying to figure out where the voices were. "Well uh, do we go to look for them now?" He suggested to the group, putting his arms down.
  11. "Oh, yeah right, sorry." He said unconvincingly. "Are we near one of them yet? I hate to say this if only to not jynx us, but nothing interesting has happened for a while." He said continuing with Quintus.
  12. Balthasar grinned. "Oh, so she is available? So she's playing hard to get, huh? Well, that's only gonna make me try harder." He said as he picked up his walking pace. "You're gonna train me huh? When do we start? It's cool to think I'm like Allison. I wonder how strong I can be..." He pondered as he continued to walk.
  13. Balthasar shrugged. "I'm always on the move because I have to, so after I found out that I couldn't have friends because of my necessary moving habits, I got tired of trying to care for someone when I'd have to leave them anyways." He continued down the stairs with Quintus. "I went from not caring about anyone else, to not even caring about myself. I started drinking, getting into fights, and now sometimes I'll wake up on the side of a road somewhere with no memory of what happened. I suppose I didn't have a reason to care about anyone or myself, so I just got into all the trouble that came my way." He continued walking quietly.
  14. Balthasar took this in, then nodded, following Quintus. (Me, the son of a titan? Is that even possible?) He thought to himself. "I wonder where Nick and the others are anyways," He said aloud, wondering if Quintus knew the answer to that himself
  15. Balthasar stopped rubbing his head. "Wait, I have powers now? This is all so crazy, although with what I've seen so far..." Then he glanced back at Quintus. "Wait, but why have you protected me? What do you want with me anyways?" He asked with a little bit of an attitude behind his voice.
  16. Balthasar thought of this man as friendly, at least he did for the time being, so he stood up and stretched. (Man I have a big tendency to pass out...) He thought to himself. Then he looked to Quintus. "How'd you know I would come here? I didn't even know where this place was until I met Nick and the others. And what just happened?" He asked in a bit of a rush.
  17. Balthasar slowly awoke. "Ow, my head..." He said rubbing the area of pain. He glanced over to the man in the top hat, and quickly scooted away while still on the ground, suprised that there was someone else in the temple. "Who- who are you?" Balthasar asked. "Did you follow me in here or something?"
  18. Balthasar went down a few more corridors, choosing the direction in which to go purely based on instinct, until he came to a huge room, with a type of alter in the center behind a large stuatue of a person sitting at a throne. Located all around the room were pictures of wars, battles, and a familiar scene of a story he'd heard about once before. "Hey that's the three main Greek gods," Balthasar said as he approached the wall. "This is about how that one titan ate his children except for Zeus, who freed them all. What was his name again... Kronos?" He had gotten goosebumps after saying that name. There was something about it that made him feel weird. Balthasar looked over to the statue of the man sitting on the throne. "Is that supposed to be.... Kronos?" He said, approaching the statue as his goosebumps got worse. He noticed a stand in front of the statue with a stone tablet on it. He walked over to the tablet and noticed it was written in ancient Greek writing. Yet, for some reason, he was able to read it. "When the one born in the Temple of Kronos returns to his birthplace, he shall receive his ability to control the flow of time. For he is the son of Kronos." He was so confused by the fact that he could read ancient Greek so easily, especially considering the language he'd grown up with all his life was English. He thought he saw something else on the tablet, but it was very dusty to tell. So he placed his hand on the cold tablet in an attempt to dust off the tablet. Only when his hand came in contact with the tablet, a flow of energy rushed into him, as he flew back hitting the wall and slowly falling unconscious. "What the..." He muttered before passing out, as the eyes of the Kronos statue shined an emerald glow before fading away again.
  19. Balthasar reached the entrance to the temple, Where there were many images and some type of writing all over the temple walls. "This place... Why do I know it so well? Have I really seen it before.?" With all of his might he pushed the large doors open, to reveal a large entryway into the temple. Balthasar stepped inside. "Well, where to now?" He said as he saw three pathways. After looking at the pathways for a while, he seemed to be pulled by some non existent force to the left. "Left it is then." He said monotonously, walking down the left pathway as the large entry doors closed behind him.
  20. Balthasar had materialized on top of the mountain, landing on his back onto the ground. "What just happened?" He asked, getting up. He then glanced around to see that no one was around him. "Oh... Guess I'm on my own." He looked around his surroundings until he saw steps leading up to a large temple. "Is this the sea temple?" He asked himeself. "No, Nick said the sea temple wasn't on this island. In fact he said the temple was under water I think. Then what temple is..." He didn't know why, but Balthasar was somehow drawn to the temple on the mountain. It almost seemed.... familiar to him. But why? He had been to a lot of places, but anywhere near the Bermuda Triangle wasn't on his list. Still, he was somehow attracted to the mysterious temple, and without even trying to resist the urge, he went up to the steps to explore the temple.
  21. (I'm gonna leave the description up to Xeveemon because it's his rp and all haha) "I can't quite make out all the details, this storms in the way. But that definitely looks like an island." He turned to Allison. "Hey, you can't move the storm away from us, can you? It's all made out of water isn't it? Maybe then we can get a better view, and the ship won't sink on us."
  22. Balthasar rolled his eyes. "Who let Debby Downer on board..." Balthasar glanced over to a nearby window where he saw a land formation in the distance through the dark storm approaching them. "Hey guys... Is that the place we're going to?" He said as he pointed to the window.
  23. Balthasar made a run for the door, tripping over and falling on his way inside. "And you wanted to come here why?" He asked, brushing himself off, although it was mostly pointless because he was soaked. "You know what? I guess I'll just find out for myself. It's not like I'm gonna make sense of it anyways." He said as he leaned against the wall.
  24. Balthasar was awed by Allison's abilities, although tried to make it look as though he wasn't, if only to avoid looking stupid. He considered her fear of their secret coming out, and then shrugged his shoulders. "Might as well keep it a secret. Who'd believe me anyways?" He pondered the things that made these people special, and as different as they seemed from the rest of the world, for some reason he felt like he'd fit right into their group. Somehow he felt he could relate to them better than he would to anyone else. Maybe he'd finally found somewhere to belong, maybe he could finally form bonds with people instead of having to move around, and maybe he was finally going to have something he'd been longing to have, something that many people took for granted. Friends. Balthasar laughed at Nessa's comment. "Oh trust me, I'm not special like you guys, at least not that I know of. Just a normal guy." He said pointing at himself, although he thought of the possibility. He walked around the ship again, feeling very restless. "Man, two weeks of sleep and I wake up confined to a ship. Are we almost to this sea temple thing?" He asked impatiently.
