Iron The golem recoiled from the three cylinders, but was quick to return to fighing form. As the spider struck it the golem, without even seeming to recognize Murial having stabbed her sharp front legs into it's torso, grabbed one with it's left arm, and with it's right struck coldly, swiftly, and brutally at it's body with it's icy and jagged arms. Fire also roared from it's head, and veered directly for Emert as well.... Kamyn "These games are meaningless!" Adriev's arms both formed into blades and he sped towards a group of the duplicates and slashed at them viciously, tearing into them. Platinum/Silver/Gold "Captain..." as Adriev spoke the sound of a blade slipping into flesh was heard. "....is no longer my title." "We left Earth with a purpose. To create a new life for humanity. To escape the war so that our race might survive. Nanomachines and their many uses, medicinal, cruel, war-like, mind-altering... are the bane of our existence. Technology we know it-" The blade slipped further in and the other man began to choke on his own blood. "-has doomed us. I- we were tasked with piloting a simple seed ship, giving human new life. Life away from the hell we created on Earth with our own ambition and foolish dreams of transcendence. We were given that power. We are the ones to decide. You have proven yourself incapable of choosing, so I have made the choice for you, and found others who can do the same." The blade slipped out and the other man fell to the ground and continued slowly choking out his last breaths. "Our nanomachine stores have already been leaked onto the planet. But once I wipe the memory of everyone in cryo-stasis they will have no idea what these powers do. There will be no temptation to use them to destroy a whole planet again, because nobody will understand how. They will think themselves magical, but not all-powerful, as those on Earth did. Think on that, as you choke out your dying breaths as a mortal man. I can save humanity. I can make sure we never get so close to our own destruction again. I'm sorry, I truly am, that it came to this. But hesitance here will only doom us again." The boy had then entered the room, and Adriev picked him up. "Efenton, you foolish child, this isn't a place for kids." A swirling sound was heard, and then the light breaths of the child as he slept. "That's what our technology can do. Trillions of tiny micro-machines swirling in the air, attaching themselves to human hosts for a variety of uses. I can put my son to sleep in an instant with a wave of my hand, isn't it awe-inspiring... and frightening? Don't worry, I, and those I have chosen to help me, will be sure humanity stays safe." He placed Efenton on a nearby chair and walked over to his co-captain. "We will be the gods of this new humanity. We can use the Evraius's reactors to boost our nanomachines and act as gods of the world, using fear to keep these people safe from themselves. If they are too scared to wonder, then their wondering will never lead to pain. If they believe it is magic, perhaps they shall never have the cold ambition our people did, perhaps they shall be spiritual, kind, understanding." Adriev went through the process of opening the cryo-stasis chambers- the hundreds of thousands of them on the seed ship Evraius. Footsteps were heard. It was impossible to tell from the recording but they were of some familiar people- Vortimer, Griver, Ryu.... "Sleep peacefully, my fellow captain. For now I will become a god, of fear, yes, but a god that will be sure that humanity never returns to the dark times of moving beyond our abilities to maintain our own safety..." "Both us captains die today. And I return... as a Kamyn."

Gold/Silver/Platinum "Oh that?" Adriev seemed un-phased in the recording. He let the silence hold the moment for a bit longer and then spoke as the air dripped with it. "That was just me detonating the crew decks. Too many fools who know the truth. They won't be useful, and when we wake up the whole cryo-population they would simply explain all that has come before, and ruin the new world that is to be created." He smiled. "As captain of the Seed-ship Evraius I think I have a right to decide who lives and who dies aboard my vessel for the good of humanity." He paused. "And the kids are doing just fine."

Yup, let's keep on trucking everyone. We had a moment where someone was more nude than it publicly acceptable, I approved of it, and now we're past it. This RP isn't gonna be one about sexual content (Which is why that rule is in place), that's not what the world or general story are about. We're just getting to what I think will be a really interesting part, so no use dwelling on past events.

I want to make a quick announcement: it would seem some people felt there were some issues with Oathkeeper's character's actions, and it seems that outside mods were notified about it, and the posts pertaining to those actions have now been removed. If this is something you find questionable on a site-wide level of course it's your prerogative to report as you see fit, but I figured this may be the best opportunity to go over my personal policies on the matter. I have a rule for the RP that suggests nothing beyond a PG-13 level of sexual content, but of course this is somewhat flexible to the nature of the story and the characters. If you are personally offended by things that are posted here, and wish to take personal action on that account, that's completely fine. However, if you take issue with player actions because of the way you think it affects the RP and the RP's story, I find that to be less a matter for outside parties and more for me and the players involved. Moderation on this site is great, but issues with the story and characters can probably be more specifically and delicately handled if it goes through the members of the RP itself, that way we can veer the story in a better direction instead of having posts removed and leaving people in a jumble of which actions for characters are actually counted as legitimate. Please, if you have a concern with how a player is influencing the story, post on this thread, or, if you want a more anonymous approach, simply PM me, and your identity will be fully concealed if you so wish. This way I can take into consideration the nature of the story, and characters and act accordingly. This way the story can maintain a hopefully steady chronology and not be too meddled if issues arise. Also, this can help to not cause any ill-will between any of you, as all of you are great RPs and I would hate to see any strife here. Also, I'd like to simply point out for the record that, while sexual, I had and continue to have no issue with Oathkeeper's actions during the RP thus far. I want this to be a pleasant and enjoyable RP, but I also feel that allowing people to RP as they see fit for the most part allows for a more dynamic and unique story to take form. I do indeed have set rules for this RP, but RPs in general carry a lot of subjective content and judgement of them can't be black and white, it's something that takes discussion, compromise and understanding. I hope we can all see Evraius through with a fair helping of all of those things, and enjoy the story and other players while we're at it. See you on the mountain. -MDS

We're almost to that magical moment in every RP... where the truthbombs start fallin'. No turning back now.

Iron The lift sprung to life and brought the entire Iron team to a lightless room above where they were. In the darkness, though, a flicker appeared. Some form of flame. It illuminated that the room was quite large and made of metal, and above the flame was a large metallic sign reading "Malfunctioning units." In front of the flame was a young woman though... Kinzoku (read the next section for Kinzoku as well) Kinzoku Kinzuku landed hard, but some force beneath her had given way and allowed her to remain relatively unscathed even from such a huge fall. Now she was in a darkened room... behind her a rumbling came forth, and the Iron team arrived on a lift from below. Now her and the Iron team stood in this room... and a flame appeared before them. At first it was small, but then it began to spread... and move... The flames spread but then another section of the room started sparking with electricity, which also spread. Soon there was also frosty ice spreading as well... Soon it became clear; there was a being in the room that was creating and using all of these elements. As the light stretched out across the room it illuminated the creature's form, which was a gigantic, hunched-over humanoid figure, of which the head and upper torso were fire, the arms were ice, and the legs were electricity, all with a sort of ever-morphing metal, which was dynamically shifting at all times. The elements shifted too. It was as if the creature was made of of thousands... no... millions of little beings that all controlled elements and dynamically formed together.... A sort of elemental golem... but far more potent and destructive. In a moment it swung wordlessly down at Kinzoku with it's icy fist, swift and merciless, it's arm stretching and sharpening to a blade as it came down. Gold/Silver/Platinum From the pedestal with the button a sound arrived... Adriev. But he sounded different.... warmer... more... human. "So, we have all the critical systems online right? The cryo chambers are all still functional? We didn't lose anybody?" That was when another voice chimed in... Kamyn Adriev laughed. "A celestial being? How quaint. Your petty gods are pitiful and foolish to think themselves on the level of Kamyn. Your power comes from faith, mine from force. I will teach you your place, traitor. Then I will put my final plan into motion for all of your friends left on this world." The smile of Adriev's was sinister and daunting. "Make your first move, I shall relish in your death."

((Quick note- Griver isn't coming to the chamber you all are in. He's been sent further down the line to wait for any survivors because Adriev thinks Efenton is fighting the humans. His orders shouldn't coincide with you guys until after the deal with Efenton and the recording is done.))

Iron "Griver." Adriev's voice reached the Kamyn. "You have fought well, but now is the time to retreat. Efenton is taking care of the Gold, Silver, and Platinum teams as we speak. Head to the location just beyond where he is, he may leave one or two alive to face the final test, and I want you to be there. Iron team has earned their passage in any case. Our great game is coming to a close once more." The lift behind Griver sprung to life, only awaiting it's passengers to begin it's motion. Kamyn Adriev was waiting, waiting for the final chance to rid his world of this traitor Ryu. Iron team was battered, Gold, Silver, and Platinum were being dealt with by his son. All was in place. The next move Ryu made would be his last, Adriev swore. Soon the world would be new again.

Kamyn Adriev scoffed. "Prepare yourself then fool. Take as much time as you wish. You precious humans are all dying in the meantime..." Silver/Platinum The door slammed shut, and behind it the floor Kinzoku stood on dropped out, sending her into darkness... into the unknown. On the other side of the door, the ever-smaller group gathered in a small white room with strange screens adoring the walls. In the center was a button. The side of the room suddenly opened up though, to reveal the Gold group, standing in a room of identical size... just on the other side. Gold Tired out, the team still remained alone with the button. The only way forwards, or backwards.... Towards life.... or death. Then the wall opened up, showing Silver and Platinum teams... what remained of them, on the other side. The button on Gold team's side slid back into the ground, and Silver/Platinum's slide to the center of the new room both teams now stood in... Someone.... something.... was coming to them though.

Apologies for the delay; moving for school. In any case, some groups should be watching their backs... some big stuff is about to start going down.

Kamyn The first orb gathered more and more mass as it flew towards Ryu, before finally slammning into the other Kamyn with all it's force. "This will be a quick fight if you just stand there." Adriev seemed unimpressed. Silver/Platinum The doors then, without warning, started to slowly close on their own. In a matter of seconds they would clamp down on the sword Tristan had put there and seal off the room for good once that was out of the way. The remaining team members had to rush now if they were to make it to the mysterious next room with all the screens and the button. "Move along now, children. Kinzoku's curse has paved her own way, let her fate be, you need not share it. Simply forget her as those doors close..." Adriev's voice was cold and sinister, but it was also truthful; there was nothing to be done now. Gold Now that the battleground had reverted to it's previous state only one thing remained; the button in the very center of the room that had risen up after Duke was defeated. It was unknown what would happen if they pressed it, but there was no other way and after a test like the one they had just encountered it was unlikely Adriev would throw another at them.

Kamyn "Very well, then traitor." Adriev seemed, at least on the outside, to be unfazed by Ryu's skill. "Allow me to arrange transportation." A sphere appeared around the both of them, and began shining. After 30 seconds the shine became intensely bright and then began to dim. The two Kamyn now found themselves on a desert with no signs of life anywhere. Adriev's blade disappeared, and instead both his hands suddenly materialized orbs of energy, which proceeded to grow more and more dense and bright. "No restrictions?" Adriev threw one of the orbs towards Ryu, and as it moved, the whole ground 50 feet around it was torn asunder and pulled apart atomically, garnering more and more mass as the orb shot towards Ryu. "Let this battle truly begin then." ((Ultimus, the Iron team is fighting Sanya right now, so just join in with her against them for now.))

Huzzah! Welcome back, Silver!

(Just as a note, be sure you're not fully restricting other people's actions in overwhelming ways or acting for them. We want some openness in the fights and interactions here and that take some give an take. There's been some god-moddy stuff, but nothing overwhelming. Just keep an eye on it folks) Kamyn Adriev recoiled. He even looked like he was wincing. That was... unexpected. For a moment his mental link broke. Ryu had perfected his abilities more than Adriev had noticed. This was a problem. "You're not bad, but you still are an impudent fool, and no amount of your power will stop the judgement that is to come, as much as you may want it to." The blade in Adriev's hand amplified to twice it's size and he shot towards Ryu with a flurry of blows, a renewed passion in his eyes, and a slight pain in his chest... Gold And then they came back. Drale. Cornelius. Amber. They all regained their movement abilities and their powers. Some disruption on Adriev's side led to the machine in the room returning the energy it had drained, and now they all could stand and fight again. And now with Duke having been temporarily defeated and having left they stood in an all white room again. A single pedestal rode from the ground. This was different then one they had ever seen before. It had strange orbs all around it. There was a single button on the top of the pedestal.... Silver/Platinum Finally the door opened. On the other side of the door was a faded white room, with various framed glass panels adorning the walls, and in the very center was a strange metallic podium... with a single button on it. There was no other noticeable door besides the one they would enter through. But that couldn't matter now. They had to move now and they had to move fast. Iron "Remember Sanya..." Adriev's voice entered her mind. "Toy with them. Test them. Some of them have potential. Don't kill them.... yet."

Understandable, but don't you worry. Adriev has power, but he also heavily underestimates others, and doesn't nearly perfect the use of powers like others. He'll be beatable. Also, not to give anything away, but beating the Kamyn one-to-one isn't the only way to claim victory over them. In the case of an overpowered egotistical leader like Adriev I would even say being smart and taking advantage of his mindset of being above all others is the best way to get the upper hand, and you guys will learn more about opposing him in a little bit. Your comment about it being possibly being OP isn't falling on deaf ears though, keep the commentary coming, I'm trying to keep things as interesting and fun as possible. But as you'll see in his battle with Ryu, his magic power doesn't equate to him being unparalleled. (The Sylar comparison may or may not be really on point though )

Kamyn "My powers?" Adriev laughed. "All this time and you never realized, Ryu? I was foolish to take you as a subordinate." The air around the two began to vibrate, first mildly, and then mildly. "Look familiar Ryu? Surprised you aren't the one doing it? My power, to answer your question, is a mental link. While I stop short of mind reading, I can read emotions, communicate, and most importantly, begin to make use of my hosts.... magic as the normal people would call it. Unfrotunatley it's only a small amount and it's both temporary and weakened while the person is alive, but once they die... Then I can make more usage of their powers. How many Kamyn and humans do you think have died on this mountain, Ryu? How many do you think I linked with?" A blade of pure energy appeared in Adriev's hand, the other one sparked with electricity. "Don't worry. I shall not use your own power against you, and I shall only employ a fraction of my skills, that is all it will take." Adriev smiled and sighed. "And as to your second question. My plans are none of your concern. By the time things truly going into action you will be long gone." Then Adriev shot towards Ryu, blade first.... Gold Now the test had well and truly begun... Vortimer facing what remained of the Gold Team fighting force... Silver/Platinum Adriev's voice boomed. "You all are so indecisive. You have one minute before I kill you all." Now the clock was ticking. It was now or it was never. Iron The lift beyond the newly-opened door began to move, it was time to get on or be left behind. Just as it moved though, the bag of various remains from Sanya flew into the air, her remains landing on the moving lift and her form reconstructing. She looked... different somehow. "Welcome to the Kamyn." Adriev's voice spoke to her. "Toy with them if need be, I will be in contact soon."

Sanya Adirev's figure approached her. "All this power, this care and this strength, and you don't know what to do?" He reached out his hand. "Fight to preserve humanity, as we Kamyn do." And so then he explained to her. Kamyn "Griver...." Adriev's voice reached his subordinates as Ryu escaped. "Go to the enclave where the Iron team is. Test them before allowing them on the lift that lies ahead of them. "Vortimer...." Now it was the other who heard his voice. "Teleport to the chamber where the Gold is. You shall be their last trial, and with three of them unable to fight I should think it will be an easy killing." Now both of them heard his final comment. "Leave Ryu to me." Adriev appeared before Ryu as he flew. "You sure are persistent. Very well then. You have my audience. Do you wish to say something or shall I proceed to killing you?" Gold The being recoiled with a screech. Then it looked at Ferro with it's hateful, cold eyes. In it's last moments it jumped towards him and dissipated into various spears of flame with each one flying towards Ferro. One last attack to wound... or to kill

((I counted Apollo, Lance Alburght, Varion Hain, Fairy, Aya Kozakura, Sairi Kozakura, Tristan, Kinzoku, and Jasper in the lineup. Looks like at least Lance isn't gonna be actively a character for the moment, though he may. Pretium posted only a few pages ago as Apollo. Other than that I think we're accounted for. You can currently count Lance as out unless we hear anything.)) .

((Just so you know, there was a door that opened at the back of the room leading to a huge lift, it's at the end of the post.))

Gold The being of darkness recoiled from being hit by Ferro, and then it's abilities were temporarily suspended. As a way to recharge them it sucked more power from the three paralyzed climbers on the ground, further injuring them. As this happened, it dove towards Sandrew, angry at his attack, and clawed at his face viciously, scapes of black flame licking off it's fingers as it did. Iron As the recording orb was touch, the entire room was bathed in a faint dimmed light. The skeletons were still there, yes, but a transparent lightened form of the room appeared as well, and where the skeletons lay there were now people, dead still, but only recently. On the throne where the regal skeleton was appeared the spectral image of a man in the same armor, bearded, wrinkled, distraught. "Perhaps one day someone will hear these words. Years from now. When I am long gone and out people long forgotten." A huge echoey crash was then heard at the door the team had ventured in. "We haven't much time." the old man sighed. "I am Faefnur, the king of the Evraius faithful, those who have chosen to live under this mountain and worship the Kamyn. The people we thought were our lords. We came here to do their bidding and they allowed us because we only followed their orders." Another large crash was heard. The man looked increasingly worried. "It's different now. We went to far into the mountain.... we found..." Another crash from outside the door, stone and dust fell around the man due to the force. "Our lords. The Kamyn. They aren't... they aren't this world's gods. They aren't anyone's gods. They aren't gods at all! This mountain isn't a mountain at all! At the peak you'll find what makes them powerful. We thought it was magic we use in life, it isn't! We are too foolish to see what it is. They understand it, and that is why they are powerful!" A momentous crash brought more stones falling down around him. "There is no more time to explain. After our discovery they were... displeased. They hunted us. I sealed the door with magic locks, but knowing their power, I had my followers all poison themselves. So they cannot get to us. I shall be the last. Remember us travelers. Please. And for whatever reason you have come to Evraius; leave. There is nothing here but death and secrets." The man then reached into his bag and pulled out a vial of dark liquid, and downed it. "If..." he began to choke, "if you cannot leave.... then- .... the summit. Find.... the summit. It is there." He fell back into his chair and chocked more grasping the orb tightly in his hand, then he was still. The illusion evaporated and a door opened behind the throne, leading to a huge magic-activated lift that sat at the bottom of a great shaft, leading upward.... Sanya "Sanya...." The voice was familiar. "Sanya........" Somewhere in this darkness it emanated. "Sanya..........." Adriev..... She stood alone in a vast space of darkness, and he spoke to her. "You are so very close to dying for a final time, Sanya, so tell me, do you wish to be returned to life?

Yup, it's open.

I HAVE RETURNED LET THE FUN RECOMMENCE!

Kamyn "You fool Ryu...." Adriev was getting angry. He didn't want to have to get involved himself... Iron On the walls of the room huge tapestries were hung. They showed beings of light upon a mountain, shining down on indiscriminate people on the ground below. Holy flames from the mountain peak burning the unrighteous, and other intriguing images. Why would these people have lived within Evraius? Why were they here and why did they die? Perhaps the answers lay in the recording orb, which could transmit and retain recorded speech from humans... perhaps the truth lay there... Gold Sandrew's dome reflected all the lasers, and they shot around the room, before eventually all destroying their origin points, leaving silence and the smell of burning throughout. "Good good. See how useful you are Sandrew, Ferro. Imagine how much more powerful you could be without this dead weight." Adriev's voice was sinister. "Now let's see when that dead weight turns against you, or more specifically, their powers do..." A shadow appeared on the wall. It shifted around, morphing and changing, then finally it's hand reached out, moving off the wall and into coporeal form. Then it's leg, then it's other arm. Soon a humanoid shadow being stood before the group. In a moment it's hand extended into a shadow blade, black flames began to lick off it's other hand. It fired dark flame in a huge spurt towards Ferro, and charged the group of three lying on the ground, leaping into the air and stabbing towards Cornelius.... Silver/Platinum Adriev watched the group without a word... They were planning, conceptualizing. This was unexpected. Was he... wrong?

Just so you all know, I've been in a busy week and will be back full time by Monday.
