  2. Hello! This is a KH RP me and my friends are doing. Please, if you have anymore question, direct them here and I'll answer them as soon as possible: http://kh13.com/forum/topic/43980-kingdom-hearts-khxiii-sign-up/
  3. Xero I grinned as I watched the house fall. "Now that that's taken care of." I said. "Time to really mess things up." I returned to Castle Oblivion. The club had never been this full. I had to open two more floors to make enough room. I smirked as I locked the main doors behind me. I walked through the crowds to the stereo. I opened up the interior and flipped a switch. Invisible darkness flowed from the stereo as the music increased in volume. I closed it back and leaned back against it. I watched the crowd slowly succumb to the darkness, now slaves to the music. I considered going after Sephirix and Lexa, but disregarded it. Between the three of them, Vanitas, Lexa and Sephirix were going to make more pain than I ever could. As it was.... I wouldn't mind a little fun. There was still the Organization. I'd wait a little while to break my other treaty with them. Vanitas, however.... Considering his emotional state, I'm sure I'll have my bit of fun with him. Lexa "It's 1 a.m., Seph. Why do you think Xero hasn't come yet?" I asked, yawning. "....I don't know, but I've got a bad feeling." Sephirix said. "Do you have a way of contacting the guys?" I asked. "...No." He answered. "Maybe we should-" "No!" Sephirix yelled. I flinched away from his angry tone. "I mean...sorry, I didn't want to snap at you like that." He apologized. "It's okay. You're just under a lot of stress, right?" I said. "It's because of Vanitas, right? He's with Xero?" "Yes." Sephirix answered. "Okay, then." I said. "I've got a feeling Xero isn't coming." I stretched and yawned again. "Tired?" He asked. "Mm-hmm." I replied. I felt my eyes start to close at the mention of sleep. "Easy, there. Come on, sleepy." Sephirix chuckled. I held Sephirix's hand as he led me into the back of a cave, eyes slowly closing. I felt Sephirix push me gently on to a cot. He let go of my hand and started to walk away. "Don't go." I opened my eyes again, and stared at his back. He turned around. "You...used to sleep by my bed to keep the nightmares away, right?" I said. I remembered someone I cared for deeply used to do that; it had to be him. "Of course." Sephirix reassured. He sat down next to me on the cold rock. "You going to sleep?" I asked. "Nah, I'm not tired. Rest well, princess." He said. I closed my eyes. Unfortunately, I had another nightmare, though this was more memory than dream. "XONCRON, YOU OKAY?!" I head Rixec yell in the darkness. I heard Xon groan in the background. "XON?!" Rixec yelled again. "...I'll get over it. You okay?" I heard Xon say, strained. "Can you move?!" heard Rixec call out. "No, one of the supporting beams of the house has me pinned down. You?" The dream switched to something else. "Finally, I got contact with you!" I heard a voice echo in my head. "Who are you?!" I said. "Oh, God, you don't remember anything, do you?" The voice said. "Lexa, it's me." He said. "Try to remember. Please." He begged. "I...I'm trying." I answered. The voice sounded desperate. "Lexa, where are you?!" He asked. "What has Sephirix told you?!" "First, answer who you are!" I demanded. "It's me, Vanitas. We're-" "GET OUT OF MY HEAD!" I screamed inside. He immediately pulled away. "GET. OUT!" I yelled again. I woke up. "Jesus." I said and sat up. "So, any dreams?" Sephirix asked, still in the same spot. "...Vanitas got into my head." I answered. "HE WHAT!?" Sephirix yelled, immediately alarmed. "Don't worry; I kicked him out. Yelled at him a good bit, too." I said. "Good; anything else?" He asked. "....where were Rix and Xon at last time you saw them?" I asked. "Radiant Garden. Why?" He asked. "I had a dream they were stuck somewhere dark. Xon mentioned something about being pinned down by one of the supporting beams. Does that mean anything to you?"
  4. Vanitas No words. No words can describe what I feel. Fury, anger, hatred, all are minor compared to what I feel. My Unversed were in a frenzy, distancing themselves from my shaking sanity. My sight had turned blood red. I needed break something, preferably Sephirix's neck. He had her. He had my Lexa. HE HAD LEXA. Xoncron had the sense to pin me down when I let loose. "Vanitas, you need to chill! I know that might seem really hard, but try to hold it back. Lexa needs you to be calm!" He said. And with that, my sight returned to normal. I noticed that I was radiating darkness more than I normally do and shut it down. I shook my had, shaking off the feeling. "Sorry." Lexa "Oh, my God, what is this?!" I squealed as I ate the candy. "It's Pocky. I can still see you love it as much as you did." Sephirix laughed. We had sat down to eat when he handed the red box of 'Pocky' to me. I nodded, smiling. I started messing around in my pockets. "What are you doing?" Sephirix asked. "Seeing what I have in here." I said. "Maybe something'll help me remember." I said. I pulled out a silver item with a apple logo on the pack. "I-Pod?" I said, reading the back. I put in one of the earphones that connected to it. Sephirix watched me closely. I turned it on and saw I had a song paused. I pressed the play button. I'm in the business of misery, Let's take it from the top- I grabbed my head as disjointed images flowed into my head. "OW!" I yelled. "Lexa!" Sephirix reached over immediately. "Wait!" I yelled. "I-" I remembered. I remembered names, faces: Roxas, Axel, Sora, Kairi, Riku, the Organization, Va- My mind skipped over something as my memories flooded through me- Ventus, Aqua, Terra, Xehanort. Everything suddenly went black and then went into fast-forward. Open the door. "Name's Lexa. Lexa Infinite." "Your heart is strong, Lexa." Xehanort chuckled. "It's a pity you do not have a body to match it." Welcome back, Lexa. You have many questions. They will be answered in time. However, you must answer your questions yourself. I answered back. "What about Xehanort? I have to fight him!" Why must you? What is your reasoning? God, even my heart was logical. "Because....I have to protect my friends." I said. I take it you do not need to reaffirm what you wish to fight with. "No." I replied. Then follow your heart and control your inner fire, lest you burn more than you mean to. A man of 20 years jumped over the guard rails and landed in front of me. I knew who it was the moment I saw him. I recognized the way he stood, his attitude, the way he held himself. "Xoncron!" I said, overjoyed. "How'd you guess?" he said coolly. "How could I not?" I said. "For the Order of the X-Blade?" Xoncron cracked a slight grin. "Always for the Order." I closed my eyes, and retreated into myself. I felt a strong bass beat. What song was my heart singing? I recognized it after a few moments. When I did, it re-winded to the start. I heard my own voice. "I...will....say...YES!" I released all the pent-up energy. I felt the guitar riffs go straight through me and I opened my eyes. Everyone had disappeared. I looked at myself and saw that I was on fire. I could also hear the music in my ears. A static-like noise and appearance entered this memory, making it hard to look at. I felt something grab my ankle and pull me down. My left hand automatically flew up as I reached for Xoncron. The world went black as I realized I was being pulled into darkness. I felt Xoncron reach in and grab my left wrist. The only thing he could do was stop the progress whatever-it-was was making. I felt the darkness swarm around me, wanting to consume me, annoyed by my cloak. My heart stopped as the thing holding my ankle started chuckling. A second hand wrapped around my wrist. "Not that bad, not bad at all. I guess I'll see you around." He mocked. He let go of my ankle. I gasped as I was pulled out into the light. "LEXA! LEXA, ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!" Xoncron grabbed my shoulders. I was shaking like a leaf. "Oh, my god....oh, my god...." I said. I felt like I was going to pass out. "Answer me, Lexa!" Xoncron said. "I'm...physically okay." I said. "Emotionally and mentally....Freaking out." I said, holding my knees. "What was it?!" Xoncron said. "It...was....."I panted, trying to regain calm and oxygen. "Vanitas." I said, finally. "Vanitas?" Xoncron said. "I thought-" "Yeah, I did, too." I said. The memory suddenly switched. I was running, running until I thought my hear would stop, running so hard I felt as if I was a burning streak. I looked behind me. Too close, too close! I tried to run faster, I only went slower. I was running in an empty wasteland, nothing but rocks and sand forever. I looked behind me for too long. I tripped over and landed on my face. I hit the ground. I quickly turned over, looking back, scooting backwards. I saw my coat was ripped to shreds, I felt blood streaming from a throbbing cut on my cheek; to my horror, I saw Xoncron and Snow, lifeless on the ground, a single figure stepping over them. The figure turned into many things: Xemnas, Ansem, Terranort, the Slenderman, Larxene, Master Xehanort, and finally the face I so cared about and so feared: Vanitas. He summoned Void Gear. "Game over." He swung it up, my arm covered my face- A wave of fire erupted from my Keyblade as I thought of one of the most difficult projects I had ever done, and never finished: Through the Fire and Flames. "The hell?!" Vanitas leaped back. I rushed forward. Xehanort did the wise thing and moved the hell out of the way. I ran until I reached the Altar of Naught, Vanitas on my tail. "No where left to run, Lexa! Give up!" I stood at the ledge of the tower. "Lexa!" A voice called down. I saw a Keyblade Glider with two people on it. "Oh, no." I said in dread, fires still burning bright. "Ventus!" Vanitas said, his attention turned away from me. Alright, let's see what I can do. I built up the flames, my feet rising briefly as I sent a wave of fire at the Glider, pushing it far, far, far away from Vanitas's grasp. The song stopped. I fell on my knees, panting. "YOU STUPID GIRL!" Vanitas shouted, infuriated. The last thing I saw before passing out were those burning, golden eyes grasping my shoulders as I fell into unconsciousness. "Lexa! Lexa! Lexa, wake up!" I heard a faint voice. I'm trying, dammit. I thought, frustrated. My eyes fluttered. I saw a girl standing above me, shaking me up. I felt so...weak. "Vanitas...where's Vanitas?" I asked, breathlessly. "Fighting Ventus." she said. I shot up, then fell back down. "Oww...." I groaned. "I feel like I got ran over by a semi." "Lexa!" I shot up again as I heard Xoncron's voice. This time Xoncron caught me before I fell over. "Lexa, you undeniable jackass! WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU WERE DOING?!" Xoncron yelled at me. This was the first time I'd ever seen him pissed. "...Sorry?" I tried. "This is beyond sorry, this is-" Xoncron stopped. "Never again. Ever." "Okay." I replied. I concentrated and said, "Cura." I felt some of my strength return, enough to fight well enough. I stood up to see Vanitas smash the end of Void Gear into Ven's chest, knocking him back. I was still in shock when I woke up. I shot up about to yell my head off. "Calm down; we're okay." Rixec said, giving me a thumbs up. "OKAY? WE'RE OKAY?!" I grabbed the front of Rixec's clothes, shaking him back and forth, laughing and still kind of pissed. "Oh, my God, never do that again." I let go of Rixec, back hitting the ground. "Correction: Never do that again, unless necessary." I couldn't stop laughing. "Oh. My. God. Freaking out. So much. I sound. Like. An idiot." I said between laughs. "Twilight Town again, huh? I don't know about you but I could use a nice nap..." I felt my eyes droop. "I used so much energy..." "Sleep, Lexa. You're in safe hands." Rixec said. "If you do weird stuff to me while I'm sleeping, I'll..." I felt hot tears running down my face. I started wiping my face with my right sleeve. "Even in the real world, I would nearly cry over this song...." I said. Rixec suddenly embraced me. I started crying harder. I felt a second pair of strong arms wrap around me. "It's okay. It's okay." Xoncron said. I leaned into Xoncron. "I...I...." I couldn't stop. I stayed like that for who knows how long. After a while, I felt the need to explain. "That....was about...I miss everyone back home...and I'm rather shocked about my assistant..."I said. "That's right; Vanitas was your assistant in your posts, right?" "Not just that: Vanitas is my muse, the source of my work and projects and writing,my imagination personified. I feel as if someone's torn a hole in my heart where my imagination is." I said. "I'm in love with my work, you could say." I laughed weakly. "What's that supposed to mean?" Xoncron said. "Wouldn't you like to know? Unfortunately, that's one of the secrets I need to keep." I said. "You gonna be okay?" Rixec said. I nodded. "I'll be okay. I just had a lot on my mind." I smiled a bit. "I've made a decision: you two are picking where we go next, I honestly don't care! Anywhere but here and near!" I laughed. "That's the Lexa I know!" Xoncron said, lightly punching me in the arm. I grinned, feeling much more like myself. "Yep, anywhere but here and near. Have I made a rhyme?" I said. "You talk just like you post: random." Xoncron said. "Yep, and that's not gonna change, ever." I said. "So, you managed to find yourself? Big f&cking whoop." I turned to my right to see her. "You know, I'm rather pissed off at you." I said. "Yeah, I know. I am you." She rolled her eyes. God, this..thing was everything I hate about me. "No, I refuse to loose to such an idiot! You won't..." She landed on her knees, trying to keep herself together. "It's over." I said. "You'll never be rid of me." She growled. "I know, but at least I'll be able to keep you under lock and key." I said. As she faded, the Awakening grew brighter and became less corrupt. You have done well. I felt myself rise up and out, unsure of what havoc she had reigned during my absence. The sound stopped and I looked up. "You're Xero." I said, and backed up. "Yep. No longer your shadow, just Xero." She laughed and I wanted to cover my ears again. I looked around. "Where-" "They're still on the fourth floor, freaking out about you." She smirked. "You should know that this place isn't owned by the Organization anymore. You're welcome." She said and grabbed the front of my coat; I was still dazed from the ringing noise. "Oh, this is so much fun. I should really give Larxy a turn, though...oh, well, guess I'll just be tenderizing you a bit for the main course." I struggled as she lifted me off the floor. "Vanitas is going to kick your skanky-" She adjusted her grip and interrupted me. "Sorry, Lover-Girl, Vanitas has already been taken care of. I'll make sure he get what's coming to him, though." And with that, I went into automatic. I sent out a Reflect spell out and jumped back, summoning Bond of Flame. "Oooh, you got tougher. I like it!" She giggled. "Let's go!" She summoned a solid black Bond of Flame. "Bond of Flame, meet Binds of Darkness." I won that battle with the first move. I ran forward and grabbed her Keyblade arm as she swung it, narrowly missing my face. I twisted her wrist harshly. She yelped. "Tell me where Vanitas is, or I'll break it." I said. "You wouldn't dare, you goody-goody two shoes." She glared at me. "Try me." I twisted harder. I knew at this point her wrist was sprained; it was amazing that she still was only as strong as the last time we fought. She groaned. "Give up." I said. "You mentioned something about Larxene; let's hear it." I raised my Keyblade, ready to shatter her arm from the elbow down. "Okay, okay, okay!" She finally took the hint that I was dead serious. "Larxy's got Vanitas somewhere, she wouldn't tell me! She mentioned it being one of the only worlds that is permanently dark; that's all I know!" She said. "Good, Xero." I said. "Sorry I had to sprain your wrist, you just weren't getting the point. Are we clear now?" I said. "Transparently." She said and I let go. "Send Marluxia my regards." I said and made an about-face. "You really shouldn't have done that." I said. "Do what? Beat the crap out of your boyfriend or take apart your memories? Either way it was fun, wasn't it, Larxy?" Xero said. "Let's just shut up and fight so we can get this over." I said. Taking on two sadistic rhymes-with-witches is not the easiest thing I've done. To say it easily, I was on the defense. The barrier separating me and Xoncron from helping each other didn't help. Thank God, William and Ven had managed to get Vanitas away from the fight. "Alright, playtime's over!" I said, ready to unleash a Firaza. "Not so fast!" Larxene's kunai caught right between the connecting part of Bond of Flame, where it looked like an hourglass. The Keyblade literally split. "What?!" The three of us said as the top part appeared in my left hand. I grinned. "Oh,yeah, this is better." I started fighting, Axel-style. There are benefits to playing and replaying Kingdom Hearts II: you learn fighting styles really quick. "Come here, I'll make it all stop!" I yelled out. The flames grew higher. "BURN, BABY!" I dodged behind the wall of flame, waiting for the right opportunities and taking them. "Surrender and I'll make this easier for you two!" I yelled out. "When Hell freezes over!" Xero yelled back. "Afraid to touch the flames, aren't you, you little nothing?" I retorted. "Oh, that is it! Larxene, stay out of this, she's getting it! Xero dropped Binds of Darkness and leaped straight for me. Xero's face-meet my size 9! I kicked up and hit her rather solidly. She flew back in front of Larxene. "What was that about taking her on your own?" Larxene looked down and said. "God, she broke my nose!" Xero said and clutched her face. I felt something shift behind me. "Hold still or you're dead." I heard Xoncron's dark self say. Oh, to hell with that! I reached back and flipped him over, slamming him hard into the bailey floor. "Next time, when you mess with one of us, remember you mess with all of us. Next time, you won't live to regret it." I walked past him to Vanitas, who had regained consciousness. "Lexa, I am so glad you and I aren't on the opposite sides." He shook his head. I laughed nervously. "Where's the dream team?" I said, looking around. Xoncron came coughing out of a cloud of smoke. "Nice job trying to suffocate me! Marluxia and his lackeys left." He said. I remembered fighting, fighting so hard, music pounding in my heart, a song in my soul. I- Woke up. "Lexa, you okay?" I was still in the same place we were eating. "I remember." I whispered. "How much?!" He asked. "Where are Xon and Rix?" I asked. "....They're out in the world, making sure you are safe. Do you remember me?" He asked. I shook my head. "Oh, well." He sighed. "Oh, and I remembered this." I summoned my Keyblade. "Ta-da!" I said. "No more damsel in distress." I grinned. "It's name is....Bond of Flame."
  5. Xero "Day 29!" I sang as I walked into the first floor. Things could not be going better: Lexa was out of the way, Vanitas was Kingdom-Hearts-knows-where, and, as a whole, their little group was starting to fall apart. There was just one little issue that nagged at the back of my mind.... The Organization. Things had been rather quiet when it came to the Organization. I had a double treaty with them, so I was covered. However....a little suspicion never hurt anyone. Especially for those who are denizens of the Dark. I had decided to close the club for the day so I could work on the armor. I had enough profit to buy anything I needed to fortify this place and fix this thing up good. I grinned. No more would be any person's secondary. Now, this time, I'd be in charge. Hell hath no fury than I. Vanitas No. Trace. I thought it would be impossible for someone to vanish off the face of the world. Now I'm reconsidering that point. As I walked dejectedly back into Radiant Garden, I thought everything over. Okay, who else might have Lexa? Maybe he has accomplices. A list of faces came into my mind. Xero, treaty or no, would love to see Lexa gone. I'm not going to rule out Dark-Xon; people have come back before. The Organization....I think not, but there's a slight possibility. I opened the door to the house to see everyone surrounding a person bound on the floor. I stood there in shock as I tried to process the situation. "Okay, what the hell?" I said as I gave up. They finally realized I had arrived. "Nice to see you're back." Xoncron said, with a slight bitterness. "No luck, I take it?" I shook my head. "Not a trace." I said. "Sorry I was an ass." Xoncron nodded. "Mind telling me what this is about?" I said. "It's a good possibility he has information about Sephirix." He answered. "Oh?" I said. I walked past him and picked up the boy by the front of his armor. "Let's cut to the chase, then." I said and summoned Void Gear. "Talk." I said. "Vanitas, calm down." Rixec said, noting my lethally quiet tone. "I'll calm down when I have Lexa back. I suggest you start talking, boy. I tend to get...violent when someone I care for is in danger." "Vanitas, put him down." Xoncron said, placing a hand on my shoulder. I felt the darkness rise. The boy glared back, fearless. Which, in his case, was the smart thing to do. "Fine, you all deal with him." I said and dropped him unceremoniously. "Rixec, you should know something...." I said as I began to walk out the door. "I'm not ruling out the possibility that Sephirix is innocent. However...." I turned back and looked him dead in the eye. "If he has kidnapped Lexa or hurt her in anyway, he's a dead man walking. I won't be able to hold my temper if he's done something to her." I said. "Are we clear?" Rixec narrowed his eyes. "When does the treaty end?" I asked as the thought ran through my mind. Rixec and Xoncron looked at each other in alarm as they thought about it. "Today is the 29th day." Rixec said. "Which means...?" I asked. "Either tomorrow or the day after, Xero and the Organization are going to break all hell." Rixec said.
  6. Lexa As I slept, I had the oddest dreams, some memories, some things that had spun off of things I had heard and seen....one song kept on repeating, showing faces in black and white shadows. I could only see the frames of the faces, fighting, pushing for the spotlight. It all seems so familiar and yet..... Ever on and on I continue circling With nothing but my hate in a carousel of agony Till slowly I forget and my heart starts vanishing And suddenly I see that I can't break free-- I'm slipping through the cracks of a dark eternity With nothing but my pain and the paralyzing agony To tell me who I am, who I was Uncertainty enveloping my mind Till I can't break free, and Maybe it's a dream; maybe nothing else is real But it wouldn't mean a thing if I told you how I feel So I'm tired of all the pain, of the misery inside And I wish that I could live feeling nothing but the night You can tell me what to say; you can tell me where to go But I doubt that I would care, and my heart would never know If I make another move there'll be no more turning back Because everything will change, and it all will fade to black Will tomorrow ever come? Will I make it through the night? Will there ever be a place for the broken in the light? Am I hurting? Am I sad? Should I stay, or should I go? I've forgotten how to tell. Did I ever even know? Can I take another step? I've done everything I can All the people that I see I will never understand If I find a way to change, if I step into the light Then I'll never be the same, and it all will fade to white Ever on and on I continue circling With nothing but my hate in a carousel of agony Till slowly I forget and my heart starts vanishing And suddenly I see that I can't break free--I'm Slipping through the cracks of a dark eternity With nothing but my pain and the paralyzing agony To tell me who I am, who I was Uncertainty enveloping my mind Till I can't break free, and Maybe it's a dream; maybe nothing else is real But it wouldn't mean a thing if I told you how I feel So I'm tired of all the pain, of the misery inside And I wish that I could live feeling nothing but the night You can tell me what to say; you can tell me where to go But I doubt that I would care, and my heart would never know If I make another move there'll be no more turning back Because everything will change, and it all will fade to black If I make another move, if I take another step Then it all would fall apart. There'd be nothing of me left If I'm crying in the wind, if I'm crying in the night Will there ever be a way? Will my heart return to white? Can you tell me who you are? Can you tell me where I am? I've forgotten how to see; I've forgotten if I can If I opened up my eyes there'd be no more going back 'Cause I'd throw it all away, and it all would fade to black I opened my eyes. My mind was still in haze and I didn't recognize anything, although, I think I should have. "Hey there, sleepyhead." I looked up at a man with silver hair standing above me. He helped me sit up and sat down next to me, smiling. He seemed nice. "Who....are you?" I concentrated and said. He looked back at me in shock. "You don't remember?!" He said. I slowly shook my head. He remained silent for a moment. "Do you even know your own name?" He finally said. ".....No." I said after concentrating hard. He sighed. "Your name is Lexa." I nodded. That seemed right. "My name is Sephirix." He said. "I'm...." He hesitated. "Your boyfriend, although that really doesn't cover it all." He chuckled. "Why....am I here?" I looked around the cave. He thought over it for a moment. "It was our enemy. He invaded your mind and broke your memories apart. I've been hoping you would wake up for the longest time." He said, quietly. "Who is..." I tried to say my question. "Our enemy's name is Vanitas." Vanitas I summoned as many Unversed as I could at one time. "FIND LEXA AND KILL SEPHIRIX!" I yelled at all of them. They cowered from my anger. I hadn't been this pissed ever. "ALL OF YOUR OTHER MISSIONS ARE CANCELLED! SPREAD THE WORD AMONG YOURSELVES!" I commanded to the Unversed that remained."I've got my own work to deal with." I said as I summoned my Glider. "Lead me to her, star." I closed my eyes. I felt that spark of light connected to her Wayfinder. "Yes." I sighed in relief. She still had it on. That meant Sephirix hadn't thought to take it back. I grinned grimly as I thought of what would happen if he did try to take it from her. Whatever state she was in, she wouldn't appreciate it at all. I admit, I felt slight remorse for being an ass to Xoncron. Rixec, not so much, but Xoncron, yes. This wasn't his fault, this was Sephirix. And that son of a bitch was already dead. He just didn't know it yet. Xero I waited until the club had cleared out to see my creation. I had told Lexa previously that everything I do has some sort of ulterior reason. I pulled back the panel that held my creation. "Very soon, very soon, indeed." I said, quietly as I gazed at the nearly pitch black Keyblade Armour. It's amazing what you can salvage if you look hard enough. I'd found this long ago in the Realm of Darkness. It originally was pure white, minus a few patches of rust, but, due to the massive amounts of negativity it was now storing from all the emotions that raged during the nights in Castle Oblivion, it had changed. "Soon." I said and closed it back, hiding from view.
  7. Lexa "Why is it you are so afraid of heights, and yet you can fall asleep?" Vanitas sighed as he helped me down from the Glider. "Easy: you won't let me fall." I winked. I looked around the world we were in. It looked like a clearing in the middle of a forest. Wildflowers of different kinds grew everywhere, making a wonderful smell. "Wow....I've never seen this place." I said. "I don't doubt it. This isn't in the realm of light." Vanitas said. "Huh?" I asked. "You know how in the realm of light, how the darkness gets in? It's the same thing here, except the light managed to get in here....I did quite a bit of wondering during my early days, got myself lost, and ended up here." Vanitas said. "It's pretty." I answered. Vanitas and I journeyed around for those two days, never really staying in one place, except to rest. I count those two days as some of the best days of my life. "Well, let's go see how truly crazy Xero's place is, eh?" Vanitas said. Vanitas landed the Glider next to Castle Oblivion. "You're going to be shocked." I said. "Try me-" Vanitas opened the front door. "...I stand corrected." Vanitas said and walked in. The place was PACKED, more packed than it had ever been before. "Whoa...." I said. "Vanitas, Lexa!" Xero walked over. "Notice a different change in tunes?" She grinned. Instead of pop and hip-hop, loud heavy metal blared from the speakers. "I take it people are moshing?" I asked. "Yep." Xero grinned. "Best. Sales. EVER. Here, these are for you." Xero handed Vanitas two drinks. "Don't worry, poisoning, etc., falls under the treaty, blah, blah, blah. Hey, I got some people seeing to do, so later." Xero left as soon as she had arrived. "Lexa!" I heard Xon at the bar. "Come on." We walked over to Xon. "How's it going?" I asked. "It's going." Xon asked. "Any sign of Sephirix?" Vanitas asked on a serious note. "No, actually....You didn't see him on your trip?" Vanitas shook his head. "So...where's this girl I hear you've been fighting over?" Xon pointed across the room. "Not going up to her?" Vanitas smirked. "Waiting for the right moment." Xoncron said. "Ah." Vanitas said. "Trust me, it's a million times better when the girl asks you out." Vanitas gave me nudge. "Hey, why don't we go dance?" Vanitas motioned toward the crowd. "Oh, I can't dance..." I said. "You can't?" Vanitas asked. "I never learned how." I answered. "Well, then, it seems about the right time to learn." A slower song came on the stereo and Vanitas started pulling me out on to the dance floor. "I mean it, I can't-" Vanitas pulled me up on top of his feet. "Just move along with me and you'll learn just fine." I hold that memory of me and Vanitas being so close together dearly. It would be the last time for a very long time that we would be close.... "Hey, play Whispers in the Dark!" I heard Vanitas call out to Xero. Xero looked at him from on top of the stereo system and nodded. "Why that?" I asked. "....It reminds me of you." Vanitas said and spun me in a circle. "I think you can dance on your own now." Vanitas smiled. "Vanitas, I need to get some fresh air." I said, starting to feel claustrophobic with all the people around. "You sure?" I nodded. "Okay. If you're going home, tell me, promise?" "Promise." I gave Vanitas a quick kiss and maneuvered through the crowd to the door. I stood outside the castle. I thought of everything that had happened within the last few days. I laughed in joy. "Wow..." I said. "Look like my luck's changed for good." After a few moments of catching my breath, I started to go inside. Suddenly, a massive amount of Heartless appeared and blocked the door. "What?!" I summoned Bond of Flame. Whenever I knocked down one, three more appeared. "Why haven't they heard yet?!" The music inside the club must have been too loud, but why didn't Vanitas- I was starting to feel worn out when I noticed the pool of darkness under my feet. Something grabbed my feet and pulled down hard. I summoned as much flame and sound as I could muster as a pair of arms encircled my chest, holding me tight like a vise. "Silence." The voice was too low for me figure out who it was. The music stopped instantly. I started to panic and thrash as hard as I could against the arms holding me in. In response, one of the arms moved and hit me in the stomach, causing me to gasp. One of the arms immediately tipped a potion into my open mouth and moved so that a hand covered my mouth, the other arm still wrapped around my torso. The same hand pinched my nose shut, making me unwillingly swallow. His grip loosened as I started to feel sleepy. No! Don't fall asleep...don't....fall....
  8. Vanitas I SWEAR TO Kingdom Hearts, IT'S EITHER GOING TO BE ME OR SEPHIRIX! I was fuming as Xoncron lead me away. "What is with you!?" Xoncron said to me when we got a decent distance from the rest of them. I glared, not at hi, though. "HE started it, not me. THAT-" I closed my eyes and my fingers curled into a fist. "He crossed the line." I opened my eyes. "He can do what ever he likes to me, I've dealt with enough. It's when he tries to hurt HER that I get touchy. I didn't fight for my life for three freaking weeks to get my ass kicked by-" I groaned as I felt my strength leave me. "Vanitas?" Xoncron said as I hit the ground. "And there's the end of that...." I said. "I told Joshua it was a good possibility that Sephirix would attack me and returned my strength to me for a short period of time. Whatever strength I had is now gone: being dead has it's consequences. Lexa is stronger than me now. No doubt, if I tried to fight him again, I'd perish." Xoncron's eyes narrowed. "....I try to do what is best for her, what will make her happiest, try to defend her honor. At least you can know I don't fight for me." I said. "...I believe it." Xoncron sat down as well. "I don't trust Sephirix as far as I can throw him." He said. "Considering how strong you are? That's got to be pretty far." I smirked. "You're not as prideful as you used to be." Xoncron said. "It's because of Lexa. She always brings out the best in me." I said. I frowned as I thought of something. "....Sephirix said something earlier and you are the genius of this group, so I'm asking you, not her this...." I paused, trying to put my thoughts into words. "Have things for Lexa gotten harder because of me?" I asked. Xoncron thought for a moment. "...No. In fact, Lexa is much stronger when you are around. Did Sephirix say that?" I nodded. "I never thought you'd let him get under your skin." Xoncron said. "Vanitas...do you mean it?" "Huh?" I looked over at Xoncron. "Do you really want to make Lexa happy and try to protect her?" He said. "Yes, more than anything." I answered. "...." Xoncron remained still in concentration. "....The best thing to make her happy, I think, is just for you to be around her. She's on Cloud 9 everytime you are with her." Xoncron said. "Really?" I asked. "Yep." "Hey, I heard there was a sh!tstorm and I wasn't invited?!" Xero jumped down from a ledge above us. "Vanitas and Sephirix got into it pretty bad." Xoncron said, guarded. "Easy, Xon-Xon." Xero said, waving her hand as if she waving away his tone. "What do you want, Xero?" I said. "Why is it I have to want something to be around you two?" Me and Xoncron gave Xero the same look. "Okay, getting death stares, I can take a hint." Xero put up her hands. "Leave Lexa alone; she's not in the best state." I said. "Yeah, yeah, whatevs." Xero said and walked off. "Sometimes, I think Lexa is too diplomatic for her own good." I sighed.Lexa "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!" I said and hugged William. "AH!" She said. "LEXA-CAN'T-BREATHE!" She said. "Oh, my God, where have you been?" I asked. "We can tell everyone when we're all together." William said. "Where's Roxas and Ven?" I asked. "Like I said, when we're all together." William said. "So, still after Dark-Xon?" "No...you know what, Xoncron can explain this best. Let's get home." I got back to the house, Vanitas standing in the door. "Okay, the guys will explain everything to you." Vanitas grinned and wrapped his arm around my hip. "Where are you going?" Xoncron said, moving behind Vanitas. "You've all had your chance with her. I'm taking this girl into my custody." Vanitas grinned. "What about-" I started to say, looking at William. "We still have a whole 9 days, right? I think I can take a few of yours." Vanitas said. "You're kidnapping me?" I said, flatly. "It's not kidnapping if I get consent." Vanitas said with a devious smirk. "What if I say no?" I teased. Vanitas moved me closer to him. "I think you'll find me very convincing." Vanitas said quietly. I blushed. "Well, what do you say?" Vanitas said in the same tone, golden eyes glowing in the dark. "Okay." I said quietly, knowing if I raised voice, I'd squeal. "Good!" Vanitas summoned the Glider. "Hey, if Sephirix comes back, tell him-" Vanitas whispered something to Xoncron. Xoncron busted out laughing. Vanitas grinned. "Anyway, you can tell Rixec I'm sorry for blowing up. You tend to be a bit cranky after coming back from the dead." Vanitas lifted me up onto his Glider. I noticed he had to use a bit more effort than normal. Odd....."I'll be back in two days. Meet me at C.O., okay?!" Vanitas hopped onto the Glider and off into the night. "Lexa, wake up." I shook myself into wakefulness. "Sorry." I said. "Nah, it's okay." Vanitas said. I noticed the Glider had stopped. "Lexa, look around us." We were surrounded by a sea of stars. "Oh, wow..." I said. "I thought you might like this...."Vanitas turned around and sat down, making me sit down as well. "Small enough to be fast, yet big enough for us to do this." I said, admiring the Glider. Vanitas grabbed my right hand. "Since the day I left, you've been in my every thought. I could say I'm rather crazy for you." I blushed again. "The whole time I was fighting....I was waiting for this moment." Vanitas moved his left hand to behind my head and pulled me close to him. He stopped when our faces were only an inch apart. "Lexa, I love you and I'll always love you, no matter what. And don't you ever forget it." Vanitas said. I leaned in and gave him his answer. "Never." Our lips met and it was like a wildfire. One minute I was sitting up, then I was on my back. I smacked his hand when he went for the zipper of the cloak. Vanitas laughed deep in his throat, and pressed harder into my lips. I broke off the kiss, but Vanitas moved down to my neck, causing me to really freak out. "Vanitas, if you keep that up, I'm going to pass out." I said. "You think so?" He chuckled. "Serious as the grave here." I said. "Okay." Vanitas gave me one last kiss then got off. Vanitas helped me back up. "I love you, too."
  9. Vanitas "So, how did you come back?" Lexa asked as we walked toward the house, hand in hand. "Ever heard of the Reaper's Game?" I asked her. Lexa stopped dead in her tracks for a moment. "That would explain the whole Pi-Face episode..." She muttered, pondering something. "Hey, how do you know about that?" I asked. "I have my sources." She said and winked. "So, THAT'S why it took three weeks. Who was your partner?" It continues to amaze me, the things she knows. "Actually....it was you." I said. "Huh?!" She looked up, confused. "Yeah, it caused a massive quagmire for the Reapers. You think the Organization can't get their stuff together? You should see the Reapers. What a joke." I grinned as Lexa laughed. "Anyway, Joshua couldn't find out why the Game automatically chose you, so I had to fight alone." I said. "Sucked, didn't it?" She asked, grinning. "Nah." I shrugged it off. "After I survived a third week, they let me off the hook." I answered. "I missed you." "Missed you more." Lexa said and moved closer to me as we walked into the house. "This is our base? Kinda small, isn't it?" Lexa laughed again. "Someone's in a happy mood." I heard Xero say behind me. "Remind me again why we're letting the psycho into our house?" I heard Rixec chuckle behind Xero. "I told you, we have a treaty." Lexa said. "Who's idea was that?" I said. "Mine." Lexa answered. "Trust me, we've got the stuff that matters hidden." "Hey, what does that mean?!" Xero said. "I implied nothing." Lexa grinned. I sat down on the couch. Lexa followed suit and leaned against my right shoulder. "You should know that's the happiest she's been in weeks." Xoncron said and walked past us. "Whatcha doing, Xon?" Lexa called back as he walked into another room. "Why do you need to know?" He called back, not unkindly. "Just wondering." She answered. I looked down at the Wayfinder. "It looks good on you." I said. "Oh?" Lexa looked down. "Thanks." She blushed. "I'm leaving you two before it gets too mushy." Rixec said and started to leave. Lexa gave me a mischievous grin and yelled, "You know you're only jealous because you can't get any, Rix!" I heard Xon laugh in another room. "What was that about?" I asked. "Rixec and Xon have been fighting over the same girl for the last month." She answered. "Really, now?" I said. Lexa nodded. "Hey, I meant to give this to you." I pulled a piece of red and black armor out of my pocket. "What is it?" Lexa looked over it as she held it in her hands. "Put it on." I said. Lexa gave the armor a bemused look. I sighed. "Hold still." I grabbed it from her and moved behind her. I slipped the straps of the armor over her right arm and tied it to her shoulder, pinning it tightly to the cloak. "What does it do?" Lexa asked as I put it on. "Come outside." "Explain to me why we are in the Great Maw?" Lexa asked. "This." I tapped on the piece of armor. A black and red glider appeared, taking after Lexa's Keyblade. "Whoa!" She said. "That's-" "Yours. Come on, Lexa. Time to sink or swim." I grinned. I've had plenty of practice-" "On mine, which retains balance, no matter what. Yours is untrained." I said. Lexa visibly paled. "Easy, Lexa: I'll help you out, okay? You are perfectly safe. You know how to drive, right?" Lexa shook her head solemnly. "You are 17 and you can't drive?" I said flatly. "...don't remind me." Lexa is, by far, one of the most unbalanced people I've ever met. Not to mention afraid of heights. After an hour, we started to make progress, though. "Okay, time to switch things up..." I said. "Lexa, you trust me, right?" "With my-" Her Glider wobbled again and she steadied it. "Life." "Okay, then, jump!" I called to her. Lexa hesitated then leaped off the Glider and into my arms. "See? I'll never you fall." Lexa smiled up. I landed the Glider. I saw something move out of the corner of my eye. As Lexa let herself off, I glanced at it. That idiot was watching us the whole time, waiting. "Lexa, wait here." I said. "What?!" She said. Lexa looked past me and turned red. "I know that face; what happened?" Lexa quickly explained what had transpired the previous night. "...I see." I said. "Lexa, go home, get Xon and come back, alright? I've got some things to settle." Lexa nodded and got on her Glider, flying back into the town. "Let's take care of this little issue, then." I said to myself, summoning Void Gear, walking to Sephirix.
  10. Lexa When things got settled down a little more, I decided to dedicate to training myself harder. Like hell I was going to be damn princess of this group. I managed to convince Xoncron to help me out. At first, he hesitated to hit as hard as I knew he could, but after some...convincing, he forgot about going easy. I panted. "Lexa, it's getting-" I struck Way To Dawn, making Xoncron blink. "-Late. We need to stop." I shook my head. "Look, all you are doing is wearing yourself out. Come on." He said. "No way." I said. "I'm fine. Keep going." Xoncron sighed and desummoned Way to Dawn, moving back. "If you want to pull an all-nighter again, get Xero; I'm done." He said. "Xoncron, please!" I said and followed him as he walked away from the castle postern. "Why is it you keep insisting on me training you?" He asked. "Because I know you won't try anything funny." I said. "....And you are the most powerful in the group and I don't have to worry about doing something stupid." Xoncron smacked me upside the head. "What?!" I said. "WHAT WAS THE HECK WAS THAT FOR?!" Xoncron chuckled. "Xoncron, I'll never understand you." I said. "So...you want training, huh?" He said after a while, grinning. "I don't like that look and I really don't like you when you get that look." I said. "Question: does this belong to you?" Xoncron held up my I-Pod. "Hand that back!" I reached up for it. One of the disadvantages of being 5'4: friends tend to play keep-away. "You want it?" Xoncron said. "Yes, now hand it over!" I said, jumping for it. "You're going to have to learn to run fast, then!" He ran down to the bailey and disappeared into the shadows. "JERK!" I ran after him. Unable to find him, I...well, it's not cheating if there aren't any rules! I went back home and asked Rixec where Xon had gone off to. "He said something about hiding out in the castle. Better run fast, he's only there for the next...15 minutes." I ran toward the castle and summoned the Glider to gain entrance. "Game's up, Xon, I know you're in here!" I walked into the castle chapel. My voice echoed against the dark stone. "Geez, it's creepy in here." I walked out into the center. "Xon?" I called out. Maybe I'd missed him.... I suddenly felt someone wrap an arm around my chest tightly, pulling back. Instinctively, I threw him over me and onto the ground, summoning Void Gear. Before I got a good look, he had disappeared. "Xon, this isn't funny!" I said. The room went pitch black as I looked around. "You wanted training, you got it." I heard Xon say. "What-" I heard a noise and swung up Void Gear, feeling Way to Dawn's weight hit it hard. "Good, good: you get the point of this exercise. You can't see, but you can still hear. Win, and I'll hand your I-Pod back. Lose and you'll regret it." I heard Xoncron say somewhere to my right. I struck out with Bond of Flame in my other hand. "Dual wielding this time?" Xon said to my left this time. I leaped at him, touching nothing but air. "Come on, Lexa, you're better than this!" Xoncron said. "Give my sight and I'll be mopping the floor with you." I retorted. The fight didn't go well at first. Xoncron was kicking my ass badly, and getting more bold in his smart-ass comments. The room went silent. Open your eyes, Lexa. I opened them. I saw not the dim light of the moon through the stained glass of the chapel, but bright light as I saw Xoncron and myself. Violet light pulsated from Xoncron as I heard every hidden melody, harmony and beat of the world around me. I couldn't quite place what the song from Xoncron was, but it was...instrumental, serious and... Strike. I yelled and moved forward. Xoncron hit Void Gear and then caught Bond of Flame with his other hand. "Whoa!" I heard him say, voice amplified. I grinned. This was more like it! We entered a phase of flurried blows, neither one of us winning nor losing. It wasn't like I was stronger than him, because I definitely wasn't. It was...I'm still trying to work out how it was, but it was like I could see all the light in his heart and all the light around me and I moved accordingly. I saw an opening and I took it. I tripped Xon on Void Gear and pinned him down with Bond of Flame. "I win." I said. "Not quite." I suddenly found myself on my back, my normal sight returned to me. "Well done." Xoncron said and helped me up. "You're getting better. I needed to get you motivated. You tend to do much better with a goal. How did you find out I was up here?" He asked as he handed back my I-Pod. "Rixec." I shrugged. "Ah. You cheated." He replied. "It's not cheating if there's no rules." I retorted as we made our way out. Time passed..... Me and Xoncron continued to train in between the randomness that occurred constantly in the days that past. It was on the 20th day of vacation that the reality of the world decided to break the tranquility we had.... "LEXA!" I looked up, utterly shocked. "WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT!?" Rixec said as I lowered Void Gear. "I-I-I don't know." I said. I'd had my third black-out that day. I kept on seeing through another's eyes. This black out had the misfortune of being violent. "Lexa-" I felt someone whirl me around. "Was it Vanitas?" Sephirix demanded. "I-I don't-" "Lexa, don't lie!" "HEY!" Xoncron pried me from his grip. "Look, whatever it was, we may never know: this is not the time to be jumping to conclusions. And you-" Xoncron glared at Sephirix. "-Hands off. That's not from me, that's from him." Things calmed down after a few hours. I was about to hit the sack when Sephirix came up to me. "Hey, Lexa. Might I ask what the best way to burn something is?" I rolled my eyes. "Pranking Xon again?" I sighed. "The best way is to use kerosene, gasoline or most household products. Did you know that hairspray, of all things, is highly flammable..." I listed out all of the stuff I knew about pyro-ness. "....And, above all else, unless you have a master pyro nearby, DO NOT EVER mess with propane tanks. 'Kay?" I said. "Well, I'm going to sleep. Later." I walked into my room, kicking Xero off my bed (due to property damage from an incident at C.O., she decided to stay here overnight, or at least until the flames died out). Thunder boomed and I started awake. I slowed my heart beat. I sniffed. "Jesus, someone's house is burning." I sensed a big fire nearby. "Just what I need: a rainy night and a bloody house is on fire...." I slipped on my coat and walked out the front door. I looked around the town. I didn't see any signs of fire. I realized then the fire was coming from back home. I ran back behind the house. I saw Sephirix standing next to a bonfire. It took me three seconds to realize what was burning. The suitcase, the journal, the envelope, the Wayfinder, in a blaze... It took only one for me to loose my lid completely. I would have blacked out, but not this time. No Xero there to hold me back. I was pure white-hot fury. I knew one thing. Sephirix was going to pay. Xero I sensed the balance between me and Lexa shift. I immediately got up and jumped out the living room window. Lexa was ablaze, the most angry I'd ever seen her. I noticed the bonfire and its contents. Music coursed the ground as Lexa advanced on Sephirix. I quickly grabbed Lexa's arms and pulled her back. The ground shook as she, unable to whale upon Sephirix, turned her attention to making our eardrums burst. Trapped in purgatory A lifeless object, alive Awaiting reprisal Death will be their acquisition The sky is turning red Return to power draws near Fall into me, the sky's crimson tears Abolish the rules made of stone I held tightly on to Lexa as I felt the darkness start to slip from my grasp. "LEXA, WOULD VANITAS WANT THIS!?" I screamed out in desperation. Almost immediately, the darkness returned and the music stopped. "What is going on?!" I let go off Lexa as Xoncron and Rixec marched out. "Here, take her." I handed Lexa off to Rixec. "What happened?!" "THAT happened!" I pointed at the bonfire. "Is that-" Xoncron said. "Yes, but it's only a replication!" I said. "WHAT?!" Sephirix said, speaking for the first time. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN, IT'S ONLY A REPLICATION!?" "I suspected you were going to do this. Luckily at least one of us thinks of consequences: if you had really burned those things, any and all connections left with Vanitas to Lexa would have been burned away, thus leaving what little balance we have to be shifted. And if you think I'm bad...you don't want to see an Anti-Lexa." I glared at Sephirix. ' "You need to go." I said. "What?! You aren't even part-" "Leave, Sephirix. At least until we can get Lexa sorted out." I said. "Do I really need to call a vote?" Sephirix glared for a moment, but left. Lexa "Here you go: unburned and good as new. No, I didn't look." Xero handed me Vanitas's stuff. "How did you-" "Get the Wayfinder? Wasn't easy." Xero shrugged. "Thank you." I held them close. The next day continued on like any-other until sunset..... "21 days...three weeks." I said. "Yep, only 9 days." Xero said as the four of us made our way home. "Well, wha-" A sudden burst of bright light hit the center of the postern. I shielded my eyes. "WHAT IS THIS?!" I heard Xero yell. A strong gale blew everyone but me back. I opened my eyes as the light cleared. Standing in the center of the postern was.... I fell to my knees, tears going down my face. He turned around and I stood up once more. He smiled. "Hey, Ginger." He opened his arms as I jumped into them and he spun me around, laughing. He set me back on my feet and we immediately kissed, though briefly, only a peck. "Vanitas." I said with joy. I threw my arms around his neck and cried. "Lexa, are you crying?" He asked. "Yeah, I'm crying." I laughed and cried and smiled at the same time. I looked into his eyes. The missing part of my heart floated back and locked itself in, never to leave again.

  16. Xero After giving the three guys a good cussing out, I managed to get the club dry enough for everyone to come back in. I went and sat back down with Lexa at the bar. "Hey, aren't you too young to be drinking?" I joked. She cracked a grin. "Sorry for the guys." She said. "Nah, it's cool. Look at them." I said. Lexa glanced at her two friends, still hitting on Lightning. "Sucks, doesn't it?" Lexa shrugged. "Not really." I sighed. "Hey, Lexa." I leaned and grinned. "Let's end this Prank War for good." Lexa turned around. "What did you have in mind?" She said, getting a mischievous smile. "This." I snapped my fingers. Not two minutes later, Xoncron and Rixec came running over. "WHAT DID YOU DO?!" Xoncron said. Lexa literally rolled off her chair, laughing. "THIS IS NOT FUNNY!" Rixec yelled, causing her to laugh harder. "Xero, you are cruel!" Lexa laughed. "Yep. And those Fred voices aren't leaving unless you both admit defeat." I said. "FINE!" Rixec said. "YOU WIN!" I grinned. "And you, Xoncron?" Xoncron glared. "Have fun with your new girlfriend, Rixec." I said. "Your voice is-" "ALRIGHT!" Xoncron said. "Fine, you two win, just-" I snapped my fingers again. "Looks like we won." Lexa said. "Yep." I replied. "Alright, everyone, ONE ROUND OF DRINKS ON ME!" The crowd cheered loudly as the night went on. Lexa After the Xero's prank, I went home. Xero had asked why I was leaving early; I'd said I was just tired. The truth is..... For the first time... I couldn't feel the music. Why? I had no idea. I just couldn't. Xero was the last person I'd wanted to know about that.... The next day, the guys got home. "So, how's that hangover?" I asked from the couch as Xoncron and Rixec entered the door. Neither said a word as they entered their respective rooms. "Don't worry about them; they just got a bit...too much last night." Sephirix walked in. "How bad was it?" I asked. "You don't want to know." He answered. "That bad?" I raised my eyebrows. "That bad." He answered. Three hours later, Xoncron came out, with no shirt on. "Holy crap, Batman!" I said as I saw all the bruises and red marks. "What the hell did you two do?!" I yelled. "Don't. Yell." Xoncron said, wincing. I shook my head. "Do you need help with those?" I asked. "I'm fine." He said. "Oh, really?" I saw Xero standing in the door. "So, how was the first night?" I asked. "Amazing." Xero said. "Oh, by the way, you, this is your bill. It includes any AND ALL property damage." Xero handed Xoncron a paper. Xoncron looked at it, then did a double take. I looked over his shoulder. "Jesus, what did you do?!" I said as I saw the massive amount. "I'm not paying." I said. "How am I supposed to pay this?!" Xoncron said. "I don't know and I don't care." Xero said. "That is your problem. You and your...'friend' had better start figuring it out." She said and walked out. I shook my head and sat back down. "Nice job, Xon. Have fun paying." I said. "What?" He said. "Are you going to help?" He asked. "Hey, as long as you and Rixec are playing Ultra-Alpha-Male-Friday-Night-Smackdown, forget about it. I'm remaining impartial." I said. Xoncron sighed. "There's no changing your mind, is there?" I shook my head. "You better tell Rixec." I said.

  18. Xero "Opening night." I sighed. It had taken hell and back (in some cases, LITERALLY) to get this place fixed up, get people hired (you WOULD NOT BELIEVE THE ANNOYANCES IN THAT), and get security...just in case. I did one last round. "One hour." I said and clapped my hands together. "Alright, staff: This is our first night, so you better all kick some massive ass!" Lexa "Lexa, this is a bad idea." Xoncron said as we walked toward the massive line in front of Xero's. "You know what's an even worse idea? Us not showing up. She'll literally kill us in our sleep if we don't go in." I said. "You know that feeling you get when you are about to enter a known haunted house-" I punched Rixec in the arm. "Will you two stop being absolute wimps?!" I scolded. "Geez, I'm four years younger than you, ya bunch of five year olds!" "Oh, I don't mind the fact that we're going in; it's the freak show that's insid-" I punched Xoncron in the arm. "Now, can either of you tell me WHERE Sephirix went?" I asked. "He said there was no way in hell he was waiting and went that way." Rixec pointed toward the front of the line. "Are you joking?!" I said. "Rixec, what kind of flowers does he like?" I asked. "Lexa, she's not going to kill him." Rixec said. "Who won't be killing who?" I turned around quickly. "WILL YOU STOP THAT?!" I said to Sephirix. "Stop what?" He asked. "Popping up behind me like an annoying pop-up!" I said. "Well, just to let you know, I've already been inside. It is insane in there." Sephirix said. "WHAT?!" we said in unison."Oh, yeah. Something about you getting free admission, Lexa." He answered. "Ah." Well, Sephirix was right: it was crazy in there. Xero had totally redone the first floor. The walls were black now, lights pulsating dim and colorful. All together, not a bad set-up. I recognized a face. "Hey, Xoncron!" I yelled over the music. "WHAT, I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER THE MUSIC?!" He yelled back. "I think that's Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII." I answered. "WHERE?!" Xoncron and Rixec said in unison. I pointed toward her on the other side of the room. The two ran off, leaving me alone. "Hey." I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around. "Hey, Xero. Nice place." I said. "Tell me about it. Come with me." She walked me to the stereo system. I saw two elegant, throne-like chairs up there. "V.I.P. seating. You get it first." She helped me on top of it. "It's amazing how these people can't see music like we can, right, Lexa?" She said and sat lazily in one of the chairs. I cautiously sat next to her. "I guess so." I said. "Ooooh!" Xero said. "Hot dude, three o'clock!" I looked in that direction. "Kadaj?!" I said. "Yep." Xero grinned. "You four just chill. I've got work to do." I watched as she led Kadaj away from the crowd. I sighed. "Alone again."
