America has an ever-growing, and astonishing, lack of privacy problem. The liberty clause seems to mean absolutely nothing these days. And it is a lot more than than just corporations asking for our Facebook passwords, or those new "smart meters," or even the Patriot Act. American's are basically giving their permission to be treated this way, and we been since 9/11. It stems from the way of thinking, "I've got nothing to hide."
It use to be that it didn't matter if you had something to hide or not, it had to be proven that you were guilty of some crime and no longer deserved the protection of privacy. Now if you don't immediately share everything, then you are guilty of something.
Bet you anything, anyone who refuses to give corporations asking this their Facebook password's won't get the job. And who can afford not to fork it over in this economy? We all need the job.
I use Facebook as an empty profile, basically.
In any case, it's not like any of your Facebook information was private in the first place. Do you know how many third parties have all that information? Or did you know that google saves all of your google searches and browser history and sells those to third parties as well? Privacy is dead.
