The cutscene where Roxas and Sora talk, how do you interpret it? I see it as Roxas saying that he tried to adapt to being Sora, but he realized that he is Sora and Sora is him--one existence. Instead of trying to change himself into being Sora, he needs to combine their beings. He brings his memories, ultimately Sora's memories, to the surface of Sora's consciousnesses. This helps bring them together. When he says, "That's why it has to be you" Roxas is saying, me being my own-self means being you. That's how I thought of it. I'm curious as to other interpretations or perhaps other things in the game that give more clarity to this scene.
