Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance is a game that, I think, is the game with the best story of all the games. It's fantastically fleshed out. The gameplay is the best of the games, considering the flow motion. Something that makes the game wonderful, is the fact that you're not only playing as Sora, but as Riku as well. That adds a whole new dimension to the game. I first encountered Kingdom Hearts at my cousins house in 2003. I was six, and thought the game's title sounded like a card game. But when I pulled the case out, and stared into the cover, I was happily mistaken! I wasn't familliar with Japanese Roleplaying Games, but I was definitely familliar with characters such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy. That was what actually drew me to the games. I've been a die hard Kingdom Hearts fan ever since. Now, 9 years later, Kingdom Hearts 3D came out. Since I'm older, I'm less about the gameplay as I am about the story. As a writer, the story is what makes something good or not. These games have an amazing story, something that draws out emotions within you that you never thought were there. I often go back and replay the games, just so I can feel the emotions of the story. Heart wrenchingly beautiful, that is what they are. The struggled between good and evil, light and darkness, is intriuging to me. I love the constant wondering whether good will prevail. With Kingdom Hearts 3D, my hope faltered, everything I knew about the characters seemed to be struck down and built back up. This story made the characters not only better, but stronger as well. I grew more emotionally connected to the characters. My heart broke for them. I felt what they felt, and that is what makes Kingdom Hearts 3D the best. By the end of the game, my heart was pounding, and I couldn't help but wait for the next game. These games are so special to me, and Kingdom Hearts 3D re-explained why they are.

Heart-break
Wrote this a few minutes ago. Though it's not Kingdom Hearts related, it was slightly inspired by the games. :] She was inspiring. She was beautiful. She was all he could ever ask for. Everything about her screamed, “Love me!” So he did. He threw himself to her and loved her more than she could ever want to be loved. He was devoted, truly devoted, to her. Until it all was swept away. One instant, one single fleeting moment, and it was all swept away, as if the ocean had swallowed up his world. Dark, it was all dark to him. Nothing lit his world. She was gone, and so was his heart. His heart ached with hurt at the loss of the woman he loved. If he could, he would go to the second before he lost her, and save her. He would be her hero. But he could not. That’s not how life worked. It never had, and never will. It was childish to think that it was at all possible. But he still sought a way. He still sought out something that would bring her back. He sat, pouring over books, hoping that, one day, he could save her. That day never came, though. It never came close. He lived for a few more years, and then lost his life to heart break. He fell into death, welcoming it, holding it close to him. He heard her voice. “Daniel,” she called out. “Wake up, my love, wake up. I’m here,” and when he did, she was there, standing over him, holding her hand out to him. “Come with me, there’s someone I want you to meet.” He thought he was dreaming a sweet dream, a dream in which he had saved his beautiful Claire. But after a moment, he knew, without a doubt, he was not dreaming. It was all too surreal, all too beautiful. “This is him,” she said, after a walk that seemed to take only seconds. “This is—” “Jesus.” Daniel fell to his knees and wept. His heart burst open in his chest, regaining its life. His heart was once again whole. He was home.

Kingdom Hearts 3
I'm forcing myself not to go out and get a 3DS just so I can play Dream Drop Distance. I'm forcing myself to not spend the money, so that I can get what I hope to be Kingdom Hearts 3... We're now going on 7 years since Kingdom Hearts 2 came out. I hope that the game comes out in the next 4 years... If it doesn't, I won't be able to play it, though I would want to... Is anyone else in the same sinking boat? Haha

How do you like the smaller selection of larger worlds in KH3D?
I thought that the amount of games was perfect, considering it's a portable game. The story flowed well, too.

Vanitas... Huh?
Oh, All right!

Vanitas... Huh?
Ah... I guess that makes sense.

Is this the worst KH?
I still have yet to finish the game. I'm still in the Agrabah world. Still... I got tired of doing practically the same thing again in the game. I mean, the story was alright. I also don't know where my DS charger is. If I had that I might play it...

Vanitas... Huh?
SPOILERS. Don't want to be a nub. I finished the game a long time ago. Back when it first came out in 2010. What I don't understand still, is why does Vanitas look, and sound, like Sora. It's lost on me. Does anyone have any ideas, or hard facts, as to why?
