Varnish

I have been interested in the KH series for just over a year now, despite the fact that I have known of the series since the year 2005. It is now probably my favourite video game series, even though I have yet to fully understand the story. Other video game series that I like to a lesser extent are Mario, Sonic, Kirby and Rayman.

I own Kingdom Hearts DDD, Re: Coded and 358/2 Days. I hope to eventually own the other titles of the series. I completed DDD and Re: Coded, but I have lost the motivation to finish Days. Even though those are the only titles I have played, I have watched the cut-scenes for the other games.

My favourite music piece is Magna-Fi's 'Who I am'. I generally do not like music very much, but that is one of a small list of exceptions. Here is a link, in case anyone who reads this is interested:

I think of it as being what most would call 'whiny, generic rock', and what I call one of the best songs I have ever heard.

I have not been interested in Sonic or Kingdom Hearts for a very long time, but in the time that I have been interested in both, my interests in them have rapidly grown.

I think that it is fair to compare Sonic to Sora. Sonic is not as childish, and Sora is not as full of himself, but they have a fairly similar level of determination when it comes to their adventures.

For some reason (probably because he is a hedgehog, like the other two), people apparently prefer to compare Shadow to Riku, which I strongly disagree with. Shadow is an almost emotionless killing machine; Riku is definitely not that. If Knuckles was slightly less stupid, gullible, and quick to anger, he would be a fair comparison to Riku.

What I will say, though, is that Shadow's themes of "Throw it all Away" and "For True Story" are quite fitting for Riku; especially the latter theme. Knuckles' themes are generally at least partially rap-based, and I only really like one of them. Regardless, they definitely do not fit Riku.

Amy is not much of a fair comparison to Kairi, really. Perhaps if Amy obsessed over Sonic less, then she would be more comparable. It has been shown more than once that she would willingly defend Sonic in a bad situation, which is almost definitely what Kairi would do for Sora if she had more courage.

Has anyone else ever noticed how similar Chaos 0 is to a Shadow Heartless?

They are both beings that clearly have no bones, they both often have a hunched-over position, they can both flatten themselves, they have similarly-coloured eyes to each other, and they are both (albeit temporarily) antagonists.

The only comic/graphic novel series that I like:

I have known the series for a while now, but finding all of the issues of the series seemed to be much too difficult, so instead I bought the entire series in a one-volume edition from Amazon. I am over half-way through it now, but I still have a while to go. The book is as thick as a dictionary!

Apart from Kingdom Hearts, the other video game series that I pay attention to are Mario, Kirby (formerly?), Sonic (obviously), Rayman (formerly?) and Pokémon. Nothing unusual, really. I did not have any interest in video games until I was seven or eight years old. Generally, the only games that I play are games that are present on Nintendo handhelds. This is the first Nintendo game that I ever owned:

I still have it; after so many years. It is definitely not the best of games, but back in the day, it was good enough for me. I doubt that I will willingly go back to it any time soon.
