remember there was a decade long gap between smt3 and 4

no chance it's dead

old smt games in general are not very good even SMT2, it's fine but it has nothing that makes it actually interesting to play it was way better when it came out because it was far more unique and polished with what it offered but now that press turn exists, most smt games before press turn feel obsolete

i skipped nearly every cutscene and dialogue in royal unless it was obviously related to the new ending yeah i prefer SMT4 much more than something like p5

becuase the style carried me through all the non-dungeon stuff

p5 is the only persona game i could actually play through

i was glad they improved the bosses, because i personally thought the original p5 bosses were very boring P5 vanilla bosses were almost entirely just damage sponges with some special animations to make it look like there is a "unique mechanic"

adhesive just gives you a way to bail yourself out if you aren't playing as efficiently

sp is a non worry without adhesives if you take advantage of everything

allows new formation options

and lets you add extra skills to party members

and the huge buff to equipment by putting skills on them further incentivizes you to use real equipment

the new baton pass + will seed mechanics + huge technical damage plays removes the need to instantly buy SP Adhesive 3

kinda like SMT4 Apocalypse

if you properly use them together you can deal thousands and thousands of damage

baton pass and technical damage are now core combat mechanics instead of being sidelined
