  1. I had an e3 sale pre order of 15 for 30 dollars off but cancelled it after I played the demo
  2. yeah thats where i thought it played, the tutorial
  3. if they needed music that wasn't the cheery DI theme, they should have written a song because that's like
  4. i thought night of fate played twice in kh3, and also in DDD might be wrong about that
  5. i think one of the biggest detractors is actually their sound designer the production of kh tracks leaves a lot to be desired, especially when compared to Face My Fears which is produced incredibly well handing that side of the track over to skrillex really shows the difference in techniques whoever they have doing the mixing and mastering of the compositions makes things often sound like they are either flat, or have a chunk of the sonic space misssing from the composition
  6. kh3 had way too many reused tracks and can get away with calling it "fanservice" instead of lazy why is night of fate being spammed in kh games now i dont get it its literally THE night of fate not "every tuesday of fate"
  7. btw on the topic of midi instruments sometimes being the right choice, this is a great example of where that can be true from another series the midi guitars being mixed with modern synths and the occasional live track gives off a really cool tone brings back the classic jrpg feel there are definitely some kh tracks that do this kind of stuff that gets taken away a bit when it's all done in one style
  8. credit to deep dive
  9. i think guardando nel buio is peak orchestral kh
  10. and then gave the area a new theme like why i mean i kinda get why
  11. they took the original theme and remixed it into a battle theme
  12. wall market theme bothers me
  13. compared to something like FF7 remake mako reactor theme which completely changed genres by going orcheestral and lost all of the flair no more unsettling panning between ears of synths instead some generic movie strings
  14. i would agree in some cases, but i dont feel that with most of kh because the soundfonts were meant to sound orchestral anyway
  15. ive been playing back since kh1 was first released
  16. having like 3 pallette swaps of every main character being their own canon extra characters is like throwing the net as wide as possible
  17. the character design covers so many bases that they dont even need to add character development to anyone and still have the characters get dedicated fans
  18. to the point where they can release multiple bad games and people don't care because the characters rae good
  19. the backbone of the entire franchise are the original characters
  20. when it was just kh1, it was 100% "fnal fantasy meets disney", the original KH characters were part of that FF vibe because they are SE characters now those characters are established as part of their own franchise though
  21. this wording has changed over time
  22. full status screen revamp is done
  23. higher recoil means less stagger when guarding or parrying, and better deflection of attacks
  24. yeah i changed crit chance, crit damage, and recoil
