I'm willing to bet 3D HD will go the FF Type-0 HD route, be released on current gen consoles to test the waters and persuade more people to jump on board.

Well also we've been waiting for a game that hasn't been in development for a very long time, its not like we're dealing with FFXV here, somthing that was actually announced a while ago.

I personally couldn't stand playing on the 3DS, so I never beat the game, it would be nice if we got an HD version for the consoles, I could see it working well on the Wii U and or PS4 with their controllers having a Touchscreen (Wii U) and a Touchpad (PS4). But to take full advantage of the the consoles power wouldn't they have to build it from the ground up? Of course I would be fine if they didn't and just did an full HD port.

Hmmm. I wonder what the "additional things" are from continuing on from 1.5.

Of course its coming to the Xbox One, all that I said is I think its a waste of time. If it helps drive sales, great.

I don't see much point in it. It just seems they would save money making it for the PS4 as that's where most of their sales would come from, its not as popular as FF and that already sells really poorly on the 360.
