  1. I learned this recently. It apparently helps them avoid spam filters or something. Rüby explained in their bot research thread after Lea told them.
  2. For the past few weeks almost always when I logged onto Steam I'd see one of my friends in an non-Steam game called Plane Simulator 2001. I recently asked him about it and he said it's actually League of Legends and he renamed the file...
  3. Ori (Ori and the Blind Forest)
  4. Welcome to KH13! Feel free to chat with me if you want!
  5. Kokonoe (BlazBlue)
  6. Celica A. Mercury (BlazBlue)
  7. Zwei (XBlaze)
  8. I haven't experienced quota... yet. And yes, adding them as friends will definitely make them trust you and want to reveal their secrets
  9. One thing I just thought of... What if a bot starts to add people to their friend lists? O_O
  10. Marie (Splatoon)
  11. Was hoping that maybe they filled out the "About Me" part and tried to seem human
  12. What did they have on their profile? Interesting though that this one had something on theirs.
  13. Maybe these bots have their ads on their profile, and they do it to make you look at their profile? That's my only guess for the profile-viewing ones and the ones that give likes.
  14. No bot shall avoid your invesigating powers!
  15. Oh ok. And yeah I'll let ya know if they return.
  16. Weedanort's obviously trying to avoid the explanation
  17. You should probably ask what it means. If it's going to be helpful in the investigation, then you should know about it since you are the investigation leader!
  18. If there were ones that did converse, I think they would just repeat their ad again And I don't know what you mean by "using proxies"...
  19. Well the bots weren't made to actually converse with people, I think
  20. No bot mystery will remain unsolved when you're the one investigating!
  21. Bots liking posts and visting people's profiles? This can mean only one thing... THE BOTS ARE EVOLVING!
  22. True... I noticed them shortly after they all visted me but they were all already banned (I believe that's what the black names mean and I can't visit their profile pages). What I wonder though is if they did anything else besides visting my profile page. Cuz if they only visited my profile page without advertising, then what would be their point?
  23. No. Never even reported a bot. I also think these bots should be aptly named "stalker bots".
  24. I think 4 bots visited my profile page for some reason a few days ago... They have the usual weird names, and no profile picture. I checked some other people's profiles that had the latest visitors thing to see if it happend to anyone else but I didn't see them. They didn't send me a message or anything but it was strange. Here's a pic:
