Idk I dont like Barret as a character. I just find him kind of dragging the team down a lot. He complains a lot. His views are fine in what they want but he is way too extreme. Its good that the original gave him a daughter cause she at least humanists him to a degree. If it were me I still wouldn't give a shit. They ain't pulling a, but he has a daughter crap with me. Just replace him with Aerith when the time comes, cause I actually care about Aerith this time.

Yeah it did help to expand Aerith as a character.
