To be fair, the extensions on the copyright expiration applies to everyone, not just Disney. And has also been adopted pretty much globally. Although yes, Disney are among the people that have lobbied for those extensions. Regardless of what one thinks is a fair number of years before copyright expires, cheering on this move in particular serves to strengthen Republicans overall favourability, and discourages Disney from speaking up against homophobic policies in the future. I'd tread very carefully on this one.
