i had a realization about this article i'm writing: 1)while i've cut back the summarizing and have been able to include more analysis, this will still end up being maybe 3 parts 2)i've realized the main audience isn't necessarily the KH fandom but newbies and ppl curious about the story. the article still has summarizing but also lore explanation, character explanation, terminology, plus analysis of events

okay i've been struggling on how to write my KH article, cuz so far it just felt like one big summary of the game with a few analysis points thrown in, i just didn't like it. so i took a step back to figure out what it is i'm trying to say about KH1 and i think i figured it out. I want to explain what is the overall point of KH1 story. the theme basically. so in this case, it would be friendships and the connections you make. going with this, i can talk about the major plot points while also discussing the theme as i go. hopefully this cuts down all the summarizing i've been doing.

okay just finished with Destiny islands i'm gonna try to get through traver town tonight and then just go ham all day tomorrow cuz that's when its due

lol like they tell us you need a gummi ship to travel in the 1st game so like, where were they really gonna end up? lol i love how riku is being all introspective and contemplating their existence on the islands and sora's only response is "i don't know"

huh okay, so this kinda makes sense, someone speculated that it could mickey just trying to connect to whoever was the chosen one through the keyblade. keyblade masters have the ability to sense the potential of another keyblade wielder so that's what mickey might have been doing. also ven's heart didn't even start waking until 3D so he couldn't have been speaking to him yet. but just b/c ven wasn't awake yet that doesn't mean his heart wasn't affecting sora's as we see with roxas and the dual wielding

I need an opinion here. i'm only writing about kh 1 and rn i'm talking about the voice that speaks to sora in dive to the heart. should i mention that it could be Ventus speaking to him or save that for whenever i talk about bbs in another article? oh mickey i missed that lol wait, how the heck would it be mickey talking to him okay yeah i found some discussions of nomura saying that in an interview but that was before bbs or ventus was probably developed. it could be mickey since he does talk to riku like that in re:com but i forget, did mickey even know that sora would be the one to get the keyblade before hand?

probably taking on my biggest project yet. i'm going to be writing an article breaking down and analyzing the story and characters of KH 1. it's going to be the 1st in a series of articles i'm going to do. hopefully i can get through all the games.

I'm excited about writing this now. 1st article will be KH 1. These will only focus on the main plot so no side quests or gameplay discussion

True, Riku is the real standout. Yeah it'd most likely be broken up per game since my word limit per article is 4k.

That's kinda the goal of the article. I know it's a running joke that kh's story is convoluted but when you actually break it down it really isn't. So the point is to show that kh's story makes sense
