It's weird, because they mentioned in the beginning of the trailer "Shiva's Dominant", then her fighting Titan, then MC and Joshua turning into Phoenix and Ifrit made me think that it was one Eikon per person, but then we see this Chad and idk...

Apparently? Though whoever else you play as (can't tell if it's timeskip or not) uses Titan and Garuda along with Phoenix

When Ifrit is killing people, they're screaming "PLEASE JOSHUA WAKE UP" so I think people definitely transform or at least have a physical connection to Eikons. And you can see Joshua healing Phoenix/MC earlier in the trailer
