1. as someone that still hasn't had the chance to catch up on the chronicles games, I'm glad this one is moving on and supposedly more standalone so i can jump right into it cause that world bending is so sick
2. i wonder if its actually a
lead up to him being an optional superboss working with deepground or some wild twist like that.
would make the overbearingness make a tiny bit more sense, with that sort of build up. but yeah it does suck that everything is through him
3. he still invokes the "oh god not you again" feelings but not in the "OH MY GOD PLEASE STOP" kind of way if that makes any sense
4. i for one find him well made. his purpose is to annoy us and be the naive idiot out in the streets but still book smart and they did that part well imo. especially with the reveal at the end of remake about him. yes he still annoys me but not in a grating way like some others from that archetype so i enjoy him comparatively lol
5. mostly prebaked vs real time was the issue between the two
6. i need them to add colors back
7. regardless though, the entire world still feels really dreary and bland kind ps3 era games
8. thinking about it some more, I'm beginning to realize sora specifically is what looks off to me about the "realistic" graphics. he just doesn't look right. everyone else shown so far looks perfectly fine in this style and still feels kh. sora was pushed too far i think
9. the lava rocks shown in it specifically lean away from Elementals and generic Fire/Water imo
10. i am never watching square enix final trailers again. haven't done it in like the last 3 years and its helped so much
11. nah you knew exactly what you were doing
12. see the fire/water clashing made me think of te fiti more, with the hit particles looking like the classic moana shape waves. they're both still plausible imo
13. even that still had more color than what we have now. the shift to realism (at least for quadratum) is making this feel very ps3 era when no one knew how to properly make vibrant colors while still being a bit realistic
14. exactly how I'm feeling. the buildup for the story is super exciting but we can only get so excited about that especially with so little new information to theorize off of. that and the... bleak lighting and colors just feel very meh imo
15. the command menu that is shown with it is pretty convincing. the blade alone could be other things, but the menu and the little stars that fly off keyblade hits are def moana
16. this is how I'm feeling too. ofc i was super happy to finally get a new trailer, but quadratum a third time was underwhelming after the initial excitement wore off
17. latest trailer, new keyblade is shown off and has heavy lava+water vibes
18. he is VERY happy to be out of that exclusivity stuff lmao
19. he's basically screaming "fuck you sony"
20. https://vxtwitter.com/nhamaguc/status/2065237125872947651?s=20
21. remember that time moves differently for every world too. it could have been a year for the gang and for Sora he could have immediately spawned there and only been a few days like strel said in the first trailer
22. Josh finishes drilling the fourth wall of the treehouse "Sora. Where's the door?" "It's right there, I drew it on" "You were supposed to cut it out with the power saw"
23. 🥛
24. the only games i dont do that for are rhythm games
25. moonlight to my phone is a way better portable option for me lmao
