ah, the newer remakes do a different take and have "classic" toggles in options rather than bundling the entire same game

i guess it isn't as common in newer remakes

i think a lot of the gba ports/remakes ended up doing it but i can't remember any others atm

zero mission is a recent one that i finished that comes to mind

it always surprises me when a remake unlocks the original after beating it. like yeah I'm definitely in the mood to play the clunkier less refined version immediately after getting through the(usually) better remake

character interaction and development boutta go insane

i will never forgive them for giving us that ishimoto slop for the finale

on the flip side, as an avid rhythm gamer, I hate that he made them do that because that also meant that they had to reduce the difficulty for players who weren't used to rhythm games
