Kind of similar towards my stance with them for their laptops

Yeah, Propaganda Games was originally Touchstone games, which is a subsidiary of Disney interactive. They were planning to do Turok 2 but got shutdown before it could happen

Games/Films/TV Chat
They killed Propaganda games too with projects like Turok attached

Wii U was just an odd duck, like when it released its run didn't even last that long

I mean GameCube had some demanding exclusives at the time, basically that era was basically the holy trinity of video games, you had Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft in the market

Switch is great, affordable and offers its own variety

It kinda blows too, Xbox 1 has a strong even footing with ps4 in its infant years, but now it's shifted to Switch

Yeah like Sega is still releasing stuff for ps4 and Switch, let alone they are bringing over pso2 on ps4 next month, even though Microsoft did acquire them for a while now like 2-3 years

I mean it could be like how when Microsoft bought and partnered up with Sega, but it didn't overall affect Sega's business practices and vendors with 3rd party consumers. So I don't think Sony will have total free reign over Square besides have them get releases first

The scary part is they make it sound like it is, especially if it's just a certain topic.

I had that rough in the past decade, like I couldn't go through a straight convo and be opinionmatic with certain topics where it turns into a straight up witch hunt🤦 where everyone practically points the finger and say no your wrong or your crazy. There was practically no middle ground or agreements

Yeah totally understandable

Yeah I really didn't think he meant to make it sound rude, yeah maybe wording could be a alittle better and not misunderstood 😂

No I totally understand, that's how I feel towards certain series I used to like they change the characters, personalities, thematics etc. that don't match what made me love about it the whole run. But at the sametime I want to do my best not to shed too much negative light on fans for the newer changes either and in turn I expect that same in return from them

The thing is if they decide to do a mainline FF that's turn based in the future, they know exactly what they are doing and know how to make it engaging, there really is no reason to stress it out over if they make it action here or turn based there for certain titles.

While I genuinely understand for people who have played turn based games all their life to be upset, that's understandable we're only human, but also think it's genuinely WRONG that some push it to the point where it turns into unnecessary tribal war also.

I have no issue with this personally, I actually think it's kind of clever of them to try out new approaches. And as you said turn based hasn't completely died out, as far as I can tell with whatever approach they choose to do, they know what they are doing, they know how to innovate.

Secret of Mana has that feel too

Based on the mythical island/city

Dot hack games felt like a perfect mix of both, though IMOQ feels very close to that experience
-
Games/Films/TV Chat
Right I think the idea of both styles to coexist is good, but then you got this one crowd that talks smack saying no everything should be turn based or no everything should action, like why?

The upcoming one piece odyssey is using turn based too

Right current pokemon games are proof of this

Yeah personally I think the concept of turn based vs. action based seems pretty dumb, it can work both ways. FF 13 trilogy and FF14 still use turn based combat but in a much more engaging way where it didn't feel like simply input commands and simply taking turns and wait too long. Ni No Kuni Wrath of the White Witch did a fantastic job at this too. Now if there is one thing that bugs me is the superiority complex from both parties and honestly it shouldn't be that way

I mean if 16 was going to be turn based it would have been something like an offline singleplayer version of FF14, just like how FF12 was a basically an offline singleplayer version of FF11
