So that theory going around where Sora has amnesia in this game has a lot of weight since he doesn’t recognise Donald and Goofy, or Riku in a way where he’s surprised and happy to see them in the trailer as you would expect him to. Technically this would be Sora’s first rodeo with amnesia since in Chain of Memories, he was actively getting his memories replaced rather than losing it entirely. In KH4’s case, losing his memories entirely would be a turning point for his character because would he still be the Sora we know and love? Or will he be a new version of Sora where we will see layers of his personality that we haven’t seen before because when he was getting his memories replaced in CoM it brought out a more irritable side of him. This would also be in line with Nomura’s comment in making KH4 accessible to newcomers because it puts them into a fresh perspective like Sora will have in KH4. Meanwhile us old heads know everything that’s going on lol

I hate when people do this… "I only played 1 and 2, skipped all the side games then played 3 and hated it" BRO THAT'S YOUR FAULT. People bring out the convoluted argument because they aren't willing to put in the effort for an ongoing story. It's not an anthology, it's not a series where you can cherry pick. As long time JRPG player and by extension longtime FF player. How FF8 works feels counterintuitive, as if it works against itself therefore the player. Like what do you mean I can’t level or else the enemies scale? What do you mean using equippable magic will lower my stats the more I use it? Maybe I might give it a 3rd chance but I’m probably just gonna have the battle boosters permanently on and just play it for the story (remastered version exclusive feature).

I’m hoping for hard reboot after his retirement. I don’t trust anyone else to take over the ongoing plot upon his retirement, that’s his masterpiece and his alone.

We’ve only just started the new arc, Nomura did say he’s almost retiring so he has the ending of the series in mind.

Yeah it’s a lot, def not the only series to do this. I know a few (Trails being one of them). However to get KH, release order has always been the key.

So I had a thought, if Octopath 0 and that upcoming Final Fantasy Resonance are both games meant to be their retired mobile gatcha games come back to life in a full single player RPG format. That means [i]Kingdom Hearts Union X and Dark Road can return[/i].

Rn I’m going through Trails, it’s kept me extremely busy enough that’s for sure…

Man it really has been four years since the announcement… The wait for Kingdom Hearts 4 is painful, it always will be. However this is why I can’t stress enough the importance of having more than 1 favorite franchise. Let those eyes wonder, play more games! It’ll do you some good ☺️
