And that's Xenoblade Chronicles 3 (and it's DLC Future Redeemed) completed to my liking after 200 hours (not kidding). This... unfortunately... is a repeat of Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive for me. I didn't like the main game (but liked it more than Xenoblade 1 honestly) but LOVED*** the DLC. The story is good don't get me wrong and has it's moments. But, for me at least, it takes *WAY* too long for it to 'become good' and is too slow in to many areas. Was I just being slow? Sure maybe (see above) but there are 7 chapters. It takes them until chapter 5 to explain everything. Yeah. They also contradict themselves quite a bit story wise. Not to mention... gameplay wise. There are too many mechanics. There are. Monolithsoft let us, ***FOR TWO DAMN GAMES***, over-level. Now you have a problem with it? ***NOW?! REALLY?!*** Okay. Sure thing. I guess there were whiny complaints about this. That's what it seems to me at least. The class system. I'm not saying it's bad to use... it's how they used it in this game and I struggled during certain situations and unnecessarily because of it. Too many to keep track of... but just the right amount, *AND BEING ALLOWED TO OVER-LEVEL, in the DLC. Just makes me feel like they (Monolithsoft) fell into the contradictory hypocrites trap. Looks it's a good game, it is and was. Just... felt like it took too long to 'become good' and it didn't really 'keep me invested'. Xenoblade 2's story kept getting better and better. For me. idk... just felt like a too many mechanical mess for me in the main game and much better in the DLC with the story not really keeping me invested overall until things were explained (which took too long) and then slow... and then good again during the endgame. Much better in the DLC again though. But just me okay? I can't do this shit without it being a text wall clearly I'm sorry. Personal score: 8.0/10.
