OH MY GOSH WAS THIS SO EXCITING TO PARTICIPATE IN!! YES ALL CAPS! I'm getting all giddy again thinking about everything kh! I can't believe it's almost the 15th year mark for Kingdom Hearts!!! Yay!!! I remember the first time I ever saw Kingdom Hearts was by the trailer for the first game. What actually caught my attention was the song playing in the trailer. Any guesses what song? That's right Utada's 'Simple and Clean'! It was so beautiful that I literally stopped what I was doing and whipped my head to the t.v. and what did I find? Flashing images of a game a cute boy with Disney characters, meeting Disney characters in Disney character worlds! Oh my gosh and the cute boy?! I literally zoned everything out for that 30 second commercial. That day I literally felt something in my heart stir. I can still feel and remember the sensation of my heart aching for this fantastic thing that gave off such heart, warmth, passion, light, hope of good. I think I actually teared a bit because I felt I would never have the chance to see it again. I didn't even get the name but I knew it had Disney characters. It wasn't until two years later that I received a ps2 and the first thing I did was go and get the game. When I finally had it in my hands all those emotions resurfaced and knew I was going to never let it go. I have since then played the game and the second one about 8 times each and never get tired of it. Everything I hoped it to be, ohhh, it was so much more.... my kh2 guide is actually falling apart. I believe half the weight is tape holding it all together from the use. The other reason being it probably wasn't a sturdy binding it needed for all those pages. I have collected, what i think i'm sure compared to others, a decent amount of kh items. Everywhere I go I'm always on the look out for kh merchandise. I even have a full packet of kh magazine snippets!!! OH you can see some cut out that I got from some fruit snacks! I forgot to put the Roxas one up. I could have had Namine one. I don't throw anything away with kh's name on it! I don't know if you can see it in pics. Kingdom Hearts has made it's points and meanings of light and darkness relate able to my own heart/soul and mind. Kingdom Hearts is exactly how I see what's always happening inside us. Inner fighting of the soul until we can salvage the light in us. I hope I can add kh2.8 to my collection and memories. Yes! I did indeed make the cut out for this contest and oh-my-gosh.... it took me so much longer that I expected. One I just happen to be a slow worker but that took me two days to do! I am definitely happy with the end result, sighhhh, if only I could go there... (may my green color pencil rest in peace) I'm so happy I made my main entries in time. I was afraid, even if I knew about the contest by it's second day, because since then my life has been so busy! I finally had the chance to work on them this week! I feel that happens every time I want to enter a contest. My inspiration behind my 'Ray of Hope' is from the way Sora's heart works. He believes in his friends who believe in him giving him the power and hope to accomplish anything. For my 'One sky' I just love how Mr. Nomura has based almost everything entirely around Sora and his name 'sky'. The art work, name, settings, everything he has set behind this word evokes light, hope, faith, the list could go on and on. And it has become a name that means a lot to me. Oh and I chose to put Namine because I'm not a fan of Xion, just my personal reference (but love her song and when she dies it's still so sad, but for Roxas) I also distinguished from the time of Roxas, Axel, and Xion's time in the organization by giving these three their own sitting place. They are sitting right in front of the train station in Twilight Town, I think that view is just gorgeous. You know, now that I think about it alot happens there with Sora, Roxas, and even Xion when she dies there.
