Tokyo Game Show 2010, the major gaming event in Japan of this year, has begun. Located in, of course, Tokyo, the event runs for four days and will feature upcoming games. Both Kingdom Hearts Re:coded and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix will be shown.

Birth by Sleep Final Mix, announced only yesterday, will be an update of the original Birth by Sleep with extra features. From Sony's Press Conference at the event, and also Square Enix's newly opened official website, we now know that the release date for the game is January 2011.

In addition to this, a trailer was shown. HEARTSTATION.ORG have stated that Final Mix will contain new cutscenes, bosses, and a "Secret Episode revealing secrets of the series". Also, in the Mirage Arena, Monstro will be available as a world, and Master Eraqus will be able to be fought in his armor. Photos of this can be seen below, in our gallery.

As for Re:coded, a trailer and demo were also shown. From this, the most significant detail is that the game will contain some new cutscenes, in particular a scene with King Mickey in Yen Sid's Tower. Seen below, a summary of the game's demo can be read.

The Re:Coded demo starts with Alice and Sora in a fight with the Queen of Hearts. In order to prove Alice

haha I knew it more Mirage Arenas and exposition, I bet a fiver it'll be two UMDs

A secret episode you say? That will be interesting to see, i'm glad i've chosen to import Final Mix in that case, sounds like its got enough new content to make it worthwhile.

Yeah, i'd imagine it's going to. The English release had already clogged the UMD enough as is.
New cutscenes in ReCoded too, wow. I think I'll buy my own DS for that, I didnt quite get my fill of Donald and Goofy in BBS plus Mickey deserved more screentime and in my opinion he should've had a storyline to playthrough too.

Watching the 1 min 30 seconds video got me really aggravated 'cause whoever filmed the video didn't lift up the camera high enough to show the whole screen. -_- I was like "DUDE! LIFT IT UP!" Anyways...I'm banking on Re:Coded being good, 'cause the only KH game that didn't do so great was CoM/Re:CoM, and that was only because they chose to implement the card battle system.

Awesome <3

I cannot WAIT now 8D

I have to get a 3DS for Codeeeeeeeed~

...? But you don't need a 3DS for Re:Coded...or do you not have a DS?

Hey DC, why did you remove your videos? Did you get higher quality ones ? Are you replacing these with them?

When I realised that Square were removing videos from TGS, I wanted them off my account. Forgot I had embedded them in news, I will replace them now.

EDIT: Well, looks like I was right to take the safe option and delete them from my DChiuch account. Square have removed the ones that HEARTSTATION originally uploaded, so I can't get them anymore. Sorry.

No DS--and I'll need a 3DS for 3D, so I might as well just buy one instead of two.
