"It has to be built. And, if the materials weren't here, then I don't think then the book would have been in that library. So they have to be around here somewhere." Aaron said, affirmatively answering her question.

Surely, finding the parts may take time, but if they could get off of this puny world. It's worth it.

He flipped through the pages of the book again, and found loose scrap of paper in the back.

"Aaron, Astra, Alexis, I know you're reading this.

You don't know me, in fact, I'm not even sure that I know you... but I've done what my heart commands.

You all have wanted to explore new worlds for a long time now, I knew this, so it was you who I chose to grant with this gift.

You know about Gummi ships now, and the abilities they possess, but right now, you lack the resources to create one.

I have hidden all the materials neccessary within the very mansion you found this book in. I trust that you will use them to their intended purpose, and obey the rules of intergalactic travel.

Good luck to you all, and Godspeed.

Ansem the Wise

(I get a freebie since I'm the only one following the rules >_<)

Astra took the book from Aaron's hands and read the page.

"Ansem? How'd he know our names?", she asked. She read it over and decided that they should go back to the library.

"Guys. If we're going to get out of here, I suggest we start looking as soon as possible. From what I can tell, finding these things could take a pretty long time."

Astra closed the book and looked at it. She smiled and let out a tiny laugh.

"Finally."

Alexis jumped up, leaning over Astra and Aaron so she could see the book. "Hey!" She exclaimed. "I see my name! Yours too! That's so-so awesome! So we're going to build a space ship or something? And go all over the place!?" She plucked the book from Astra's grip. "C'mon--we have to go back to that old mansion place!" Alexis grinned, and started towards the stairs.

"Did I hear someone say 'last one there buys ice cream next time!'?"

Alexis' voice could be heard echoing through the staircase. But Aaron didn't follow it... he instead turned to look behind him.

Astra stood there, and Aaron realized something that had never before occured to him.

She was beautiful.

He tried to shake that brief infatuation off, but something about her was captivating. He couldn't take his eyes away...

Were their other forces at work? Aaron felt no different... No, it was all him right now.

But... he felt something else inside him, not a possesor, but an emotion. A sharp tingling feeling, sending a shiver up his spine, and a blush to his face.

He managed to turn away... but not before he let a very faint smirk sneak onto his face. He started to walk down the stairwell, still deep in thought over what just happened.

Astra walked down the staircase, her hand hovering over the rail, in case he lost her balance for a slight moment. Her blue eyes were locked on the floor, watching where she was going. However, her gaze shot up to Aaron when he saw a tiny smile form over his lips. This was rare in Aaron's case so she descended a little quicker to catch up to him. When she reached the same step as him, she looked at his face, smirk still plastered there.

She smiled. It was nice to see him happy. The smile really suited him.

Astra couldn't help but let out a small laugh as she asked. "What are you looking at?"

"Hurry up!" Alexis whined, further down the staircase. "Does the idea of free ice cream not excite you?" She sighed, but then smiled. She knew that she was far enough ahead down the winding staircase that her friends could hear the grin in her voice, even if they couldn't see her. "Or are you afraid that I'm going to win?"

Alexis glanced back down the stair case. If they started to run, she could just slide down the railing and beat them there. Easy as that.

Plus, she spent her money as soon as she got it. She couldn't miss getting the next Glee CD because she'd lost a race.

Aaron chuckled... deciding to say something within a context he had never before dared to tread.

"Something beautiful..." and with that, he grabbed hold of the stairs railing, hopped on, and slid down, zooming past both Astra, and Alexis. Becoming the first to reach the bottom, and the last to buy ice cream.

He looked at the book in his hands, and he was rejuvenated with a childish hope. A hope that everything will run smoothly...

(Sorry for the pitfully suckish post. I just whipped it up so we can move this shiz along.

"Huh?"

Astra's eyebrows furrowed as she cocked her head to the side. She remembered Alexis' challenge and she gasped. "Oh man! No way am I buying!"

She slid down the rail opposite of the one Aaron slid on. As Astra flew by Alexis, she stuck her two fingers in a salute to her and flashed a smile. "See ya!", she laughed. Astra reached the bottom and looked at Aaron. She rolled her eyes and laughed once, returning her gaze to Alexis.

"Hey! Planning on getting down here anytime this week?" Astra teased.

Alexis clenched her fists. "You cheated!" She yelled, panting, as she reached the bottom of the staircase. She grinned, and pushed past them. "You cheated, so you have to buy anyway!" She sang, running a little slower so they kept up.

She'd kind of forgotten how to get there, anyway. Alexis was excited, but kind of afraid at the same time. Sure, getting off this world sounded exciting, but what if it was crazy, too? Would they get killed? As far as she knew, no one had before. So did that mean others had tried, and failed? She paused for a second, waiting for Aaron and Astra to catch up.

"Hey, do you think this is going to work? What if it blows up in our faces?"

Aaron, for some reason, couldn't see it NOT working... there was just something instinctual.

"Naw, Lexi, it'll' work." He said, walking up to her and patting her on the head, (she was quite short.), it will work.

He crouched down and walked through the hole in the wall, going into the forest. The mansion was just ahead...

He turned to look behind him... tapping his foot, crossing his arms, and calling out: "What's the hold-up, slow pokes?"

Aaron was acting casual now... but there was a lot bugging him. Where had that little event with Astra come from?

What gave him this ghostly reasurance that things were sure-fire for success?

Astra raised an eyebrow as she lifted a twig from her shoulder and extracted the leaves tangled in her hair.

She looked at Aaron and smiled a bit. "Girls can't navigate through the forest like the outdoorsman we call guys."

Astra dusted herself off a bit as she walked towards her friend. She looked up at the mansion.

She put on a concerned and thoughtful face. "Aaron...you better be right about this...You know how much this means to us."

"Well, 'scuse me," Alexis muttered under her breath, and added, louder. "I'm not THAT slow. There are just all of these stupid branches in my face, and they're stupidly slowing me down." She shrugged, and then grinned. "At least I'm faster than you, Astra!"

She ducked through the hole a step ahead of Astra, following Aaron. "C'mon! If we hurry up, we could make it by tonight or tomorrow!" Alexis exclaimed.

Aaron had made it to the mansion, and he now leaned against the cold metal gate, waiting for the others to show up.

"Aaron..." said a fell voice, carried through the air. It sent a shiver down Aarons spine.

"Kusatte..."

"You still have much to learn, before you leave Aaron..."

"Just stay away from me... I can't be bothered now."

With that, the voice faded away, and Aaron was put to rest...

(Lulz we were with you already )

Astra grabbed Alexis' wrist and helped her walk towards the gate. She noticed a wierd look in Aarons eyes but quickly shook it off. She turned to Alexis and smiled. "This is gonna be some adventure huh? Makes me kinda scared but it'll be all worth it once we get outta here, right?"

Astra laughed. She noticed her unfairness to Twilight Town. But then she remembered something crucial that she loved about it. "But there is something good to it y'know. Something that I love this place for. It's because I met you and Aaron. My two best friends."

/failpost

Alexis' first response was to yank her wrist away. "Sheesh, Astra, I can WALK. I'm not that pathetic." She rolled her eyes. "My two best friends." Alexis repeated Astra's line. "Well," She admitted. "That's a plus. But everything else about this place.. except for you guys.. I mean, man, it just seems like you can't amount to anything here. What is there to become? But.. maybe on some other world.." Alexis' eyes shined. She shook her head. It'd be hard to find a perfect world, though. So why not just bounce around and see the world.. worlds?

Aaron really didn't pay much attention to either of them, and instead walked on, brushing past them. Upon getting to his desired distance, he spoke:

"Could you guys move out of the way?"

Aaron then swung both of his hands downward, his palms meeting in a stinging clap. And as he seperated those hands, a light began to shine between each palm, and the light evolved into a blade like shaped, which Aaron took into his right hand, and grasped tightly by the handle. Details started to emerge from the blinding light, and soon, it was shown to the others that Aaron was now wielding a glorious keyblade.

Astra's breath was caught in her throat. Although her expression didn't change, she was amazed by that object. Now, Aaron had a power that neither Alexis nor herself had. Her stare wandered and she began to stare and admire the beautiful key. The more she looked at it, the more she felt that this wasn't an ordinary key. It had much more power than opening doors.

Alexis's eyes widened in surprise. Aaron clapped, and suddenly there was a big freaking key. If only her house key were that epic. She stared at it for a moment, not exactly sure of what to say. It glimmered in the sunlight managing to break through the tree canopy. Astra seemed at a loss for words, too, but her face didn't show it. "What the fudgecicles IS that thing?" Alexis finally murmered, eyes still bulging. "I want one, too! Where'd you get it!?"

The Key led itself into motion, swinging upwards towards the lock on the gates, summoning an energy, then firing off that same energy into the center of the keyhole. A subtle "click" could be heard, and the gates swung open.

The Key faded away, and Aaron turned to Alexis:

"I'm not even entirely sure where I got it, Lexi."

Astra couldn't help but smile. This was too unreal...too cool...

She felt a feeling of joy come across her as she stepped through the gates. Astra grabbed her friends' wrists and pulled them along too.

"Trippy." She commented, still smiling wide.

"That doesn't sound very fair.." Alexis muttered under her breath. Pfft, she wanted an epic toy key too--it'd be fun to bang on her brothers' heads. Astra suddenly yanked her and Aaron towards the mansion. Alexis giggled. "Astra, my mom still says 'trippy'." Alexis was getting a little excited. Well, "little" didn't describe Alexis very well--everything she did was as hugely dramatic as ever, and she wanted the whole world--'well', she guessed, 'worlds'--to know. Of course, she needed to shut up and sit down once in a while. Well, that's what her kindergarten teacher had told her, anyway. She wriggled her wrist out of Astra's grip. "C'mon!"
