Drive forms and keyblade transformation

Posted

Hello KH13 I just remembered something of the small yet big big news of drive forms returning, and keyblade transformation. How will they work if they are both used as seen when Sora use power form? My best guess is A) Nothing will change fighting wise or B) Drive forms will react differently when using a transformation.

Tell me what you guys think, all open years.

I think the transformations will stay the same. Otherwise each drive form with each transformation may end up with its own reaction, think about how many different combinations there could end up being xD. I think they shouldn't affect each other

It really depends on whether they're going to bring back the Synch Blade mechanic or not. If for story or gameplay purposes they don't want Sora to wield two Keyblades again, they might just replace that with the Keyblade Transformation mechanic, thus the Transformations are the new gimmick with each Drive Form, with each form getting it's own unique Transformation that's only available in that form. That's just my guess though, and I'm still hoping that they'll bring back the Synch Blade ability, I love dual-wielding Keyblades, especially if there's the chance to have two OP Transformations at once.

Well, we saw in trailers that Sora can use Keybalde Transformation outside of Drive Forms, so I think it's actually the reverse, the Transformation determines the form.

I really don't see Synch Blade returning, because then they'd have to code 2 Keyblade Transformations at once, because it was stated early on that each keychain will have its own set. Then throw Drive Forms on top of that and it's a lot going on, and if Form is determined by Transformation, then they'll have trouble determining which form Sora is supposed to into.

What I meant was that he would have to turn into certain forms to obtain certain Transformations, like how you only got the growth abilities from the forms in KH2 before you leveled them up enough to unlock them for your standard form. It could go either way since they aren't telling us anything yet, but I'm still holding on for the hope that there might still be some amount of Synch Blade in the game, even if it means just getting control of Roxas as a playable character, which would also be a great thing on it's own, having multiple characters to play as. I guess we'll have to wait and see. I'm still hoping.
