Okay, so re-watching Ventus' cutscenes, I think I caught Vanitas contradicting himself. At Destiny Islands, Vanitas tells Ven to join with him "right [there] and now" to form the X-blade. Then Ven has his flashback to training with XH and Vanitas getting made, and once the flashback is over, Vanitas says "meet me in the one place the X-blade can be forged." Contradiction, much? Or am I just over-analyzing what he said and missing something?

 

It's probably because the fact that Ven refused to fight and then Vanitas had to threaten Ven that he would see Terra and Aqua for the last time

Well I thought he said that because Ven refused to fight him. So Vanitas tells him to meet him at the Keyblade Graveyard because he knows Terra and Aqua will be there...so he's pretty much using Terra and Aqua as incentive for them to fight.

i think it was just to get ven there cuz MX was going there

and the choking the life part would make ven go

I considered that, but it still didn't explain to me why suddenly the KG is the "only" place to do it lol

Probably because that the Keyblade Graveyard is where the X-Blade is supposed to be made

Well, the Keyblade Graveyard was where the Keyblade War was fought, so it would be fitting for the X-Blade to be forged there. However, I think he said that because he knew Ven wouldn't fight him willingly, so he planned to make Terra and Aqua suffer to the point that Ven will fight Vanitas in his anger.

i think ur over analyzing it. like one of the people before said ventus refused and then he threatened

It's probably the place it's intended to be made, but it could be made anywhere.
