What's your opinion on America? Well, to be more specific what's your opinion on American people, politics, and culture?(Don't base your opinions solely on the users of this site, since they are obviously a hell of a lot better people than most Americans)

Me being the silly Canadian that I am, I...... really don't have a problem with America.

They are often stereotyped as overweight, violent, and arrogant, and I know that is not true mostly. I have met several American people, and most of them were very nice to me.

What annoys me are the Americans that believe that their country is the pinicle of living, and everyone else can rot in the dirt. I have encountered people that say stuff like 'america is the best country ever. we have given the world everything important that it has, like the internet and the telephone! what has canada done'

So apparantly, the telephone is an American invention. The more you know.

Anyway, I know this goes to both sides, with people in my country stereotyping and hating Americans, and that's equally wrong. It's just something that annoys me.

And there's my opinion.

Perfect post.

Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn's early lighhhhht--

/shot.

I was always under the impression that everyone hated Americans 'cause we're fat and lazy and we stick our noses were they're not welcomed lol. We always try to be the peace makers, but it's hypocritical of us because we're quick to load our guns at the first sign of a threat. America has it's faults, I just think we don't hide them as well as other countries, or at least, we don't want/try to.

But yeah, I agree that about 99.9% of Americans are ... poor at prioritizing, I guess? We're oblivious to what's happening elsewhere in the world. And we jump too quickly into things we don't fully understand.

I remember me and Jen once had a substitute from Britain and he... was so offending, lol xD. He kept going on about how our illusion of living and achieving the 'American Dream' was all utter crap yadayadayada.

Still, I'm very grateful to live here, even if the majority of us are idiots. It IS the land of the free, and all that jazz. C'mon, can't blame me for having a smidgen of patriotism xD.

I'm still tailing it out of here when I turn eighteen, though. United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland here I come, baby 8D !!!

Don't leave America right away. There are so many things in America that you can't do in Britain because they are socialist and we are capitalist (mostly). Spend some time in America first, if you don't like it feel free to move. You haven't experienced a country until you have all the rights that they provide and as a minor you don't have all those rights.

Honestly, i have too little knowledge of canada to disrespect them. yet i, an american citizen, probably hate this country the most.

Read up on the history of other countries and look at how they are in the world right now. Then you will be raising the flag everytime you get.

Trust me, if America wasn't one of the best places live, we wouldn't have an illegal immigration problem.

Maybe it's because you're right on the Mexican boarder, and going South really doesn't fix their problem.

Like at least 75% of the US is over-judgemental and just rude from what I've had to live with at school... For example: Someone is seems even a little different/doesn't know them. Someone else's reaction -THERE awesome!- Its just sad... (not saying everyone's like that but I know a few like that)

I wasn't just referring to Mexico. I'm also talking about the thousands of people who come here legally each year but decide to stay longer then they are supposed to.

I hate America, because of the economy, because of the racism, because of the amount of heartlessness, because of the millions of people without a job, because of peoples greed for money, because of EVERYTHING.

If I stay in America, the future I have planned for will be jeopardized. As soon as I turn 18, I'm moving to either Canada or Guatemala.

Do live in like New York or something cause here in Florida if anyone is racist me and my friends will be on their @$$ like flies on dogshit. People are a bit greedy but really no one is COMPLETLY heartless where i live. There a couple asswipes though.

ANYWAYS

In america o think our economy is down A LOT. Especially with the oil spill in the gulf effecting where i live in FL.

yay!!! another floridian!! so i know you, me, and reikon live in florida..

but america is kinda goind down the drain right now..it sucks

Am I the only American that still really likes America? Probably. Although America has it's faults, there's still some good people here. And face it, EVERY country has at least some faults.

There are so many different people here (melting pot and whatever) that you get good people and bad people, nice people and rude people. So, yeah.

And yes, the economy sucks.
