As you likely heard, the terrorism threat has been increasing in Europe and the US has issued a travel advisory because of it.

 

And I just read a report saying it's very likely that the terrorists have already scoped out targets and could strike pretty soon. Any European members, be vigilant.

 

I can only hope that any attempts can be foiled in time, and that none of them are in any way nuclear. I do know, however, that there would be strong reaction to any kind of terrorist attack in Europe.

 

It's important we keep aware of the situation, as if any kind of attack in Europe ends up a success, they might try another attack in the United States.

That really is bad, but I don't think that they're dumb enough to actually strike. There are already enough people after them--why raise that number? Of course, it is impossible difficult to catch them, but nonetheless.

 

Security has been stepped up drastically since 9/11 in the U.S. I don't know about other countries, but I'm assuming they're at least being a little bit more cautious.

 

Also, as horrible as the results were, the people on the planes that were trying to destroy U.S. targets fought back against the terrorists. I'm not doubting that the people in Europe would be fighting back, too.

 

I sincerely hope it doesn't happen, but for everyone in Europe, I'll be praying for you. <3

Paris is most at risk. There's the anti-Islamic stuff going on in France, and there's the two false alarm bomb scares at the Eiffel Tower recently. Seeing as how technically they're our biggest ally, we would have huge support for them in the event of such an attack taking place. Plus, it's the biggest city in Europe that hasn't had a terrorist attack. It's a major risk area.

 

We could very well see a headline soon saying "TERRORIST ATTACK IN FRANCE". I completely hope that won't happen, but I have to realize it's very possible right now.

 

 

And this is probably linked to the Israel-Palestine drama. I wish we could just end this crap and have Israel move to Hawaii or something like that, then give Palestine back their land.

Europe contains several rather major countries. Russia (part of it, at least), France, UK, etc. London, Madrid, and Moscow have all been attacked in recent years, so terrorism in Europe isn't new.

As rho pointed out, America isn't the only major country in the world. Other countries can fight back, too, even smaller ones, as proved by America's loss in the Vietnamese war. They also have a lot of significance in the world. America's like the modern-day Rome. They were plenty of other memorable and powerful countries at the time, not just Rome.

An attack on the scale of 9/11 is unlikely. The terrorist lack the supplies, man power, and coordination to ever be able to do something like that again. However a terrorist attack is still deadly and must be dealt with.

 

Russian trains were hit a few months ago and the subway and bus bombings happened in England a few years ago. I have a strange feeling the next targets will either be Germany or France. I could be wrong and I hope I'm wrong.

You are correct, France is definitely at the biggest risk right now. I mentioned Germany because America has a large influence on Germany. Keep in mind that there was a very large American military presence in West Berlin and West Germany in the event the Cold War escalated to World War Three.

 

But like I said you are right, France is especially in danger, especially Paris. If any of you live in franc stay alert when you take the bus, subway, or if your near a tourist attraction such as the Eiffel Tower.

i think theres a threat of terrorism for every country, not just europe. it's them wanting to kill most people, not particularly europeans.

i don't think the world will end, but that would be an easy time for terrorists to launch a massive attack
