Hey guys! This is going to be the longest story I am ever going to write. It takes place right after KH2, when Sora and the gang are back at Destiny Islands. To further understand certain elements of this story, please read these two stories: Mystery and The Luna Diviner, Flurry of Dancing Flames

Introduction

 

I wanted to tell you immediately.

There are memories asleep inside you.

Those memory fragments connect to the future.

Sora, Riku, Kairi,

the truth surrounding the Keyblade,

passes through numerous connections,

which are inside your hearts.

Sora,

it all leads to you, and everyone is waiting for you.

The only one who can heal their sadness is you.

It's possible that the travels up until now,

compared to the next trip, may have been easy.

Everything thought to be accidental was really connected,

and the door to a new departure already seems to be opening.

Sora, Riku, and Kairi look at each other after finishing the letter. "What do you guys think this means?", Sora says. "I'm not sure", Riku replies. Kairi leaps off the tree branch the trio is sitting on, and runs towards the treehouse. Sora and Riku exchange glances and shrug, then look back at the letter. "I'm guessing we have to go on another journey, Sora", Riku sighs as he stares into the sunset. Sora looks down at his feet, and starts kicking them. "Well, at least we will all be together this time". Sora looks down at Riku, and both of them grin. Suddenly, Kairi comes running back to them. Sora jumps off of the branch. "Kairi...I have to go again. There are people I need to save, and I'm the only person who can save them." He holds a pained expression on his face. Kairi just grins, and grabs his hands, and places a Charm into his palms. "Hurry back." All of a sudden, Sora disappears. He finds himself traveling in darkness, unable to see where he is heading. After a few moments of a flying sensation, Sora finds himself on a completely new world. Skyscrapers are scattered all across the area where he is standing, each of them glowing in the night sky.

 

"It can't be", Sora breathes. He looks up into the sky and sees a pale yellow moon. No. This is impossible! He averts his eyes from the moon, to a castle that seems to be floating in the sky. This place was destroyed! Who could have rebuilt it? Before he could observe the world any longer, a man in a black cloak emerges from the shadows, hunched over.. His face is covered by a hood, and he is holding a long, black spiky keyblade. "Ah. Vanitas, I see you have returned." The man pulls off his hood to reveal his face. He was an old man, bald, with a silver goatee and golden eyes. The man creeps closer to Sora to get a good look at him. "On second thought, you are not Vanitas. But you bear a strong resemblance to him. Why is this? State your name boy." Sora, surprised by this mans sudden appearance, states his name. "Sora. Sora is my name sir. This charm led me here." Sora holds up the charm Kairi gave him. The old man squints at the charm. "So, I see you are an ally of the Keyblade Master Aqua. In that case...". The man swings his Keyblade at Sora, knocking him off of his feet. "Wait, what are you-". The old man strikes again, but Sora rolls over and dodges, and simultaneously summons his Kingdom Key. The old man's eyes grow wide when he sees Sora's Keyblade. "So, you are indeed the person I've been looking for."

DX, that really sucks, see that is why the 'Save as Draft' button is really good for stuff like that.

Chapter 8: Death of a God

 

The Figure yells in anger. "Impossible! This is impossible! You cannot wield a Keyblade!". Ansem the Wise laughs again haughtily. "Obviously, I can. This is the Keyblade I obtained during my exile in the Realm of Nothingness. This is the Kingdom Key Nothing."

 

The Figure shakes his head in disbelief. "You bastard", he snarls. He gets a tight grip on his blades, and then charges at Ansem, aiming to kill. Once he is close enough, the Figure swings his left blade, but Ansem blocks with ease. The Figure swings again repeatedly, hoping to get a strike on Ansem, but he fails. Ansem the Wise blocks all of his attempted attacks, and laughs while he does it. "You are a fool." And then he slashes the Figure across his chest.

 

The Figure drops to his knees, grabbing his chest and panting. Blood trickles down his chest onto the sand, and a trickle of blood drips down his mouth. Suddenly, he starts to grow blue, and the slash he received from Ansem begins to close up. Ansem can only watch when the Figure hops up after his recovery and impales Ansem with both of his Ethreal Blades. Blood splashes everywhere. Ansem looks up into the night sky, his eyes beginning to glaze over.

 

"This is how it is going to end, is it..". The Figure starts to attempt to pull the blades out from Ansem's body, still standing, but he is surprised when he sees a familiar Keyblade pop out of his abdomen. Aqua is standing behind the Figure, holding the Keyblade that has impaled him. "The No Name Keyblade...my only weakness. Xemnas knew...that's why he had me leave it with you. He knew this day would come." The blueness in the Figure's eyes begin to fade away, as does the heart shaped tattoo on his chest. His golden hair begins to turn a dark purple, and he falls to the ground, dead. Ansem the Wise, clinging on the edge of his life, lays on the ground, hoarsely calling to Aqua. Aqua limps over to him, and tries to attempt to heal him, but Ansem waves her off. "No, no. I am destined to die here. That's probably why I was transported here after the explosion. I am sorry we could not save that poor boy. He's been through so much..".

 

Aqua kneels on the ground next to Ansem. "His name was Lucis. A boy with true power, but destined with a horrible future." Aqua's face begins to take on an inquisitive look. "Wait..Lucis?! I remember reading something about him when I was a little girl in my history book..wasn't he like a god or something?". Ansem the Wise nods. "Yes. Long ago, when Lucis was still young..he was chosen by some deities to be their hero. They forced him to fight monsters for their entertainment. After he had slayed all of the monsters in the land, the deities decided to give him the powers of a god, but it was a trick. They didn't really want him to be equal to them. Soon after he received his 'powers', he was transported from his universe to ours." Aqua looks shocked. "He wasn't even from here?!". "No. He fell from the sky, almost like a comet, and landed on Destiny Islands. Master Xehanort found him, and realized that he was a powerful boy. So he used him for his own gains, but to no avail."

 

Aqua's eyes begin to fill with tears. "I feel so sorry for him. I didn't have to kill him, I didn't-". Ansem starts to cough blood. Aqua gets up and tries to heal him again, but he waves her off like he had done before. His body begins to fade into the wind slowly. Before he completely disappears, Ansem says one last thing. "Aqua. I implemented important data into Sora. I have no idea if he is dead or not, but if somehow you make it out of here and find him, use my Keyblade to unlock it." Ansem drops the Keyblade to the ground, and fades away completely.

Chapter 9: Lost and Found Hope

"Ugh. My head hurts so much." A blonde boy is sitting in a chair, in an all white room. He tries to get up from the chair, but his body feels like he had been sleeping for 12 years. The boy flutters his eyes open, and he is blinded by light. "Ughhh." The light dims down, and the boy finds himself sitting on a throne of some sort. "Wait...is this Master Eraqus' chair? Wait! I'm awake! I'm awake!".

A door to the far side of the room opens, and a man walks into the room. Ventus smiles as he sees one of his best friends enter the room. "Terra!". Slowly, Ven tries to walk over to his friend. When he finally makes it, he sees that something was wrong. The person standing in front of him was Terra, but at the same time it wasn't. "Terra?", Ven asks inquisitively. The man looks into Ven's eyes, and Ven realizes that the man's eyes are golden, and his hair was gray. "Ventus", says a voice that wasn't Terra's. The voice is cracky and old..as if this man has been living for 100 years. But the voice is too familiar to Ven. Instinctively, Ven starts to back up. "Master Xehanort! How did you get inside Terra?".

Possessed Terra smiles. "I have always been inside of here, ever since you went to sleep. 'Many seeds have been planted'. I hid my heart deep inside of Terra's body, knowing that this day would come. But unfortunately, our hearts fused. When my half-Nobody Xemnas was destroyed, Terra's body was reformed, however, his heart was not, since our hearts were one. So once my Nobody was destroyed, we became one again." Ventus starts trembling in rage. "Give me my friends heart back", he growls.

Xehanort laughs. "Do you honestly think I will do that without a fight? I need your heart to reshape this worlds." Ventus sticks his arm out, intending to summon his Keyblade, but instead a Kingdom Key appears in his hand. Xehanort's face becomes sour. "So his heart resides within you now."

Aqua is sitting on the cold beach sand, staring at the moons reflection in the water. Ansem left me with these instructions...but how can I complete them? I'm stuck in this Realm! I will never be able to save Ventus or Terra, and I won't be able to get that data.

She tucks her face into her arms, hiding her tears. She sniffs, and then wipes her face, and squints in confusion as she sees a bottle floating towards her. She picks up the bottle from the water, and sees a letter inside, which she opens.

Suddenly, a tremendous amount of light appears in front of Aqua, and it forms a door. Aqua drops the letter and stands to her feet, smiling and shedding tears of joy. "Kairi."

Chapter 10: Unite

 

Clang. The sound of two Keyblades clashing shakes the room. Xehanort and Ven, in intense focus, are standing in the middle of the room, trying to overpower one another. In a sudden movement, Xehanort overpowers Ven and knocks him to the ground. The Kingdom Key flies from Ven's hand as he hits the ground hard. Xehanort, now having a grin on his face, points his Keyblade right at Ven's neck. "It's over Ventus."

 

Suddenly, blood splashes all over Ven's face, and all across the floor. It took a couple of seconds for Ven to realize that it wasn't his own. Ven looks up and sees two blue blades sticking out of Xehanort's chest, covered in blood, and a purple haired boy standing behind Xehanort. The boy pulls his blades from Xehanort's body, and he falls to the ground, trembling in pain. Ventus jumps to his feet and stares at Xehanort's body, tears falling from his eyes. Xehanort's hair starts to change color, so do his eyes. In a couple of seconds, Xehanort's hair changes from silver to brown, and his eyes changed from amber to blue, but they are empty. Dead. Ven starts to choke on his tears. He drops to the ground and puts his hands in his hair, starting to scream. "Terra!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!".

 

The purple-haired boy puts his head down, silently shedding a tear. Ven starts to cry out loud, not able to control his emotions. But his crying is stopped early, because he feels a hand suddenly touch his shoulder. Ven turns around slowly, and sees two ghost-like figures standing behind him. Two people he's known most of his life. Master Eraqus and Terra.

 

Ven gets up to his feet, overflowing with joy now. He reaches out to touch Master Eraqus, but his hand goes through his ghostly body. Eraqus sadly starts to shake his head. "I'm sorry Ventus. We are on our way. We have no physical bodies, this is just a projection of our being." Terra looks sad too. Ven starts to shake his head in disbelief. "No! You guys can't go! Where are you going?!". Terra points to the ceiling. "To Kingdom Hearts. To become one with it." And then Terra points at Ventus' chest. "But we will always be here." Ven starts to frown. "But who am I going to eat ice cream with now?". Soon after he says this, he grabs his head. "Wait, why did I just say that?". Terra and Eraqua just smile, and then they slowly start to fade away...

1 year later

 

"Master Riku!". A boy runs towards a man on a beach. The man beckons the boy to hurry up. The boy has sandy blonde hair that falls down to his face, and eyes bluer than the sea. He is no older than 10. He is wearing a white tee shirt with some black shorts. The boy reaches the man, and he starts to pant hard. "I'm ready to train!". Riku, who is wearing an alternate colored version of his KH2 outfit (red and green), bends down on one knee and puts his hand on the boys shoulder. "I think it's time for you to be able to do this." He sticks his hand out into the air and summons the Way to Dawn. He then hands the Keyblade to the boy. "If you can hold this, you are ready for training." The boy starts to shake with anticipation. He holds his hands out and grabs the Keyblade. As soon as he touches the Keyblade, blue sparks start to fly everywhere. The boy jumps up and drops the Keyblade, and Riku laughs and picks it up. "You are ready", he smiles.

 

"Nimbussss!", says a voice far off from the village. "Oh, that's my mom calling", says the boy. "I'll talk to you later Master!". And then the boy runs off. Riku gets off of his knee and walks towards the edge of the beach, and stares into the sunset. "This world....is just too perfect."

Right after he says these words, he sees a boy suddenly appear in the water, just standing. A giant wave appears from behind him, rising menacingly. Once Riku notices the boys bright blue eyes, and brown spiky hair, he starts to run off the beach into the water. The boy sees Riku running towards him, and simply sticks his arm out, as if beckoning him. And then the wave hits, and Riku screams, "Sora!".

It's either coming next week or in a month, it depends. I am going to write a Bleach story as well, and I can't decide if I should write the sequel to this now or start writing my Bleach story.
