just wondering about the dmg I make during parties. So I have seen others who happens to be around my level make roughly 18k/hit using a medal(so x10-13 times approx.) while I did only max 2.8k-3.8k

 

So, just want someone to clarifies what factor determines damage?

Damage takes a lot of things in consideration: medal level, if has chips and dales, medal multiplier, special attack bonus, keyblade multiplier, enemy type and its defense (each enemy has its own apparently).

During a quest, if you hold the info button on the keyblade you can see the total multiplier for each medal. Also, there is this site you can use to calculate the damage: http://khuxtracker.com/

It's because none of those medals are a general strength buffer. That kh 2 illustrated kairi is a great medal but it's not really gonna help your damage output that much. You need a medal like kh 1 illustrated kairi or another defense lowering medal like your key art 3.
