Well there's already a thread over the usa, and England, so I guess I'm trying to keep in the trend and since alot of people on this site live in Australia, as well as Yahtzee(My hero), I'm rather curious, What's you're opinions over Australia(besides the commonwealth games)

I have no clue, the only thing I've heard about over there is controversy over lack of an M rating for video games, so R rated games are banned.

It's not the same as American football. You run with the ball in your hands but you have to kick the ball to score. It's a completely different sport.

^Isn't Australian football similar to rugby?

^not really. Rugby has more in common with American football than Australian football imo.

i'm gonna bring this up... WHY IS AMERICAN FOOTBALL CALLED FOOTBALL?

it's called football in england becausde you kick the ball with the foot, you don't even use your feet (apart from running) in american football!

^I guess because when the English first came to America, the people that began to live there came from different places and American Football was probably made up of those peoples favourite sports, i.e. rugby and soccer/football. It probably began as a blend of both and they just called it football because that's what it originated from. The same as Australian football. It's not similar to English football but still called football.
