Maya...was behind this? Allan thought of yesterday and just a little while ago. All the fun they had together. Was it all just...an act?

"Maya! Please just listen to us!" Allan called out to her as he was under Michael's protection.

Suddenly though, a creature emerged from Maya's necklace. A djinn. Allan listened to Maya, trying to understand where she was coming from, and was about to open his mouth before Michael opened his. Michael wasn't being very thoughtful about this. With a single wish, Maya had doomed herself, and many others. Allan and Michael were sent flying back, through the walls of dorms, and if Michael didn't have ahold of him, Allan would be dead. Allan held tightly onto Michael's hand, which was the only thing keeping him from falling to his death. His entire body trembled, trying not to look down as Michael lift him to safety.

"Michael, listen to me. We have to get on the ground where Maya is. Please, please don't shoot her. I need that genie thing gone." Allan instructed, probably to Michael's dismay.

The two stumbled down and out of the building, the winds picking up very quickly as Allan's and Michael approached the spring, Maya standing at the very foot. Lighting striked the building they just came out of, the genie working his manic above Maya's shoulder, her in a trance-like state.

"Maya!!" Allan called to her, stepping away from Michael.

Maya's eyes shot right at him, a force from the djinn sending Allan flying right back and into the ground.

"Shit..." Allan cursed, taking blood in his mouth from a busted lip.

"Maya! I know you can hear me! Please, please don't do this! Creatures and humans alike are mean, its common nature to be so. Is destroying this entire school the proper way to resolve your anger?!" Allan yelled out to her.

"I don't want to hurt you Maya, and I don't want you to hurt anyone else! Please just listen to me!" He cried out to her, his calls seemingly ignored.

The genie picked up a large rock with just a wave of his finger.

"I'll make him drop this on you, human. Don't tell me what to do!! People like you KILLED MY PARENTS!!!" Maya screamed, thunder booming above the school as students tried to flee.

Allan gulped.

"You're even going to kill the ones who care about you, hm...?" This was only said by Allan, him not moving as the large rock began to lower around him.

He had to show Maya that he was not afraid, even if he was trembling.

"Allan!" Michael yelled, watching his partner make his way into the line of fire with no regard for his own safety. "ALLAN!" Michael screamed, struggling against the rising wind. The students huddled inside the academy in fear, the teachers reassuring them as they were ready to fight for them. The water began to rise ever so slowly, the founding rock of the academy cracking as the Djinn continued to do what he was asked to do; to destroy. "Allan, you have to get out of here!" Michael screamed. Instead, Allan pushed forward, pleading for Maya to stop this madness. "If I kill them, they'll learn a lesson. One that is long overdue!!!" Maya screamed, the Djinn raising a large boulder from the foundation above their heads before throwing it straight at Allan. Michael hurried, running towards Allan as he quickly stood in front of him. He pulled his whip back, transforming it into a cane as he proceeded to launch at the boulder with it. The cane hit the boulder right in the middle, with Michael's force quickly shattering the boulder into pieces as he reached forward. With a swing of his cane, he transformed it into a whip, the whip flying across the air as it swung and hit Maya right on the neck. Specifically, her necklace, the force of the hit hard enough to shatter it upon contact. Once it broke off, Maya let out a blood curling scream, holding her head as the Djinn screamed with her. Soon the world around them began to change again as the powers were unleashed from the container of the necklace, spreading across the school. The pain scoured through Maya's body, the corruption trying to escape.

"Maya."

Maya's eyes widened, recognizing the voice. She looked down at the necklace, a bright glowing orb of magic still remaining within. "...mom?"

"Maya. If you are hearing this, it means that for one, I am long gone, and that you have reached a point in your life where you are in search of answers. I leave this recording to you, in hopes to provide you any comfort in the future. I know that life may look bleak. That people shame you for your creation. Yet you persisted and loved us instead of hating yourself. You were strong, and I knew I was blessed to have you as a daughter. Your father and I love you so very much, that we would risk everything to bring you into this world. If you find yourself overcome by the hatred that I'm sure you will have, I beg of you; do not let it have you. The world is a wonderful place, Maya, with both good and bad. Though many see us wrong, it will be up to you to prove them wrong. I am proud of you, Maya. Do not ever give up, and prove to the world that you can exist as long as love prevails. I love you, my dear Maya, and I always will. Now, and forever. Until we meet again, live on."

Tears escaped Maya's eyes as she held the broken necklace close to her, watching the light slowly fade. "Mom..." She whispered. The Djinn screamed once more before slowly disappearing, taking the magic with him. Slowly, but surely, the world began to go back to how it once was. The sky cleared up, the sun shinning once again against a sky of blue. The waters calmed, the creature that once plagued it suddenly being absorbed to a portal, before disappearing to where it once came. Once floating rocks fell from the sky and to the ground and water beneath. Maya found herself laying on the floor, crying as she held what remained of her mother in her hands, her eyes and mind returning to normal. "Mom...!!!" She cried, sobbing as the winds ceased, and calm returned once more. The threat was no more.

Allan closed his eyes tightly as Maya screamed out at Allan, Michael's cane shattering the boulder right before it would have crushed him. Michael pulled his whip back, and broke the necklace around Maya's neck, destroying the djinn, and breaking Maya of her trance. As the school slowly began to return to normal, Allan stepped away from Michael, and approached Maya, hugging the centaur.

"It's okay, Maya." He pat her back.

"My name is actually Allan Othello, and that is Michael Cassio. We are agents of M&M and were sent here to solve the mysteries of the pranks. I did not want Michael to do anything too overboard, so I stepped in." Allan explained to her.

Maya sniffed, rubbing her eyes.

"I'm sorry I caused so much trouble." She was still sobbing.

Lynn approached Michael, Maya, and Allan.

"Thank you guys so much. Allan, I admire your bravery, and Michael, your strength is incredible! I will call M&M once things get sorted out here." She smiled to them, looking down at Maya.

"Come on Maya dear." Lynn helped Maya up, patting her back.

Lynn began to round up other students and teachers.

Allan waved to Lynn and Maya as they walked away, the sun showing its face again as the world was calm.

"Case closed, I guess." Allan closed his eyes and smiled, breathing in the fresh air.

"Are you ready to go?" He asked Michael, looking up to the sky as birds began to come out again.

Allan was responded not with the usual, cheerful come back. Instead, the sound of a slap resounded as Michael slapped Allan across the face. Michael's pupils were still slit, panting heavily as he glared at Allan. "...what were you thinking, Allan?!" Michael began. "Throwing yourself right in the middle of the line of fire with no weapon or plan?! What if I hadn't arrived in time?! Are you trying to get yourself killed?!" Michael asked, looking rather upset at the stunt. "Thinking like that is going to get you killed! That could have gone terribly wrong, you know that?! Stunts like that could have, would have killed any supernatural creatures, and it would have most definitely have killed you! You have to remember, Allan, you're human and all humans do is DIE!" ! Michael screamed, panting heavily as his cheeks flushed pink. It wasn't until moments later that he realized what he had said, blinking as his eyes returned to normal. "...oh f*ck...Allan I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to...!" Michael gasped, reaching out for Allan.

Allan's eyes looked over to Michael, awaiting his response before suddenly, he drew his hand back quickly, and slapped him across the face. It echoed in his ears, Allan's smile dropping instantly. His fingers shook as he reached up and gently touched the stinging, red mark on his face. What in the hell? Allan could only keep his mouth shut as he was blasted by Michael.

"You're human and all humans do is DIE!" Allan's eyes glared at Michael, as he suddenly realized what he said.

He stepped away, not letting Michael touch him.

"Don't talk to me." he let go of his face, and turned straight towards the faulty dorms to go get the rest of his stuff.

Allan arrived faster than Michael, throwing his stuff into his bag without any care, and just as Michael walked in, Allan walked to the bathroom to change into his M&M uniform again. He shut the door to the bathroom and locked it, and had to face himself in the mirror. His cheek was still red and hurt, his eyes swollen up with tears, but he did not cry. He got dressed, and threw the bathroom door open.

"We are leaving." he instructed, stepping out of their room and heading back down to the parking lot with Michael's car, placing his hand on the door handle and waiting in silence for Michael to come down so they could go back to M&M.

Michael watched Allan go, frowning as he mentally scolded himself. Oh he really f*cked up this time. He had let his emotions get the better of him, and now he was paying that price heavily. And so was Allan. He followed Allan, who gave him the bare minimum of interaction as they gathered their stuff for the journey back to the base. He remained quiet, offering his goodbyes to the principal as he followed Allan down to the car. He pressed the button, the car beeping as it unlocked. "Allan-." Michael began, but Allan instead just got inside and shut the door. Michael sighed. This was going to be a long ride. He stepped inside, quietly turning on the car as he drove away from the academy, and back into the cave from which they came from. As they approached the end, the sand that blocked the way was removed by the creature outside, allowing them to leave back into the desert before the creature hid the entry from sight again. "Allan. You can't walk away from me here, so, listen, please?" Michael asked, his tone full of guilt. "I...I didn't mean to hurt you. Much less to slap you or say what I said but...you have to understand that you can't just throw yourself into danger with no plan other than hope. That's not how it works. That's how you get killed." Michael explained, gripping the steering wheel tightly. "I've already lost enough partners. I...just refuse to loose you too." Michael explained, sighing as they drove back to the base. He really screwed up, and no amount of blood could fix that feeling away.

Allan mentally grumbled to himself as Michael had him in a corner.

"It does not matter that you didn't mean to, but you did. Look at me, Michael." Allan faced Michael, his cheek still red from the smack.

"Unlike you, I'm not a trained cop. I'm still learning. I make mistakes and that back there was one of them. Human employees do not slap and deride each other when they make mistakes." his tongue was sharp, Allan crossing his arms.

"If we are going to make it through being partners together, there are going to have to be some changes in attitude...for the both of us." Allan did not say this until the M&M building was in sight.

Allan got out of Michael's car as soon as they arrived, walking to the elevator and to the lobby, picking up a case report paper, and stopping at the Warden's front desk.

"Warden. I need a temporary partner change request form," he said quietly to her.

The Warden looked up to see who was talking and was shocked but just nodded silently, pulling a paper out and handing it to Allan without any words.

(NOOOOOOOOOO ALLAN WHAT ARE YOU DOINGGGG)

Michael nodded. Allan was right, and Michael could not defend his actions. "I understand...I'm sorry, Allan." Michael said as they reached the base. He followed Allan inside, making their way to report back to the Warden. However, he didn't expect the request Allan made. Michael's eyes widened. "A...Allan?" Michael asked. The Warden glanced at Michael, and then at Allan. "Please fill this out, and you will be reassigned temporarly." The Warden spoke. "Allan, you can't be serious, can't you?! I said I'm sorry-!" Michael began, but was quickly silenced by the Warden. "Michael." The Warden spoke, signaling Michael to follow me. "Step out with me for a moment, let us give Allan some time to fill out the form." The Warden said, standing up as she stepped out into the hallway. Michael hesitated. "It's an order, Cassio." The Warden warned. Michael sighed, following the Warden as he closed the door behind them, leaving Allan alone in the office. On the form, it required the name of a fellow officer they would like to be temporarily assigned with. "What the hell happened?" The Warden asked. Michael looked up. "He...He threw himself in the line of fire, so I just...well...I had to tell him-!" "By slapping him?" Michael lowered his head. "This is a human we are dealing with. They are much more emotionally sensible than us. You were human once, you should know better." "I know." The Warden stared at him. "You don't trust him." "What? Of course I do-!" "No." The Warden repeated. "You don't trust him." Michael paused, frowning as he looks away. "Michael, he isn't a baby. He is an agent of M&M and a detective. Human or not, he will and can hold off his own ground. You cannot act like a helicopter parent constantly making sure he doesn't get a single scratch." "The last time I did that Clay got killed." "And he died doinghis duty as a detective." The Warden hissed. She watched, gently getting a hand on his shoulder. "You cannot take the blame of Clay's death for the rest of your life. Nor the death of every mortal you have ever encountered. Regardless of what you feel, if you don't allow yourself to trust Allan as when you did with Clay, it will end badly. It might even get in the way of your job, and if that happens, we will have no choice but to put you in stasis. You understand?" The Warden warned. Michael gripped his fists. "...yes mam." "Now, you are to write up your report. Other than that, you are dismissed. I will assign you a new partner soon. We need all hands on deck." "Has something happened?" The Warden's eyes narrowed. "The Blood Moon Murders have resumed. He's back."

Allan's eyes glanced sadly at Michael, taking the paper as The Warden led Michael away. He grabbed up a pen and began to fill the paper out.

Name: Allan A. Othello

Species: Human

Name of Temporary Partner: Alrich Bachmann

Reason for Temporary Partner:

Length of time for Temporary Partner: 7 days

Signature:

Allan Alexander Othello

XX/XX/2018

Allan specifically left the reason for temporary partner blank, putting the pen down and placing the paper on the Warden's desk.

"Aldrich was right about you and me, Michael." he said to himself, stepping out of the Warden's office and walking past Michael, up to his room to put away some things.

Theodosia came falling out of his wall just a few seconds after Allan walked in.

"Allan! You put in a temporary partner change request??" she asked frantically.

"Yes." he responded simply back.

Theodosia was silent for a while, studying Allan's face.

"He hit you. Why did he hit you, Allan?" she asked carefully.

"Because I'm still learning, and he does not quite understand that yet," he said calmly, taking a deep breath.

"Even if you are with Aldrich, please be careful. I know Michael cares a lot about you, and even he makes mistakes...but Aldrich is not Michael." Theodosia warned to him, Allan nodding his head.

"I know." he sighed, walking exiting his room, waving goodbye to Theodosia.

"Please consider your actions, Allan Othello." she said quietly as Allan left.

Michael and the Warden watched as Allan stepped out and walked away. Michael looked away as the Warden stepped into the office, Michael following in suit. "It will only be temporary, but obviously you both need some time to think. Especially you. This will do you good." The Warden said as she sat down, picking up Allan's form. "(Maybe we assigned you to a human too fast. We should have allowed you more time to adjust, Michael.)" The Warden thought, her eyes softening as she pulled up some files. Just then, a knock on the door. "Come in." The Warden said. In stepped in Aldrich, closing the door behind him, smiling at Michael. "I thought I smelled you nearby. You're back." Aldrich said casually, glancing around the room. "Where's your pet?" "He's not-!" Michael took a deep breath, holding himself back. The Warden cleared her throat. "There has been some complications, and the circumstances call on a temporary exchange of partners." The Warden lifted Allan's form. "Aldrich, you will now be temporarily partnered up with agent Othello." The Warden said. Michael's eyes widened, grabbing the piece of paper and staring down at it in disbelief. Aldrich seemed to be equally as surprised. "The brat asked for me?" "He asked for him?!" "I am in no position to question his motives. It will be done. Any objections will be dismissed." The Warden instructed, quickly taking the paper back before pushing forward a couple of files. "Now, let us get to business. While you and Allan were away, a murder took place. The connection was noted as soon as investigators arrived to the scene. Same cause of death, same manner, same message written in blood." " 'You will be one of us'. " Michael breathed, glancing over to Aldrich with a glare, who simply raised his hands in defense. "We've just received calls of two more murders. We have the S9 unit sniffing out any possible leads and suspects around the areas. I need you two to check each scene for any further clues that could be useful to us. Michael, you will be assigned with Draven and take the murder in the residential area of the Silva District. Aldrich, you and Allan will go to the apartment complex in the commercial district." The Warden said, handing the two their files. The two of them picked theirs up, eyeing the details. Aldrich looked at Michael, but before he could say anything, Michael spoke first. "Take care of him." Michael warned. "If you get him killed, I'm coming after you next." Aldrich chuckled. "Don't worry. He's my partner. I'll treat him as one of my own. Anything to make you happy." Aldrich said. Before Michael could respond, Aldrich landed a kiss on Michael's lips, much to the Warden's dismay. By the time Allan was returning to the office, he would've witnessed Aldrich being punched right through the officer wall and into the wall out in the hall, his legs sticking out of the hole as he groaned. "...you've always been cute when angry...~"

Allan's phone buzzed in his pocket, a message from the Warden for a new case...already. He sighed, turning back to the Warden's office, but as he turned the corner, Aldrich was suddenly thrown out of the Warden's office and into the wall in the hall. Unsurprisingly, Michael was the culprit.

"Is that the case report?" Allan point at the paper in Aldrich's hand.

"Here you go, little puppy." Aldrich teased, handing Allan the paper.

"If you're going to be calling me a dog for seven days, this isn't going to work." Allan barked at him.

Aldrich raised his hands in his defense as Allan began to read the paper. The title of the case report had him stuck for a moment.

"The Blood Moon Murders?" He asked quietly.

"They restart..." Aldrich respond.

Allan's eyes turn and met Michael's. He frantically read the document.

"Okay, we need to get on this. I will be right back." Allan handed Aldrich back the paper, and quickly walked back up to his room.

The Blood Moon Murders?! How did they restart?! Allan suit himself up, bulletproof vest, two bags of silver bullets, his silver knife, and his badge. He went back downstairs quickly, meeting with Aldrich by the door. Allan saw Michael's car leaving as he approached Aldrich.

"You batters not dare lay a finger on me." He warned Aldrich.

"Whatever you wish." The vampire laughed, opening his umbrella and leading Allan out to the car.

Aldrich led Allan to his car, using the umbrella to avoid direct sun contact as much as he could before getting into the car. "Right, we better get going, shall we?" Aldrich said as he got his seat belt on and began to drive off. "It's...insane. Why would they begin again after so long?" Aldrich asked, sighing. "There's no eclipse, it's nowhere near its anniversary...seems we just have bad luck, don't we?" Aldrich asked. Allan, however, didn't seem to want to form a conversation. Aldrich pursed his lips. "Come on, talk to me kid. I'm not the bad guy. I just...really like your partner. I have for over a century, but he seems to really have a thing for humans." Aldrich complained, glancing at Allan before looking back at the road. "Whatever. I can't make you like me...not like I can charm you anyways." Aldrich said, smirking to himself. "You can't charm someone who's heart belongs to someone else." Aldrich shrugged. "Regardless...if it's the same as last time, it won't be a pretty sight. So prepare yourself. The bodies are drained of all of the blood. It's not a bloody scene. It's just...disturbing." Aldrich warned. The two of them drove all the way to the apartment in the commercial district. Police wee already there watching over the perimeter. Aldrich parked the car and got out. The police at the scene were quick to lead them to the apartment of the scene of the crime. The victim was male, human, and lived alone. He was lying on the floor, his body completely drained of blood, minus the message written on the board with it. " 'You will be one of us'." Aldrich hissed, gritting his teeth. "How dare they turn something sacred into this monstrocity?"

Allan and Aldrich approached the apartment, the policeman opening the door for them both. The case before him was actually...less frightening than Allan had expected.

"I guess the report I read was only an exception." he thought, leaning down and looking to the victim.

The man was dead, obviously, a puncture in his neck, his eyes still wide in terror, his mouth gaping open still, his face white as paper. It was an unpleasant sight, Allan turning his head away from it and to the words written on the wall.

YOU WILL BE ONE OF US.

"What does this even mean?" Allan sighed, taking a picture of the message with his phone to use as evidence.

"Any ideas, Aldrich?" he asked, turning to Aldrich.

Aldrich's eyes were slits, focusing on one dark corner of the room.

"Step out of the corner, now." he hissed, the sound of footsteps following, Allan pulling his gun quickly out of fear.

Suddenly, a flash went past Aldrich and Allan.

"He's on the run, come on Allan!" Aldrich yelled out, chasing after the man that was in the corner.

Allan quickly ran out to the door, Aldrich in front of him as they began to run after the shadowy man.

The suspect ran out the emergency fire escape, hurrying up the stairs as Aldrich ran right behind him. "Come back here!" Aldrich yelled, the suspect hurrying up the stairs all the way to the roof part of it. Aldrich followed it, proceeding to jump up the stairs from railing to railing, crawling up as he began to catch up to the suspect. As the suspect reached the roof, Aldrich was right behind, running straight at him as he took out his blade. "There you are." Aldrich hissed, spinning the blade in his hands. The suspect paused, staring back at Aldrich as it braced for him. Aldrich ran right up to him, transforming his blade into its scythe form halfway as he swung at the suspect. The suspect threw itself onto the floor, barely dodging the scythe before rolling out of Aldrich's way. Aldrich spun his scythe again, aiming to cut the suspect in half. The suspect, jumped, dodging the blade as it threw something at it. The circular object was sliced in half by Aldrich's scythe, a small explosion occurring from it as a yellow, powdery smoke covered the area. At the scent of it, Aldrich began to cough up violently, blood escaping his lips and nose as he quickly jumped out of the cloud, his skin burning as blisters began to form on the exposed skin. "Garlic?!" Aldrich screamed, coughing painfully as he watched the suspect run off. However, with no place to go, it simply jumped right off the building and into the busy street below. As the suspect landed on the street, cars blew their horns desperately. One car coming straight at him did not have the time to stop. The suspect did not move, instead braced itself as it rose its arm, the suspect's bracelet glowing brightly before a shield of some sort showed up right in front of him. The car smashed right into it, the force of it alone, sending the car flying over the suspect and landing right behind him, many more before it crashing with each other. "Magic?!" Aldrich's eyes narrowed as the suspect ran into one of the city's many alleyways. Aldrich was about to follow, his attention however, taken to the civilians trapped in the car. Gasoline was leaking, and there was no time before the car would explode with the people inside. "Dammit!" Aldrich screamed, transforming his scythe back into its bladed form as he jumped down to the street. "Allan! Go after the suspect! I'll catch up to you after I deal with the civilians!" Aldrich yelled, running over to save the civilians as the suspect gave Allan the finger before running off.

Allan was very quickly outrun by the suspect, but was still not that far behind Aldrich, seeing him be attacked.

"So that is what happens when a pureblood vampire is hit with garlic." Allan ran past Aldrich as he recovered.

"What the hell dude!" he yelled, having to run down the stairs of the apartment to the street, arriving just as soon as the subject protected himself from being hit by the car.

"Just who is this guy?!"

Aldrich caught up with Allan, nodding to Aldrich upon his command. Running across the road, looking up to see the suspect flick him off. Aldrich did the same, grabbing up his radio.

"Suspect on the run, reporting from the corner of West Main and South Smith!" Allan yelled into his radio, running after the suspect.

This guy was fast. That was for sure. After a while of running, Allan lost sight of the suspect. He stood at a dead end, trying to catch his breath.

"Where the hell...?" Allan pulled his bangs from his face.

He caught his breath, interrupted by the sound of Aldrich's voice.

"Allan! Come on!" he yelled out to him, calling for him, rushing up to the end of the corner where Allan was.

Allan started to run but suddenly stopped dead in his tracks. He looked at Aldrich. Wait. That...wasn't Aldrich. This Aldrich was wearing the same outfit the suspect was wearing.

"Wait a second..." Allan began.

Suddenly the suspect charged straight towards Allan, in a monstrous speed hit a small round ball into the ground. The face bearing Allan's image melt away, Allan unable to get a good look before a powerful blast went off, sending him flying into the wall behind him, his radio flying from his pocket. Everything just happened way too fast, and everything slipped away from Allan's eyes way too slow, the world grew dark around him, the suspect's sneakers walking right up to him.

(It's okay y'all, Allan ain't dead, we aren't that evil.)

Aldrich ripped off the door off the car, reaching in as he pulled the driver out. "Easy does it! I got you!" Aldrich said, pulling the driver out to safety just before the gasoline and fire combined, a big explosion swallowing the car whole. Aldrich settled the driver down, who groaned in pain as nearby police hurried over while calling for backup on their radios. Aldrich was quick to hurry off, chasing after the suspect and Allan as he followed the scent in the air, narrowing the track down. However, he was left in the dark as he reached a dead end, and just like that, the scent was cut off. On the floor, Allan's gun and walkie talkie, while Allan himself was nowhere to be seen. "Oh no." Aldrich said, feeling a chill run up his spine as he began to run around. "Allan?!" Aldrich called, running back and forth, searching for his partner. "Allan, this isn't funny!" Aldrich yelled, scouring the area for him. He even went back, to the scene and asked the rest of the police officers and checked his car. Allan had disappeared without a trace right under Aldrich's nose. "Michael is going to kill me."

...

"...is he alive...?" "He should be." "This should bring us the vampire?" "It should. They told us it would." "He will show up. They won't loose another human."

As Allan woke, he found himself chained up to the low ceiling by his arms, stripped of his weapons and means of fighting back. He stood in a dimly lit room, surrounded by people. They seemed to be normal enough, even human, if it weren't for the fact that they were all involved in keeping Allan there. Some hid their faces underneath hoodies, hiding behind other people's shadows. A woman stood out from the room, staring at Allan. "This human is a traitor to us. Working with them." The woman spoke, her voice soft and angelic despite the situation. She turned to another woman, the leader of the group. "Do this for us, and I promise you many rewards, Shay." The blonde woman spoke to the supernatural leader. "So we must convince the vampire? Do you think he will join?" Shay asked. "Of course. It's a win-win for us. You gain a powerful member and our rewards, we get what we need. Everyone wins." The blonde woman said. "What if he gets out of control?" Shay asked. "Surely you'll be able to handle him. Even if he does, however, I promise you that we shall be right outside to help you. Press this necklace and we shall come to your aid." The blonde woman assured, holding Shay's hands. "All we want is for what is best for everyone." With that, the blonde woman walked over to Allan, gently caressing his face. "Such a shame. You're a handsome one." She cooed, smiling at Allan. "Tell me...if I give you a chance right now, will you turn your back on M&M and join my cause, Othello?"

...

"I AM GOING TO KILL YOU!" Aldrich pushed Michael back, barely dodging Michael's claws as he aimed to kill. "I swear I wasn't at fault here! He was chasing after the suspect! I looked all over the area, I couldn't even track his scent down! I tried!" Aldrich insisted, pushing Michael back. Michael growled. "This is the case with Clay all over again!" "Enough!" The Warden stood up, getting in between the two. "We can't waste our time bickering, we have to focus on the fact that we have a detective missing. I've already sent squads to look around for him." The Warden insisted. "That won't be enough." Michael hissed, closing his eyes as he held his head. Suddenly, there was the sound of running, someone slamming the door open. The Warden looked pissed. "Ho many times I have to ask you guys to knock-!" "A letter has arrived, mam! Specifically for you!" The officer said, quickly handing the letter over. The Warden took it, reading it over. "...it's asking money?" The Warden asked. Michael and Aldrich looked at each other. "This...is not the same from the last time." Michael said in surprise. "A copy-cat murder?" Aldrich offered. "With so many inside details?" The Warden asked, glaring down. "This is insane. We aren't even allowed to this kind of money. Let's track this down and get a squad ready-!" "That will take too long!" Michael yelled. "Michael, to even get these kinds of funds we would need to speak to our superiors, and that alone can take days." "We won't need them." Michael's eyes narrowed as he pulled out his cellphone. "I'll make a call."

Allan's eyes pulled open, him slowly noticing his surroundings. His arms were chained up and his ankles shackled together.

"Why...are there so many people here...?" Allan squint, trying to look at the others in the room.

Allan listened closely as two ladies close to him talked amongst themselves.

"Michael won't join you." Allan hissed, his eyes glaring at the darker haired woman, Shay.

Shay's eyes cut right back at him, turning to the blonde woman again. As the blonde woman walked towards him, Allan pressed his back against the cold wall behind him. Without his permission, she touched him, forcing him to look at her.

"Abandon M&M? Like hell. Who the f*** are you and how the hell do you know who I am." Allan spat at her, the blond woman backing away.

"Oh Allan, we do not have to fight like this..." The woman smiled, motioning for Shay.

Shay cracked a whip on the ground, it sending a shiver down Allan's back.

"Join us Mr. Othello, or you will get hurt." the blonde lady smiled, stepping back as Shay stepped forwards, drew the whip back, and before Allan would react, it was brought down upon his torso. Small blades cut through his clothes and into his skin, Allan tensing up as he screamed out. The blonde woman clicked her tongue as tears began rolling down Allan's face, him clenching his teeth.

"You made the wrong choice sweetie." The blonde woman mocked, looking to Shay and the others.

"Do what you want with him. If he doesn't want to join us, than that is his own problem. He is just bait anyways...but that vampire will be...one of us." The blonde woman announced, waving to them as she disappeared out a door at the back of the room.

"W-Wait! Don't hurt Michael! Don't touch him!" Allan called out as the group closed him around him.

"Shut up." Shay hissed, pulling her whip back and hitting Allan again, this time she hit him three times, his shirt was tore open from the blades, tears pouring from Allan's face as he clenched his mouth shut, biting his lip. Three vampires rushed over to him, mesmerized by the fresh, human blood. They violated him, licking the blood from his torso as it flowed out. This was wrong. Allan squirmed against the binds.

"Awe...what's wrong? You feeling like joining us now?" Shay giggled at Allan's despair.

"...Like hell..." Allan spat blood out of his mouth and onto Shay's face.

Shay growled, smacking Allan across the face.

"We are going to f*** you up little boy. And when your little Vampire friend gets here, we will finish you off...or he will." Shay hissed.

"Try me." Allan flicked Shay off, who responded by slamming his head into the back of the wall.

Allan's ears rung, his vision getting a little blurry as he looked at the group below him. One of the members of the group pulled a knife, raising it and cheering, Shay smiling.

"Mark his ass." She commanded.

The group cheered, the one with the knife stepping forwards, licking it to show off. Allan looked pitifully down, clenching his teeth.

"I'm so sorry...Michael...Aldrich."

The member cut into Allan's lower side with the knife, Allan crying out once more, and with the help of two more members, carved the shape of a crescent moon into his hip.

(I hope I make you SAD.)

The blonde woman showed up once more, leaning in to whisper something in Shay's ear. Shay seemed to freeze up, but quickly fixed her composure before nodding. The blond woman gently walked over to Allan, the torture stalling momentarily as she gently rubbed his hair. "It's fine, Allan. This won't be the last opportunity for you. But I warn you, that we won't be gentle otherwise." She leaned in, whispering into Allan's ear. "You will be one of us, sooner or later." With that, the blonde woman stepped away, twirling in her pace as she waved at Shay, getting a hand on her shoulder. "Do your best, and you will be rewarded." With that, the blonde woman walked away disappearing into the dark. Shay looked at the group. "Continue." Shay said, however, as they tried to proceed, something stopped them. The tension within the room suddenly rose, sending everyone on edge. The footsteps echoed across the room. Shay stepped back, signaling at the group. "Quick, get ready!" Shay asked. The shapeshifter was quick to hurry over to Allan, holding a blade at his neck as the others began to arm themselves with all kinds of weapons. Garlic bombs, silver encrusted weapons and of the sort. Soon, at the bottom of the room reached a familiar face; Michael. Shay stood by the side. "Not another step closer! Or we will kill him!" Shay warned. Michael glanced around, his eyes glowing in the dark. These guys seemed...off. They weren't the same as before. "You lay a single hand on him again and you will find yourself without a head." Michael warned, his growl booming across the room. Shay gulped. "...did you bring what we asked?" Michael moved his hand, offering a suitcase. "It's here." Michael said, throwing the suitcase into the air. One of the hooded figures quickly caught the suitcase as Michael walked towards Allan. "Is that it?" One of the figures asked. The one holding the suitcase gently opened it, their jaw dropping. "It's here!" "What?! All of it?!" The shapeshifter that held the knife to Allan's neck dropped it as it ran to the suitcase. Inside, thousands of dollars in hundreds were stacked up. "This is more than enough to pay for mom's surgery!" "I can finally pay off my loans!" The group cooed over the money as Michael was quick to shatter the chains that held Allan, catching Allan as he fell. "Allan. I'm sorry. For everything." Michael said, quickly pressing a gun into Allan's hand. "So please let me learn. Show me what a human can do, Allan." Michael asked, staring down at him in the eyes. Before any of them could say anymore, from inside the suitcase a magic seal appeared, as from it a spectral hand shot out, knocking the head of the suitcase holder off it's shoulders. Screams echoed as blood covered the floor, and all eyes were on them again.

As soon as Allan hurt footsteps from someone uninvited, he lift his head up...to see Michael at the door. He only smiled to his true partner...it was a small smile, but he was extremely thankful. How did Michael even find him? Michael threw a suitcase on the ground. They wanted...money from M&M??? As the group was preoccupied with the suitcase, Michael broke Allan's chains, falling into Michael's arms. Allan held tightly onto Michael, holding the gun tight.

"Thank you...Michael." He smiled softly, looking up to him as the suitcase holders head was sliced right off.

All eyes turned back to Allan and Michel. Allan cocked the gun, and as he did so, a garlic bomb was thrown at the both of them, Allan pulling the trigger at the one who threw it, a silver bullet going right through his skull. The group stepped back, Allan loosen his grip on Michael, and placed both hands on the gun. Within seconds, it was a sudden mess of bullets raining from Allan's gun, garlic bombs, and people leaping over to Allan, before getting a hole in their head. Shay backed towards the corner of the room as numbers dwindled, through the pain, Allan was able to fight off the group, the silver bullets destroying every being in that room, human or not. Shay was the last one standing, reaching down, and pressing the button on the necklace the blonde lady gave her.

"HahAhA!! You are in for it no---" Shay was cut off...literally. The necklace around her neck was just a trap. A blade came from the necklace and cut through Shay's neck, her head tumbling off her body, followed by her body into the floor. Allan dropped the gun as soon as Shay fell to the ground. The room was full of garlic, and Allan dropped to his knees on the blood soaked floor. His entire body shook, Allan vomit onto the ground, leaning his head back on the wall.

"T...that is what I can do...Michael." Allan smiled very slightly, his eyes growing heavy.

"F**k today." He giggled to himself, his head dropping to the side as he lost consciousness once again due to injury.

(OUR POOR BABIES.)

Michael held Allan, coughing loudly as his skin began to burn, blood spilling from his nose and mouth. Before long he was collapsing alongside Allan, barely hearing back up finally arrive for them. The last thing he saw were the blurry figure of Aldrich running towards him, screaming his name.

...

The inside of the Warden's office was empty, but not for long. A lone figure quickly entered, closing the door behind them before hurrying over to the computer. They connected a drive of some sort, before typing as a download began. The figure glanced at the door, anxiously expecting anyone to interrupt them before the beep of the computer brought them back to reality. They retrieved their drive, hiding it within their suit as they hurried out the office, making sure no one saw them before disappearing among the masses. They took out a beeper, sending a single message;

'WE'RE BACK IN BUSINESS ; )))'

...

As Allan slowly woke, he would find himself laying on a hospital bed. IVs were stuck into his arm as machines next to home checked up on his vitals. The only window in the room was covered up with a heavy curtain, blocking the sunlight. “Waking up, Mr.Othello?” A voice gently spoke to Allan, a handsome man in a doctors coat standing by his bed. Next to him a beautiful woman, also wearing a doctor’s coat as she held a clipboard in hand. “How are you feeling dear? They really did a nasty number on you. However, I assure you that your wounds are merely superficial and will heal up quickly. You might end up having some scarring, but some creams and ointments should help with that also.” The woman spoke as the man leaned in on Allan, taking out a flashlight as he checked Allan’s eyes. “Stimulus is a-ok. Vitals normal. You didn’t loose lots of blood either. That’s better than most cases the M&M hands us.” The man spoke, chuckling a bit. “Yes. Your blood is real sweet smelling, too. Would be a shame to loose so much of it to nothing.” The woman giggled, the two doctors smiling as they showed off their vampiric fangs. “Don’t embarrass me in front of my partner, please.” A new voice spoke. Michael. The man pulled the curtain that separated the beds, revealing Michael sitting up on the bed. His skin was red in patches, blisters and rashes wrapped up in bandages. Next to him on the end table was a large vase of flowers from Aldrich, his note cheekily signed as it stood among the petals. “We’re just getting to know your partner, sweetie.” The woman cooed. Michael sighed, pointing at the two doctors. “Allan…these are my parents; Vilhelm and Elena Cassio.” Michael said, feeling embarrassed. This was like bringing the boyfriend over to meet the family, without actually having a choice in the matter. “Guys, this is my partner, Allan Othello.” “It’s good to finally meet you, Allan.” Elena said cheerfully. "Vilhelm glanced over at Michael. "As you can see, this is what happens when we are directly exposed to garlic. Not deadly, but quite bad and painful" Vilhelm explained. "And irritating." Michael hissed. Vilhlem looked back at Allan, smiling. "You won't be here for long, but you should rest as much as you can. We'll keep watch over you, and I'll even have Jacobo check up on you when we can't."

Allan's eyes adjust to the light as he slowly awoke, his eyes focusing on a man and a woman standing beside each other, both obvious doctors. Allan didn't quite respond to the mention of M&M, blinking at their fangs.

"Wait...you two are vampires?" Allan questioned, thankful to hear the voice of Michael.

The older man pulled back the curtains, revealing Michael beside Allan, both of them were pretty beat up.
"Wait...these are your parents?!" Allan kept himself from laughing, holding out his hand to the two doctors.

"It is nice to finally meet you. Your son is an absolutely amazing partner, but he can be stubborn sometimes." he smiled, Villhem shaking his hand firmly and Elena grabbing Allan for a hug.

Elena smiled at Allan, "Don't praise him too much. I am glad you two get along".

He then turned to look at Michael.

"Sorry I couldn't deflect those bombs..." Allan apologized to him, looking slightly down.

Elena and Villhelm looked to each other, Elena smiling to her husband.

"We will let you two be for a second, and then we'll let you meet the kids." she said to Allan and Michael, waving before stepping outside.

After they left, it was quiet for a little.

"Thank you for coming to save me, Michael." Allan spoke up.

"I would also like to apologize for my actions earlier today. I might have been overreacting...and just...please forgive me." Allan sincerely apologized to Michael, his eyes looking down.

Michael blushed bashfully as his parents walked away. However at Allan's words, Michael turned to face him. He looked away momentarily. "I...I'm the one who should be apologizing, Allan. I...I underestimated you just because you were a human. I allowed my previous experiences to cast doubt in me. I didn't trust you the way I should have...and for all of that, I apologize." Michael said, looking up at Allan. He then gave him a gentle smile. "How about we start over? We trust each other, not as vampires or human...but as partners. No more overprotective BS from my part." Michael offered, smiling at Allan. Soon enough, the room door slammed open as the siblings arrived. 3 of them, to be exact. Jacobo, the only biological son of the Cassios, and a doctor of his own right specializing in pediatric care. Scarlett, a beautiful young woman turned by them over a century ago. Last but not least, Felix, a young child looking no older than 12, even though he was decades of age, turned at the verge of his short life. "Is this him? Hello!" Scarlett said as she walked in, the three siblings surrounding the bed, much to Michael's dismay. "Ugh, you guys." Michael complained. "You think we wouldn't come to meet your partner?" Felix asked. Jacobo waved. "I'm Jacobo. This is Scarlett and Felix. We came to finally meet my brother's human partner." Jacobo said with a smile. Scarlett walked closer. "We heard you got hurt pretty bad, so we thought we'd make something to make you feel better!" Scarlett said as she held a bowl of food in her hand. "Oh gosh not your cooking. Allan, refuse!" Michael said. Scarlett glared at him. "Don't you start!" She hissed, turning back to Allan. "I haven't been a human for over a century, but I thought I would make you some soup to make you feel better. Felix helped me." Scarlett said as she opened up the bowl. It was a warm bowl of soup with...some meat and rice in it along with some other unidentifiable items. It was green, too. "Soup helps warm up the stomach. Anything to save you from hospital food." Felix said, expecting for Allan to take a sip. Jacobo was holding back his laughter as much as he could. Not Michael though. Michael let out a cheerful laughter, loud and radiant. It had been a while since he laughed like that.

"As soon as we get back to M&M, I am definitely going to make up for everything." Allan smiled, nodding his head.

The door to the room opened once again, three people rushing into the room, embarrassing Michael once again.

"I'm Allan Othello. Nice to meet you three." he smiled gently at Michael's siblings.

Scarlett held out a bowl of food to him. It looked...extremely unappetizing...but Allan couldn't taste anything right now anyway. He took it from Scarlett, her and Felix looking down at Allan, Allan looking down at the soup, quite disgusted by it actually. Michael laughed whole-heartedly, and Allan sucked it up and just took a spoonful, causing Jacobo to unleash his laughter.

"With all due respect, I thank you, but this is horrible." Allan smiled politely at the two, handing Scarlett the bowl.

"If I see you guys again, and I am in better condition, I would be happy to help you guys learn how to cook." he said kindly, Felix nodding.

"That would be awesome if you could help us!!" he smiled brightly, looking at Michael.

"Brother, you should bring your boyfriend back here so he can teach me and Scarlett how to cook!" Felix said, that sending a blush down Allan's face.

"Ah! Are you okay, Allan?" Scarlett looked at him concerned.

"I'm fine." Allan nodded, his blush fading.

At least his sisters were not this bad.

Michael's face flushed as Felix boldly called Allan his boyfriend. "F-Felix! He's my partner!" Michael said, hissing at him as Felix simply smirked, walking around the other side of Allan's bed. "We haven't eaten human food in a while...we should've figured we would be out of touch. I would love for you to teach us." Felix said, smiling as showed off his fangs. Jacobo gave a gentle smile towards Allan. "You're my brother's partner, and our friend now...if you ever have trouble, just give us a call. A bunch of a vampires is reassured to fix any problem." Jacobo said, Scarlett chuckling as she got the bowl away. Michael smiled softly, resting his head against the pillow. Things were going to be alright after all.

-FEW WEEKS LATER-

The Warden had called a bunch of members up to one of the many conference rooms available within the base. Different detectives, all in pairs. There were multiple chairs and tables already set, all facing forward towards the large screen as the projector was set in the back. Michael and Allan were called to this as well. Michael stepped in alongside his partner, seeing Tabitha and Draven already there. "You guys were called too?" Michael asked. "Yeah. Lots of detectives were pulled from some lesser cases for this, apparently." Tabitha said, crossing her arms. "Alright everyone! Take a seat!" The Warden said as she walked in, closing the door behind her. Everyone hurried to sit down, someone turning off the lights as the projector was turned on. "You may be asking why you were pulled from your current cases. Well it is because we have a situation at hand that must be dealt with." The Warden said as the slide proceeded, showing pictures of multiple people. "Every person within these pictures are missing. They have been reported missing by co-workers and family, all of them seemingly disappearing without a trace. What began as a missing person's case has become a hunt for a serial kidnapper." The Warden said, glancing around the room. "All of the missing people are of supernatural origin, of all walks of life, and as far as we have investigated, none have ever even met each other before. There is no connection other than the fact that they have all gone missing within the same span of time. I have called all of you in order to form a large team to investigate this before the public becomes aware of it, and causes panic." The Warden said as she picked up numerous files. "I will assign each of you a missing person, and give you their file. You must hurry over to where they were last scene and try to find any leads. I have decided to make this with pairs considering the detective that we had assigned to this case has also gone missing, failing to report in. We cannot even trace her phone." The Warden said as the slide changed, showing the picture of the missing detective; an Angel named Maria Geova. "Are there any questions?"

Allan raise his hand on account of any questions.

"Yes Mr. Othello?" The Warden ask.

"Do the victims have anything in common other than the fact they are supernatural? Are they all of a certain classification of species? Anything at all?" Allan asked, some agents in the room looking back at him.

"The only connection is that they are supernatural. They all were abducted while doing mundane things like going out to eat or headed to work." The Warden announced.

Allan nodded. There was no known connection.Great.The Warden than began handing out assignments, Allan taking the looseleaf from her, grabbing a paper clip from his shirt pocket and clipping the papers together.

Allan moved the stack closer to Michael so they could both read it.

"Monika Velera, Banshee, Disappeared while walking home from Central High... Her house is a 15 minute walk away from the school." Allan read aloud, pulling his bangs away from his face.

"She was last seen by her human classmates, Elisa Mulligan and Angelica Huston, the two girls devastated, along with Monika's parents." Allan sighed, looking at Michael.

"School should still be in session, shall we talk to the girls?" He ask Michael.
