  • I've got one. A couple of years ago when I was still living with my parents, I saw something I still have no acceptable explanation for.   My bedroom was in the basement, and I had my TV and console

  • I mentioned it to my mom a few weeks ago and she said it might have been my aunt Ginny. She died when I was really little (I think I was only like 5 or 6), so I don't really remember her too well, tho

  • Just remembered, I've got another one.   My boyfriend and I had just watched Insidious. If you haven't seen that movie, it involves astral projection and is absolutely terrifying.    We went to be

Has anyone ever try Astral Projection?

I have heard of it but never experienced it.  It's where you leave your body, right?

Yes, exactly. I've heard there's a certain tea you can drink that can influence your body to experience lucid dreaming (control your dreams) and potentially astral project, but I'm not sure if astral projection is even possible.

There are too many people who've said they can do it for it not to be. My religion (Wicca) even uses it for stuff. You can even see the other people doing it. I believe it can be done, and I'd love to try it but I guess it takes practice.

I doubt it actually works.  I believe there is actually prize money offered by James Randi to prove their supernatural claims.  So far, nobody has been able to prove the supernatural.  James Randi is infamous for "exposing" Uri Gellar.

Uri Gellar is well known for suing Nintendo over the Pokemon Kadabra.

It would be super cool if astral projection is actually do-able, and I don't doubt that it is. Unfortunately, there is no evidence to prove that it is possible, and no evidence to prove that it isn't possible. But I choose to believe that it is possible, because I don't like turning my back on stuff like this.

I just wish I could go wherever I want to go instead of being restricted to one place.

Maybe it's a powerful lucid state of dreaming. Your brain knows more about the world than you'd think. Maybe that's why you can travel anywhere.

Ohhhh, I like that theory.

I've also wanted to visit the supposed haunted houses all over the US like the ones in New Orleans.  There are just so many to count like the above ground grave yard that houses the voodoo queen, Marie Laveau.  http://allthatsinteresting.com/marie-laveau

There is also the French Quarter and La Petite Theater.

I would love to go to New Orleans, and one of the reasons is all the spritual stuff they have there.

It'd be neat to see that stuff, but New Orleans just doesn't seem fun to me.

I am sure there are haunted places where you're located.  I know there are a few ghost tours where I am at.  It's too bad they charge forty-five dollars for the ghost tour.   Forty five dollars just to walk around a small section of town while listening to someone babble on about supposed hauntings.

Yeah there are, but i have no money and no desire to go anywhere :P

Okay. I have heard there are haunted places around namely abandoned motels, an asylum that is watched over by bikers, and back in another town that I lived, an out of business Toys R Us.

I actually got the last trivia from a website called Shadowlands. Most of the places listed you better have permission or else they will get you for trespassing. I don't know who would break into an out of business store just to see some ghost, in my town, it was a little boy.

The real ghosts in Toys R Us are the memories of what once was there. :P

It's too bad they went out of business due to bad business practices.  I wonder how this Toys R Us' ghost is fairing since now he no longer has any managers and employees to bug.

Basically, the ghost was of a farm hand named Yanny Johnson who had the hots for his employer's daughter.  However, the daughter, Elizabeth was engaged to another and just thought that Yanny was a creep due to the letters he was sending her.  He wasn't literate and was emotionally disturbed, he ended up slamming an axe into his leg and dying from blood loss.  Supposedly, the image of Yanny was captured during a 1970s seance famed psychic Sylvia Brown did.  toys_r_us_ghost_picture_012011c-xl.jpg

I am not sure if ghost photography is real.

It really is upsetting.

I think I've heard that story before, or something similar.

I think some of the pictures are real, but a lot are probably faked to get publicity.

I've seen many ghost photographs.  Most of the time they just appear as orbs and there have actually been a few notable photographs supposedly proving that the supernatural exists like the infamous Brown Lady photo.  The Brown Lady, I believe was debunked because a previous negative got mixed into the photo taken or something like that.  Basically, the previous outline was that of the Virgin Mary and it got imprinted onto the photo of the staircase that was taken.

It's really interesting.  The old cameras they had weren't very reliable.  Heck, I believe there was actually some sort of fad where people actually paid to have their pictures taken with "ghosts".  When photography was first emerging, you basically had to remain still like a statue because the camera took too long to take your picture.  If you moved then there would be some weird movements in the picture, at least that's what I have heard.  Around this time, cameramen were also taking pictures of the dead and since they don't move, their pictures were easier to take.

There have been hoaxes and there are still some pictures that remain inconclusive.

I don't know if you've ever heard of will-o-wisps or dopplegangers.

I'm iffy on Orbs. I've heard of The Brown Lady thing.

I've never really seen any pictures that blew me away.

I've know what dopplegangers are, but not will-o-wisps. What are they?

They are basically balls of light that have been speculated to be caused by swamp gas or the supernatural. It varies from region to region in regards to the supernatural aspect like the lights being caused by yokai (in Japan by the kitsune),to fairies in Europe, witches or brujas taking the form of the ghost lights, even the Australian aboriginals have their version of the mysterious and different colored ghost lights.

Ohh, ok. I think that a majority of orbs and stuff like that are natural, but some can be weird.

Have you had any supernatural experiences?

Yeah. I used to have an Aunt Frent, except she wasn't my aunt and she was dead. She had some attachment to the house I used to live in.

I've had spells done on me to temporarily get rid of my anxiety (they worked).

When I was younger we had some sort of exorcism or cleansing done, I don't exactly remember why.

And I'm almost certain that my dogs Zeus and Cleo came back after they died. I'd constantly hear stuff like the jingle of their collars in the basement (where they slept)

That's interesting.

I've also seen a blue light in the sky, too big and bright for a star. It was there for two minutes and then it was gone. My dad saw it too.
