I've never really had a problem with the fact that I wore braces. I thought I looked pretty okay with them. But today, one of my cousin's friends were being really rude about it. They made comments like:

"Do sparks fly out when you chew?"

and

"Why do you have chainsaws in your mouth?"

I hate people like that.

Now they made me feel so insecure. I almost don't feel like smiling anymore.

Family = assholes in many situations.

They probably think that since they're your cousins friend, then they can get away with everything.

Ignore pricks like that.

I guess you're right...

I'll try. Thanks.

Case in point:

My friends are awesome... 100 % of the time... but when my cousin comes over, they all act like pricks.

Question... how old is the person? o.o

Nahh. It's just him that does that too me.

16.

Ignore him. When you have straight and beautiful teeth, he'll be jealous 8D

My Uke is wonderful and don't let anyone put you down <3

Does he have something that's worth for mocking?

Awh<3 I love you Koko, my seme (:

I tend not to look at people's outer flaws. However on the inside, he's a jerk. Does that count? xD

When it comes to mocking people they don't care about the inside. It's more about the outside. Next time you meet him, ignore him and try to figure out what he has on the outside that's worth mocking.

Don't step down to his level and mock him xD

That's just encouraging him to continue making fun of your braces >:I

Dont go down to his level o3o

Koko is right xD

I don't wanna be mean or be immature by making fun of him. That'll make ME feel like the jerk.

I know what you mean :/ when I got my braces people bugged my too you just gotta ignore it and turn it into a joke. Next time he says one of his comments say something like... "If I make sparks when I chew dose that mean I can breath fire?!" or something like that sorry for the lame joke lol

Don't be silly, you're beautiful with or without bracer's.

Eterna, that honestly made my week.

Thanks. n_n

They're harmless jokes lol? Don't see how they could be offensive, apart from reminding you that you have braces. Which you're fine with... I mean they're not commenting on how they look or anything, simply that you have them.

Are his teeth straight? If not make remarks about how he has awful teeth and in a few months you'll have perfect ones.

The more you mock him (if you will ever try to mock him which you shouldn't) the more he'll mock back. Just ignore him like he's not even there. Eventually he'll get tired of it, seeing as how you're not reacting, and then he'll leave you alone.

Again, I'm not gonna insult him.

He's a jerk and I don't wanna be like him.

DC, it kinda bothers when you haven't even talked to the person and they make fun of you. At least, to me it does xD
