Someone uploaded cutscenes of the early demo version of the toy story world where after Rex introduces Sora as Yozora, he grabs Donald and Goofy and says, "and these are his super sidekicks, Magia and Aegis". That line was cut from the final version.

oooooohhh! the gears in my mind are turning. nomura what are you trying to hide from us?

Why did Nomura remove this?  He could have expanded the story along with many other factors that seem missing from the official game.

I also see no reason to have this cutscene cut.  Maybe it was irrelevant to the Toy Box's plot.  Usually when a cutscene is deleted or cut from production, it's usually because there is something questionable in it.  For example,

Stitch killing Lilo's fish Pudge because he doesn't get the concept of death and then Lilo later burying Pudge who Lilo claims controls the weather at the graves of her dead parents.

Maybe we get extra stuff in the story in the extra content and maybe not

We may find other things if we explore the game files and maybe not

I hope there is another patch on the way that can mend the criticisms this game has gotten so far.

Yeah, unfortunately.  I probably shouldn't get my hopes up too high.

kingdom hearts 3

Animated battle sprites

In the D23 Expo Japan 2013 Trailer, Sora and friends' battle sprites are animated. This is not the case in later trailers or the final version of Kingdom Hearts III.

Tram Common

In the D23 Expo Japan 2013, E3 2015, and Jump Festa 2016 Trailers, Sora and friends battle a group of Heartless in the Tram Common, near the Woods. This is changed to the lower portion of Tram Common in the final release.

Playable Mysterious Tower

In the Jump Festa 2016 Trailer, Sora and company battle a group of Heartless outside the Mysterious Tower. While the world itself appears in Kingdom Hearts III's final version, it is not explorable in any capacity and only shows up in cutscenes.

Cutscenes and altered maps

Kingdom of Corona

In the E3 2015 and Jump Festa 2016 Trailers, Sora walks from the cave in the Hills to the Tower before encountering a group of Chief Puff and Puffball Heartless. In the final released, Sora runs out of cave in the Hills and doesn't encounter any Heartless.

In the Jump Festa 2016 Trailer, Sora and company battle a group of Reapers Nobodies near the waterfall near Repunzel's Tower. In the final released, they do not appear here.

Toy Box

In the May Premiere Event 2018 demo build, Rex confuses Donald and Goofy for Yozora's sidekicks, Magia and Aegis.

  • During a Gargoyles panel at 2015 MomoCon, Greg Weisman revealed that a world based on Gargoyles was initially proposed for the Kingdom Hearts franchise at some point in time, but the idea was eventually scrapped.

Another piece of cut content is a script which got read out at the Kingdom Hearts First Breath concert in Japan.

Spoiler

It was a conversation between Namine and Lingering Will read out by their voice actors. Sadly, we never get to hear this talk in KH3. It is my opinion that a brief mention of it is made by Namine in a missable cutscene during the Final World where she says she will try to communicate with Terra. According to the article on this website, this conversation was meant to happen before A Fragmentary Passage. Either this conversation did happen prior to 0.2 (they just chose not to include it in that game) and Namine's plan to talk to Terra in KH3 means she will try to reconnect with him the same way she did before or it really was cut from KH3 and they chose to have her say that she intends to speak to him instead, with the conversation from the script happening off-screen. Link to the news article with the translated script: https://www.khinsider.com/news/SPOILERS-A-special-conversation-before-KINGDOM-HEARTS-0-2-Birth-By-Sleep-revealed-during-First-Breath-concert-6805

I seem to keep getting signed out.

I can see Namine communicating Terra some time around Days and COM.

I just hope that Nomura does at least something to patch up the mistakes.  He had a long time to work on this game.  It's not perfect nor will ever come close, but at the same time it ain't bad.  I hope we do get more story involvement and some answers to plotholes and probably a Critical Mode.

Yeah, I just wish we can get these problems solved instead of dishing money out for all these criticisms fixed in KH3 Final Mix.

What would even be the point of having a KH3 Final Mix when you can just fix everything with patch updates now in days?

I think I heard that Nomura was focused on remaking Final Fantasy VII and didn't have enough time to concentrate on KH3.
