The kingdom key was meant for riku but the moment Riku’s heart and Sora’s heart were recognized the kingdom key had no choice but to choose Sora… and my theory explains why that happens

i think the whole "child of destiny" is a major plot point that would have been explained in missing link, since it's first mentioned by Player right after in the timeline, and will explain why Sora is able to do Sora thing, i don't think MoM ever mentioned Sora or an individual that could be Sora, it's possible Sora is not visible to the Eye or something, it's fun to think about all that onc ein a while
