OK Guys here is the prob! My father left Me and my family a few month ago with out saying goodbye. He said he was going to go clean the car but, oh no he left!! Tore me and my family hearts to pieces. Now he is coming for Christmas! I don't know I kinda want to see him but, then every thing he did to me. I know I should forgive him. What should I do? Be nice to him and try to forgive him or, kill him (not literally).

Maybe you should confront him and ask your father why he left in the first place. Ask him why he came home for Christmas, and maybe ask if he's just going to leave your family alone after the holidays. As his son, you deserve to know the answers. Depending on the answers, then you can forgive him, or you can detest him. It's up to you from there.

 

I'm sorry your father left you, and I hope everything goes for the better. If it doesn't, then just keep holding strong.

ill you should see how your mother feels when he coems to see you guys but if he is sad and misses you you could proply try to chree him up

He left because he like to sleep around and other things and then this is were my hatred comes from he tells me that he still loves my mother!!

I agree 100% with Reikon he had his chance and wasted it, I think if you are nice to him you're just preparing yourself to get hurt.

Family, no matter what they do, are all you've got eventually. Don't learn it the hard way.

 

I'd say you should, in your heart, forgive him. Don't just let it go, though. It's not something little that he just left you and broke your family's heart. Your mom must be especially upset. I'd confront him, and tell him he better have a good as hell explanation. Still hang out with and love your dad, forgive him, but tell him outright you're not going to forget this.

He likes to sleep around, so maybe he left because he didn't want to keep doing it to your mum. But that's chickening out of everything so it's understandable also why you hate him.

 

See how your mum reacts, if she reacts badly it's understandable you'll want to side with her - but don't forget he's your dad so you have to take into account his story as well.

 

Hear both sides, don't let them persuade you, you have to make your mind up who to believe.
