Posted November 13, 201014 yr Well this is unexpected, I never knew SQE had affiliations with Bungie (The Halo Developers.) unless this is some sort of marketing scheme to make both groups money or something, but apparently, Halo Reach Play Arts are being sold, see for yourself. https://ssl.square-enix-shop.com/SqEx/us/ShowProducts.action?site_id=1&categoryId=103&sid=12896092018121nhdqak5AS
November 13, 201014 yr Well the IP belongs to microsoft, and bungie doesn't make halo games for the time being, but this is very strange indeed.
November 13, 201014 yr What the hell? Either Square Enix just took control of the halo series and it hasn't been announced yet or they got some explaining to do...
November 13, 201014 yr thats just werid... and halo's finished now, they can't have taken over It's finished...for bungie. Since Microsoft wants to make as much money off of halo as possible (and ruin the series at the same time) Halo is now operated by 343 Industries. Why Square -Enix is selling Halo figurines is still beyond me.
November 16, 201014 yr Bungie came to SE only for the figurine production. SE makes some pretty high-quality figures, so it only makes sense that Bungie would want a high-quality product to be released along with one of the most (if not, the most) anticipated Halo games ever. Ownership of the series didn't change, just the licensing for the production of the figures.
December 16, 201014 yr I believe they make Play-Arts for a few other IP's other than that of their own. A good example would be the Bayonetta figures they're making and releasing. And of course, as the link pointed out on the left, Devil Mary Cry, Assassins Creed and Metal Gear Solid. Still seems weird to have a company like Square-Enix make figures for a series like Halo though.
December 17, 201014 yr Microsoft just wanted to make as much money as possible. So of course they are going to to turn to SE sering how they are goid at making figurines. It's just another way for Microsoft to make money and ruin the series.
December 17, 201014 yr that or SE is making figures just for the people that pre order halo reach (lengendary addition)
