The geminid meteor shower is peaking tonight and the weather looks pretty good outside. Hourly rates of 120 meteors per hour will be counted after midnight tonight.
"We will see a small area of high clouds move in overnight, however this will not be enough to damper the view for Southern Californians", Southern California Weather Authority Meteorologist Kevin Martin says. "Temperatures will also be above average, as they have been these last several days".
So there you have it, straight for the meteorologist's mouth. Southern California will have a good view of the meteor shower tonight. The weather has been beautiful lately and very warm. Tonight should be a fantastic night
