Ok, its no secret that KH3D is by far the most confusing KH game to date, and we have its story to thank for that.

 

But I was thinking, since Nomura stated that he needs to release 3D to explain all the mysteries required for KHIII.

 

Heres a couple theories I have about the game. The KH1 outfits seems to be throwing everyone off on what the game is about, but Nomura also said that the game would start off in their current outfits (i.e. KHII outfits) and since the game is cleverly named "Dream Drop Distance", this probably implies that it takes place in a dream state. And it seems that the games timeline is working backwards and will reveal all the mysteries of the past titles via a dream world.

 

But what kind of mysteries are we going to solve? Remember in Blank Points, Ansem stated he locked his research within Sora. In Zero Point we see DiZ uploading data to Sora while he sleeps.

 

So, in theory, what this means is that in 3D, Sora and Riku will be using dreams to dive deep into Sora's mind whilst travelling backward through the memories of his adventures to discover the abnormalities and plot holes that we found in the past KH titles, ultimately leading back to the secret that Ansem hid inside him.

that makes too much sence, IT'S FLAWLESS!! it all makes sence if there is somthing wrong with it, e.g. something that wouldn't make sence, i am not yet worthy untill i buy the game, but yeah, we'll all see.

Well, it is quite possible that we will find out what kind of research data AtW had hid within Sora. So we may find out about that at some point in the game. Plus, it is quite possible that Yen Sid will put them in simulated worlds just like he did with Mickey in BBS. Also, I have to dissagree on the whole part about Sora going through his memories. It doesn't seem like that will happen considering that we'll be getting all new worlds in KH:DDD. In other words, I don't want to have to go through a CoM moment.

Thats true I didn't really think that through. It might just be a simulated reimagining of KH1 made by some kind of technology or magic Yen Sid uses for the mark of mastery. What would be cool is if there was like a side-effect or accident that reveals Ansem's data while hes "dreaming".

 

I don't know about you, but if any of our theories are correct, I think its gonna be a pretty damn interesting game

most of that makes sence the only thing is AtW is the only one who knows about the research in sora becaues he was the one who put the data in him this game could revile what kind of data that was and with the little information we have the skys the limint of what we think it could be and i agree with you that this could be one of the most confuseing KH games ever

The dream is when their in their KH1 outfit, the begining is when their in their KH2 outfits, and after the Mark Of Mastery, they change into their brand new outfit (Numora said they might be getting new outfits, which is highly probable), which I like to call, there "KH3" outfits. Firstly, I dont think that the title "Dream Drop Distance" would reference a small part of the game, it wouldn't really be significant that way. And Nomura already stated that they would change from their KH2 outfits into their KH1 outfits for story purposes, well thought out tho

Firstly, I dont think that the title "Dream[/i] Drop Distance" would reference a small part of the game, it wouldn't really be significant that way. And Nomura already stated that they would change from their KH2 outfits into their KH1 outfits for story purposes, well thought out tho
