(Not sure if someone did a thread of this and its a little bit late but still.)

 

on Febuary 21st 1986 The Legend of Zelda came out for the nintendo fanicom (japan's version of the NES) the game was a revlution to the gaming industry, being it was the frist game were you not only able to save, (at that time all games had long annoying passwods, or you had to start over.) but also had A golden cartage, a built in mic in capablity (only on the fanicom) It was an open world anfree roaming.

 

The year of Zelda also has two brand new games coming out later this year. To commence This year. This thred is open to all fans, and talk about their experince with the games, what theories you have and if your excited for the new Zedla games. the remake of Ocrina of Time (one of the BEST GAMES EVER CREATED!) for the 3DS and Skyward Sword (which form this trailer looks amazing =D)

i loved both the DS games, but i abseloutely despised twilight princess

well skyward sword will be the first wii zelda game, maybe it can really ultilise the wii motion plus that they've been advertising.

 

but it's the main mechanics i don't like. for the temples and dog sections, i always had to refer to a guide. i HATE doing that as i have to run back and forth between my room and my wii.

 

so as long as it's puzzles are manageable without a guide, it will be an awesome game.

looks that way. Skyward Sword actully looks liek a complex,badass game, combinding the artistic talants of Wind waker, and Twilight Princess. I honestly loiked TP. not becuase it was the frist rated T game in the series, but i deem the story good enough for OoT to fallow. of course no game will be able to be like OoT! Story wise it was kick butt. TP just enhanced the story arc,ad story a little more.

yeah, but it was a gamecube game, you could tell by the graphics.

The only one I've ever played was Majora's Mask. I loved it back in second grade. <3

 

I really hope they port it onto the Wii or have it as DLC. edit:: Just found out they did. .w. Now to get some me some Wii Points.

we're Zelda fanboys! lol yeah. MM OoT and TP where fantastic and actully WW was pretty much worth it. I wish it didn;t sell my nintendo T.T but i have OoT for gamecube. =D now i jsut need a freaking Wii & Skyward Sword! I hope the remake 3D game of OoT is gonna better, or what they will add to it. seems fun! besides whose your favrite version of ganon/ganondork/ganondorf? I LOVE OoT version of Ganon.

HE's cool in all of them. I didn't really like Twilight Princess Ganon. OoT was cool and WW for him

I'm more of game guy but when i was grewing up i got ps1 over n64 then ps2 over ngc but did get gamecube eventally.I only played zelda on snes which was cool game but i never finished it.I played the zelda games on ds too but i didn't like it has much as other games.So i never really got into zelda

Zelda is one of my favorite game series of all time. I have the original Zelda, The Minish Cap, Four Swords Adventures, the Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess, all of them are excellent games.

 

I am excited about Skyward Sword, and I am also excited about the 25th anniversary game they are working on as well.

yeha i find it funny that KH is almost at the tenth annveristy mark and look at what a game thats at the 25 mark. It's so cool!! I Agree i to am excited for Skyward.
