In BBS Final Mix they have a boss battle that im assuming that is master Xehanorts because he has the same keyblade but in Kh2 it is the same armor but it has xemna's voice so i just don't get what is going on there i mean i get that xemnas is xehanort's nodody but why would he have the same armor as him just asking if you don't get what im on about check out these links

This is just a guess so i dont know if I'm right, but maybe since Xemnas is MX's nobody he has the same powers as him even though he doesn't have a heart. Again this is just a guess so I'm not sure if I'm right.

Well, it kinda makes sense, being the same person technically, that they would have the same armor. Either way, it's not like No Heart is canon, so it isn't really important.

Maybe it's just an evloution for the armor , it happened before remember ? when they show us kh2 secret ending and we saw TVA armor , it wasn't the same color at all : Aqua was purple it turns into kind of silver and blue , Ventus was grey then they change it into green with silver , Terra's one was black with grey then they change it into gold with yellow and orange , they change it in kh2fm and bbs , so maybe they r doing the same thing with Xehanort armor

Since Xemnas is MX's nobody, Xemnas has his memories and probably either created an armor based on MX's armor or simply used MX's old armor...somehow.

That was just something the designers changed. They figured it'd look better with more color. It doesn't have anything to do with the actual story

The armor needed a redesign to be more mobile than the one in KH2.

I seem to remembering hearing that MX got rid of his armor for some reason. Does anybody remember this and if you do, what the reason for MX getting rid of it?

So the power of darkness could flow into him.

The armor was a way of crossing to different worlds without darkness seeping in. MX however thought of this as a way of fearing the darkness, and discarded it to try and control the darkness instead. It's mentioned in one of the early Xehanort reports in BBS.
