I love Higurashi. :D It was so sad, though, especially season 1.

Oww. I was planning on searching, but now I won't D8

if you havent seen it, I suggest you don't spoil yourself. It's really a great anime. The first season is mostly horror, while the second is very touching, to me at least. But there's still some of that gore from the first season in the second season. Its a great anime, I loved it <3 Kind of firetrucked up but amazing. If you're into thrillers and psychological kinda of horror, with some blood here and there, you should watch it <3

I sound like some sort of reviewer rofl.

i just looked at that Satoko's death scene... that's pretty f**ked up.

Oh, and yes, I have seen it, if it wasn't obvious *points at avi*, the story is really good, and I loved the ending :D

There's a lot of blood in the first season, but the second one really focuses on story instead. But Rei was dissapointing, to say the least. I suggest you watch this anime, it's my favourite anime of all time.

@people who saw Satoko death scene and based the anime off that, don't. The guy just immediately vsaid the most sadistic and messed up scene, and chose to show you that. There's a lot more to the anime than blood, it's not a typical Naruto anime, which can only be a plus.

Higurashi's also a comic relief, making each of the characters likable, and focusing on a different person for each of the arcs in Season 1, so you won't get bored of the same character over and over, but Rika is totally awesome. /biased review

The scene makes sense in context...kinda sorta. xD;;

Don't let it turn you off from the series.

But why was she torturing them? ( Keichii,Satoko,Rika,etc.)

^

She thought that if she killed everyone who "wronged" Satoshi that he would be pleased with her or some shizz like that. Though since she was a tad bit insane at that point, her reasoning wasn't really the best.

I love Higurashi. It's definitely one of my top 5 favourite animes. I love the depth the characters have, the horror, suspense, everything. It's really great, I suggest it to everyone who doesn't have a problem with gore and blood/violence.

Wait, why didn't I mention this before, there's going to be another season coming out, but just OVA's like with Rei. Yay :D
