September 12, 200916 yr Referrals are....um...referrals. lol. Like, when someone signs up to the site, there's a box that asks them who referred them, or who told them about the site, and if they put your username there, that counts as a referral... Though it's not a very reliable system as the people you refer don't always fill that box out. DC used to give rep points for referrals while the site was still small, but I don't think he does that anymore.
