ok so im figghting as aqua at the moment and van is way too fast for me to hit him a few times before he kills me. i have like all the health i can get but i dont have second chance o last live or whatever and idk how to get it either. any tips would be good. thnx

One way to get Once More (That's what you meant by last live) is by attaching a Wellspring Crystal while melding Mega Flare (Fission Firaga + Crawling Firaga), I can never seem to remember a way to get it other than that. I think you can get Second Chance by attaching a Pulsing Crystal while melding Curaga (Cura + Cura), but I'm not entirely sure, try it out, though you probably could get it by doing a similar meld with Firaga (Fira + Fira), Blizzaga (Blizzara + Blizzara), or Thundaga (Thundara + Thundara), but I'm not very sure.

 

Just a reminder, use Mega Potions instead of Cure commands, VLS will copy your healing command if you use it apparently. The only tactic that I know is to use Mine Commands. I'm pretty sure he can be tricked into getting into range of Seeker Mines, but you might want to test that out first. Make sure you have whatever Mine commands you are using leveled up fully, because they will have more Mines and I believe they deal more damage, and that is valuable because VLS has such a high defense.

 

A suggestion at the beginning of the battle, he will always start off with that annoying attack that has dark clones come after you. When the battle starts, go forward and attack him, chances are you won't hit him, but he won't initiate that attack, so one thing not to worry about right?

 

That's just about all the advice I can give, I've only beaten him with Ventus by using that Tornado strategy where you get him with two Tornado attacks then hit him when he lands, just barely pulled it off, I think Aqua is too under-leveled to take him on, I'm only at like, Lvl 30, but that doesn't really matter. Anyways, good luck with VLS.

 

Edit: Oh btw, there's nothing to be ashamed of if you are a dodge maniac, in fact, that is highly recommended for this in my opinion, so, Dodge like crazy!

perfect i beat vanitas with aqua so first, use dodge alot(aquas one keeps u safe throughout the entire battle so if he attacks you dodge until he completes stops attacking) next thing you need is a bunch of pots (dont use curas) also i suggest you equip the mines that follow the enemy (those are perfect when hes running at, you plant them and as soon as you do he'll attack and thats when u start dodging and stay around the minds he'll get hit) sometimes hill get stopped by mines and thats when you can attack with keyblade. Also get a couple ethers as well (they can help u use your attacks more often. So mainly dodge like H#($ and only use attacks or pots when hes running from far away or when he has his big pauses http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/happy.gif

I highly suggest you dont attack when he does that because even if he doesnt do it he'll dash at you (worse) so just let him do his clones and just dodge around him (just keep circling him till he stops)

Youtube. Also, use 4 mine squares and in the last 4 slots put in any of the potions of your choice.

Ok I beat him the other day and I had in my command deck:

Sonic Blade

Hi-Potion

Curaga

Tornado

Tornado

Aerial Slam

 

Now what I did at first was let him do that move when he covers himself with darkness then makes clones of himself attack me but dodge roll in a circle around him then I used a Tornado really quickly and took out lots of his life then I attaked him with aerial slam and sonic blade to take a bit more of his life. then he done that move byy covering himself with darkness and making clones attack me but dodge rool then used tornado again to bring down his life more then I attacked him just once more then he died

I've done it plenty of times and have never had any troubles.

just use 2 tornados
