This is a philosophy that i created to try to explain the cosmology of Kingdom hearts in the best logical fashion. It is use primarily in my graphic novel TWILIGHT'S ENIGMA, which i guess i will post soon enough. These are parts 1 and 2 of Seven.
GRASPING THE CORONA [a philosophy based on Twilight's Enigma, and Kingdom Hearts, for that matter.
[Part One-The Concept of Being]
In being, there consist of three elements: the Mind, the Body and the Heart (but what one would more commonly call the soul). The thing that binds the three together is the spirit, or life blood, which flows through all elements, and all three plains. No one element can exist on it's own , but they can easily be explained.
The BODY is the tie that the being has to the physical plain. It interacts with the physical world, and can be thought of as the vessel that houses the other two elements.
The MIND is the element that concerns itself with the logical and systematic affairs that a being comes across. Not blinded by emotion or emotional concerns, it can be compared to a CPU of a computer, basically analyzing all things that it comes across in a deductive manner.
The HEART (or soul, if you will) is sort of the antithesis of the mind. I houses the emotion and sentiment, personality and memories. All concepts that modern religion concerns itself with (morality and whatnot) is contained within the heart.
The SPIRIT ties the three together. it can be explained as a persons vigor, vivacity, or inner energy (chakra, as oriental religions describe it). When this thread is broken, either through extreme trauma on one of the three elements, usually, one of three results ensue: the NOBODY, the HEARTLESS, and the DECEASED. Ones who thread is not broken, who houses all three elements, is an ordinary human.
The NOBODY is the result when the body and mind remain. They comport based on sheer logic and reasoning. With the heart missing, they cannot grasp the concept of emotion and morality. Due to their aptness of applying logic to all situations, they are aware that they lack a heart and all concepts pertaining to it, so they seek to rectify the situation. Whether this is in vain never occurs to them, since that is a matter of the heart.
The HEARTLESS is the result when the body, and, ironically, the heart remains. They act based on sheer emotional desires, drives and the sort. Lacking a mind, they do not use logic when acting, therefore the morals that the heart DOES house are never put into play. They comport based on selfishness, never applying the thought that other are affected by this. This usually leads to the destructive behavior of people and things. This, ironically, display the notion that they have no heart, no feelings for others. The thought of being whole never crosses their mind because they don't have the knowledge to deduce that.
the DECEASED (or dead, if you will), is the result when the mind and the heart remain. Obviously, since they have no body, they do not exist of the physical plain (primarily), but since they are of two of the three elements, this creates the paradox of a ghost, which does exist, somewhat, on the physical plain. However, the majority of Ghosts retire to Kingdom Hearts, the realm of the dead. Having no form, but logic and emotion, they long for a body, but since they exist in ghost form (as a formless being consisting of the fusion of mind and heart), they do not need a body, yet another paradox. Therefore, they exist in the two. This complex of contradictions is known as the TWILIGHT'S ENIGMA.
[Part Two: The Kingdom Hearts Complex, and Further Explanation of the TWILIGHT'S ENIGMA]
[The elements of Heart and Mind, lost respectively by the Nobody and Heartless, are also components of Kingdom Hearts (only the body remains in the physical plain after death) They will be reunited with the missing heart or mind after the end of the corresponding nobody or heartless after death.]
Kingdom Hearts, or more precisely, the Kingdom of Ghosts (a heart-mind) is the realm where ghost recede to after death. This can be thought of as the after life. In the world of Kingdom Hearts and Twilight's Enigma, it appears as a heart shaped moon, or, more precisely, a heart shaped cloud formation around the moon, the mist consisting of the heart-minds. This mist appears because of the heart-minds' bind with other heart-minds, eventually forming one Heart-mind, a ghost that enhouses all experiences of all heart-minds that it consists of.
Periodically, Kingdom Hearts becomes saturated with ghosts, and therefore, ghosts begin to rain down from it, inhabiting he physical plain (it should be stated that Kingdom Hearts is one plain, the physical plain being the other, and heart-minds can only exist in one of the two. There is no apparent plain in between, but a corridor where the heart-minds and physical beings can travel from one to the other: Betwixt and Between). It is possible for a Heart mind to inhabit a human, Nobody, or Heartless, which will be discussed later.
The TWILIGHT'S ENIGMA, as alluded to earlier, is a paradox in which a heart-mind, having known that they have died, and having the logical/deductive skills to reason so, seek to reunite with their bodies, yet, being configured of two elements, have some existential being, and have no need for a body, for they are a ghost. Since they are constantly plagued with the thoughts in between the two, they exist in between the two. This is the phenomenon known as 'Twilight's Enigma' (so called because of the nature of twilight, both embodying the night's sky and the day's sunlight.) It is this paradox which the Nobody (and few human philosophers) are aware of, and seek to take advantage of.
