Here's what I do. NOTE: I had to put ~ instead of [ and ] or the system would try to link it and it ruined my examples.

 

Type the [media][/media] things, then put the url between them so it's ~media~ URL ~/media~.

 

Then it bugs the hell out. Edit the post and it'll have the [media] brackets still with two URLs in it. Something like ~media~ URL ~url="URL~

 

Delete the first address and all the little extras off the second address so it looks like the first time you typed it in. ~media~ URL ~/media~

 

And then for some reason it works. Took me forever to get that going.
