Name: Thom Stone.

Bio: Thom was the son of a Ex-Special Forces turned Cop and a high school math teacher. His father taught Thom how to defend himself and others in nearly in situation. During a visit with his family to an old temple from a couple thousand years back, Thom found a room with glowing runes in it. The runes seemed to be moving around in a pattern, and that pattern was speeding up. Though magic was rare then, Thom knew what the runes meant: Something bad. He quickly yelled for everyone to exit the temple. As he ushered the last tourists out, a magic blast over took him and he blacked out. When he awoke, he found himself on the edge of of the now island floating in air. He also found that he had changed. He had blue skin, horns, and more. He later found out he turned that way because of the magical energy. Several other people had mutated where he was and many others were reported around the world. Thom, while trying to figure out what had happened, accidentally threw a Lightning bolt from his hand to a tree. His mother, a scientist at heart, encouraged him to practice. He do so, finding he could do more and more things through magic. Many others also showed ability to use magic. Thom knew he had to do something with this, but what?

Thom could feel sweat start to form on his brow. He wasn't that worried about fighting the drake, but he did have Airra to consider. She was a capable fighter, from what Thom saw, but that didn't stop him from worrying about what would happen in battle with the drake. He got her into this, he was responsible for her. He considered what to do when he got a tickle up his spin. Something else was around. Thom slowly looked around to see the hooded figure. Thom wasn't given time to fully compute this development as at nearly the moment, the drake roared and charged Thom and Airra.

The drake started to stomp towadds them, Airra slipped out of the bushes and pulled out her kitana. The drake froze as if surprised. Airra hesitated still looking back at the hooded figure.

(Airra pull it togethor, take this thing out first and then deal with the hooded thing.) She thought as she took a deep breath. The drake charged once again and Airra slashed through its feet, she jumped back and gasped.

"What? He doesnf even have a scratch on him!" Airra said as she panted. She then looked at the cuffs on her hands.

(Ill take the cuffs off then use magic and then when this monster is killed, ill put the cuffs back on. Using magic is probably the best option right now.) She thought as she pulled off the cuffs and started to concentrate.

Thom drew his long sword and followed Airra in. He managed to impart a little magical energy to his weapon before reaching the drake. The faintly glowing blade of Thom's sword arched toward the drake's side. The creature, though only an animal, knew that this attack was dangerous. It moved as fast it could to escape Thom, but still received a long cut.

Roaring with pain, the drake swung it's tall to strike at Thom. Thom managed to duck under the long tail and hacked at the tail, hacking through the spiked end.

The drake stumbled back and let loss with it's secret weapon; its breath. A jet of flame lanced from its mouth and toward Thom. Thom, surprised at this mutation in the drake, dived to the ground to avoid the flames.

(Goodness, this really is hard, there, concentrate all magic.) She talked in her head as her blade started to glow. Airra opened her eyes and now saw she was using magic. She took a deep breath and held her sword out. The magic burned her hands, but she knew she needed to be strong. The creauture then used his breath for attack then charged Airra slashed at its feet. The drake fell backwards and howled in pain.

(Magic did work!) She thought as she held out her blade.

Thom rolled up into a crouching position. Watching Airra fight, he took a moment to pour more magic into his sword.

"That should help." Thom thought.

Thom sprang from his crouch at the Drake, aiming his sword toward the creature's chest and, Thom hopped, its heart. Thom plunged his blade into the drake, whose howls turned up another few pitches. Thom concentrated on the tips of his fingers and sent lightning through them into the sword and, in turn, the drake.

The creature slowly fell to the ground and started fading away. She nodded at Thom and went behind the bushes to collect her cuffs. After placing the cuffs back on her wrists, she felt something clod and sharp placed on her neck. She turned to see the hooded figure behind her, kitana in his hand.

(What the heck? Thats... mine...) she thought in her head as she looked at the blade. She glanced at Thom and back at the figure.

"Give me those cuffs."

Thom stayed perfectly still for a moment. He then offered up his sword in a nonaggression gesture and through it to the ground...discharging the magic he had put into it in a flash of light and loud snap, deafening all three people. Thom, prepared for this, ran and tackled the hooded figure, making sure to get the katana away from Airra. Grabbing the hand the sword was in, Thom slammed into the ground several times till the figure dropped it.

Airra looked at her wrists.

"My cuffs?" She said slowly. She then saw Thom and the figure struggling. Her eyes opened wide.

"Stop!" She said in a fast tone. She scurried to the figure and looked at it. She tried to pull off its hood, but it resisited.

"C'mon now." Airra said as she touched his hood and slowly pulled it back. It then revealed a young man, one of which Airra knew. Airra was enraged.

"Why you!" She yelled as she punched the boy in the face.

Thom raised his eye brows. Airra knew this guy?

Thom, deciding to focus on something he could solve on his own, kicked Airra's katana away from the young man. He then moved back from the young man and drew his Glock. He didn't point the gun at the guy, but made its presence know.

"So..." Thom asked Airra, then paused. "You know this guy?"

Airr paced back and forth while mumbling, she then froze.

"Yeah." She said as she sighed. She threw one of the cuffs at the boy. He put it on and turned into a large creature.

"This, is Asher. My brother." She said as she looked at him.

Thom blinked a few times and made to say something, then stopped. Not quite what he was expecting.

"Okaaaay" he said, looking Asher over.

Asher seemed to be one of the worst cases of magical mutation Thom had seen in a human. This definitely topped his own physical mutation. The main question on Thom's mind was how Asher's mind was.

"You still alright, in there?" He asked Asher.

Asher looked at the mysterious man silently.

(Hes different. Probablt fron the blast. But what is he doing with Airra.) He thought as she looked at him. Airra looked at her brother blankly and sighed.

"Keep the cuffs on. Ill take you to dad later. Is that all you wanted?" Airra asked.

"No i saw you fighting that thing so i came to help."

"Well...thanks." Thom said.

"At least he can talk and thing." Thom mentally noted.

"Well I'm Thom. Glad to meet you, Asher."

"Yeah, Nice to meet you Thom." Asher said as he looked at the two.

"What are you guys doing here anyways?" Asher asked confusingly as he looked at the building. Airra sighed and looked at Asher.

(Its been forever since ive seen him. He looks different.. and todat of all days.. dad is gonna kill me for sure.) Airra thought as she picked up the kitanas.

"We're looking for facts about what caused the Blast." Thom answered. "Figured an old MDD building might shed some answers to a magical problem."

Thom glanced around, then back at Asher.

"You been inside the building?"

Asher scoffed.

"Nope." He said as he sighed. He looked at Airra theb back at the building.

"But i bet you dad has been in there." Asher said as he looked at the building. He grabbed a kitana from Airra and started walking towards the entrance.

Thom watched after Asher for a moment. He then picked up his sword and followed.

"What do you want from the building?" He asked Asher.

He stopped and turned half around. He looked at Airra and raised a questioning eyebrow.

Airra shrugged. Asher then froze in his footsteps.

"You'll see. I left something in there a couple years ago, i wonder if its still there." Asher said as he entered silently. Airra grabbed Thoms arm and pulled him inside the building. She was glad Asger was back, but if her dad found out, that would mean more expiriments.

Thom felt rather confused by all this, but he pushed that from his mind. There were somethings he didn't have to know. Airra seemed alright with Asher's preasence, so things were fine. Of course, Thom knew the true meaning of the term fine.

"Okay, I'm mainly looking for records and readings taken around the te ofnthe Blast." he said.

Thom glanced over at Asher.

"What are you looking for?"

"Well, i guess you can say, i want to find a scientist, who can make me human again.. and, i want everything can go back to the way it was, before the blast. I met a man, he said that if i found the right scientist, he could fix everything. But i doubt id find something like that. I know for a fact, my dad isnt that man. He may have turned me into this, but for sure, he cant turn me back." Asher said as he looked at his sister, Airra.

"At least you turned out okay." He told her. He then turned to Thom.

"You changed during the blast too huh?" Asher said as he put his hands behind his head.

Thom nodded.

"I was at one of the fault lines when the Blast went of." he explained.

He glanced down at his clawed hand.

"At least I'm still humanoid. Heard of a guy how turned into something like a centaur."

Thom thought a moment.

"I'd like to lend a hand in your search, if you don't mind."

Asher smiled and nodded.

"Thanks, i doubt i could do that alone. Anyways," he said as he turned to Airra.

"Airra, would you mind helping us?" Asher asked as he smiled. Airra was shocked. Her brother had just returned and he already wanted to start with his crazy adventures again. Airra sighed.

"I dont know asher." Airra said unsure. Asher laughed.

"C'mon. Ill be with you. And so will he." Asher said looking at Thom then back at Airra.

Thom looked over at Airra.

"Hey, it's a chance to help your brother." He said, then regretted it. He didn't want to pressure her into doing something she didn't want to. "What ever you think is best, Airra."

Thom didn't think that helped too much, but he had to say something. To occupy his mind, he started to study the inside of the building. As he didn't have magic before the blast, he had never been inside a MDD building. From the little decor that survived, it looked like the were trying to scare the crap out of anybody that came through the door.

Airra sighed then looked at the two.

"Fine ill help out." Airra said as she smiled. Asher smiled and looked at the building.

"So i never got the chance to ask, what are you guys looking for?" Asher said as he put his hands behind his head then looked at Airra. Airra looked at Thom and waited for his reply to Ashers question.

"Files, documents, anything." Thom said, watching the dark corners warily. Who knows what traps or creatures the MDD left behind.

"Just trying to figure out what caused the blast. Most people still don't know what happened exactly."

He looked down a moment, then resumed his vigil.

"I was near one of the epicenters of the Blast. I saw runes light up and explode. Someone set that off. I..."

His voice trailed off. It returned a moment later, a little stronger than before.

"I intend to find out who cast that spell."
