Is Xehanort's heartless an Emblem? After a little thinking it seems that Xehanort might've created this unique heartless and gave his heart to it before being consumed by the darkness and becoming Xemnas. What do you guys think?

By Xehanort's heartless, I presume you mean Ansem. He's a complicated one, but I doubt he's an emblem. Although when he fused himself with his guardian and end of the world, I think he could be classed as an emblem.

Some people are of the idea that Xehanort's Heartless is both Emblem and Pureblood. Apprentice Xehanort (ala Terra!nort) would have two hearts in his body, so I don't think the concept of more than one Heartless being glued together could be too far off. The body itself is the Emblem, as that never seems to leave him, and the Guardian would be the Pureblood.

Stabbing yourself with the Keyblade the way MX did made Sora a Heartless, so here's a thought, was he a Heartless inside Terra's body, the Guardian from the beginning? Why, yes. Wasn't the Guardian involved in that last fight? But the body itself was not an 'Emblem' or any sort of Heartless yet.

Then again, the body could have fallen to darkness quite normally later on but I suppose we'll never know. He could just wear the emblem as a symbol of his leadership over the Heartless.

Oh knows. Maybe it will be revealed in the later games. Maybe it will never be told. I don't really have an opinion because I never really thought about it.

Xehanort created the Emblem Heartless, so he could have branded them like cattle at a ranch. The Heartless symbol look similar to Eraqus' symbol, so he could have subconsciencely remembered it, made it the Heartless symbol, and wore it. That's what I think.
