This is a 1x1 based on ffxiii. We will start at the beqininq of our story which is were the civilians are boardinq the train to be purqed.

 

"Alriqht, keep movinq!" The soldier yelled out to the line. Airra stood there hooded and keepinq quiet. She kept her winqs tucked into her cloak and qot to the soldier. They inspected her then motioned her onto the train. Airra boarded and sat in a chair. ("Gettinq purqed wasnt the plan! Uqh! How could i mees up!") She thouqht as she clenched her fists.

Sarmen thought a moment.

"Listen," he began saying to Lightning, "I want to thank you for all your help. All of you helped us out of a big jam. I hope I can return the favor some day."

He paused a moment as he considered how he was going to what came next.

"You are wondering about our focus." Lightning put in.

Sarmen nodded.

"It is a on going problem." She said with a shrug. "We will deal with it, just like you have to deal with your own."

Sarmen nodded again.

"But if we are holding you up-" he started, before Lightning cut him off with a wave of a hand.

"Let us worry about that." She said firmly. "We may need to part company at some point, but until then, we can stick together on this."

Snow nodded with a grin.

"We are with you on this all the way." He said as Vanille and Hope approached.

"Thank you, all of you. I'll find a way to repay all of you." Airra said as she looked at them all.

"No prob, we're like a family, you and Sarmen have just been added to it." Snow said as Airra nodded and laughed.

"Seems like the first time i've ever heard you laugh, that aint good." Fang said as she stepped up and messed with Airra's hair. Airra smiled ar her remark, and looked over to Sarmen who was too occupied to talk to Airra,

"So you two are like a couple on this?" Snow said as he sat next to Airra.

"What? Couple? No, of course not. We're just partners guess, maybe not even that, we just want to get this over with, at least i do.." Airra said as her voice trailed off.

"i know what we should do, after we get off this ship, we should go celebrate!" Vanille implied.

"Celebrate?"

"Yeah! You and Sarmen's arrival to our family!" Vanille said with a hop and a huge smile. Airra nodded.

Sarmen caught a few pieces of what the others were talking about and chuckled.

"See what I mean?" Lightning said, a slight smile on her face. "We tend to take a lot of people in."

"Well, with the people we have here, I'd say we got a good family going."

Vanille's comment about leaving the ship rang in Sarmen's head. There was problems with keeping it and there was problems with leaving it behind. He had a few ideas, but he needed to bounce them off somebody. He went up to the cockpit to Talk to Sazh.

Airra smiled and laughed, "That sounds like a good idea to me."

"Yeah! So you can get your mind off of things." Vanille added as she took Airra's hands and jumped up and down.

"Airra." Lighning said. Airra turned to see Lightning leaning against the wall as she flicked her head and turned around. Airra took it as a sign to go over so she went.

"What's up?"

"I know, you guys want to forget about what's going I for a while. But I wanted to ask you a quick question."

"Ok, Shoot."

"Have you ever thought you might be an Eidolon?"

"Eidolon? I'm a l'cie aren't I supposed to have one?"

"Yeah, I met your brother Camron an we both came up with the assumption that your focus may be, to be Sarmen's eidolon." Lightning said placing a hand on Airra's shoulder. Airra was speechless and could only gulp..

Sarmen sat down in the co-pilot's seat. Sazh looked up from the controls and gave a thumbs up.

"I'd say that's the cleanest get away I've seen in a while." Sazh said with a laugh.

Sarmen could tell that there was an edge of sadness in the statement. As l'Cie, they had all had to run a lot.

"Love to keep this bird for the future." Sarmen said. "But she's traceable."

Sazh nodded gloomily.

"Which means more walking. It's keeping me fit, but my legs ain't happy about it."

Sarmen considered how to phrase what he wanted to ask.

"We could keep the ship if we change the ship's ID numbers and transponders."

Sazh made a face.

"You'd need some serious Blackmarket connections for that. I knew a few other pilot's that I suspected of ties, but never found out."

Sarmen nodded. He figured that Sazh wouldn't know where to get something like that done, but it was worth a try.

"It's a possibility?"

"no, it's the truth, that myth, that's you guys. You are Sarmen's eidolon." She said examining we crystal.

"Once we get off, you and me we're going to train you to turn into that eidolon." Airra looked at her wide eyed and nodded.

"I'm ready for it"
